Down the trap door is a dark descent. Luckily the fall only lasts a few moments, as you land on the ground with a soft thud. The tunnel is dark, but Danny ignites a few fireballs that act as torches along the way.

Eventually the tunnel opens up into a huge cave, bowl shaped and oddly beautiful. Torches line the walls, rendering Danny's fire completely unneeded, as they do more than enough in terms of lighting. In the center of the underground cavern sits a pool, created by a waterfall that descends from the ceiling. Besides the pool you can see a few various objects, such as a mirror with an ornate, archaic trim, a long tapestry along one of the walls depicting reddish colored fish in a stream, and a statue of a heroic figure, whos face has long since been marred and brushed away by time, but who's stormcloud shaped scar still remains prominent on their forehead.

Around the pool is a set of stalagmites, which stand like tall pillars, almost like guards to the pool. However, they are few and far between, which makes the pool easily accessible.

The scene is idyllic, peaceful, and yet also somewhat somber. A wash of blue bathes the area in something sad, a feeling of time long since passed. For a moment or two, you actually feel solemn yourself- as though there's some tragic event that's occurred and you've forgotten what exactly it was. However, the feeling passes quickly, leaving you once again in the silent peace of the cavern.

However, this peace is interrupted, as West (having been swallowed up by the vines now), comes flying down the waterfall (yes this means you are fully soaked- but at least the water broke your fall!) and back to the rest of the group. United together again!

After landing, Shun followed along while Danny provided some lighting. He kept his ears out for anything else that might be down here. It soon wasn't needed, as some torches ended up coming into play. Seeing how they were now in a large cavern with a number of different objects, the reaper went on to investigate what some of them were.

His blades were summoned quickly as there was some quick movement coming down.

Oh. It was just West. With a huff, he dismissed his daggers once more, shaking his head to himself. He went on to approach the mirror to examine it.

The mirror is large, and somewhat out of place in such an archaic cavern, but the thick layer of dust that surrounds it hints that maybe it was meant to stay hidden for a reason.

As Shun approaches the mirror, it seems to hum, as though measuring him up. The image is that which you would expect- a reflection of the cavern behind him. Then it begins to shift, to an image that only Shun can see. In the mirror he can see himself at the peak of his happiness. It portrays him as he wants to be in life- whatever he wants most, wherever he is happiest. It could be the future, the past, whatever it is that Shun would see.

Regardless of if he tries to turn away, he would find that, at least for a moment, he couldn't, as he was entranced by the picture.

But then, just as quickly as the image appeared, it disappears. The ensnarement disappears. The image is once again Shun, in the cavern.

"A trap door really?" This was way weird. Just ten seconds ago that old guy was clearly trying to kill them. (The whole excited act didn't fool Andrew for a minute. nope.)

But when Danny jumped in what was there really to do? He did not want to be up here with the dog, or with the socks any longer. Andrew followed them down the trap door landing with a soft thud behind them.

A sound caught Andrew's attention, a slash that sent Andrew more then a few feet away from the pool. Oh wait that was... the annoying one that tried to make him barf on the train. "What's wrong, all washed up? Did they give you your bath for the week?" Andrew chucked as he scooted even further away from the wet demon.

The vines didn't let up, and eventually, no matter how hard he tried, West couldn't move at all. He silently cursed Danny, trains, stupid castles, artifacts, doors, and everything else that crossed his mind until he was completely consumed then spat out into a formerly tranquil pool. He ignored Andrew for the time being, glaring at Shun and his snooty sneer as he made his way to the water's edge and back onto the shore, muttering over the state of his hair and clothes as he went.

He then took a step closer as the flame demon moved away. "Weekly bath. Says th' one who's prob'ly never had one." West recalled Danny begging for a ride through a fairly shallow stream the last time they'd gone adventuring. Surely this boil reacted similarly. "Wanna dry me off wit' yer little fire?" West took another step.

Danny, meanwhile, had taken to examining the stalagmites. "Hey! BE NICE GUYS." She flicked a fireball at Andrew for effect, perfectly aware that it would do absolutely nothing but maybe tickle his arm a little. "We gotta find the ... the thing!"

Yes, she had already forgotten why they were looking in the first place.

"What ya lookin' at?" she asked Shun. Was the mirror important?

"I bath. Just not in water." he stayed well away from the wet gross soggy demon.

Until he was hit by a fireball. He glared back at the one who did it. "I'll be nice here fine, I'll help him dry." he lit up a hand and actually did bother to send some heat in West's direction, careful to not actually set him on fire. The flames might have licked a little close, but West did ask after all.

"Hey this statue looks a little like you soggy." Andrew made a face at the thing vaguely wondering if it was a stature or maybe a person. Statues had a tendency to move after all.

At first, nothing was really seen in the mirror that was really of interest. But just before Shun began to turn away, he noticed the image began to turn into something else. He paused, furrowing his brow as the reflection distorted and shifted. He still saw himself, but he could also see Mitsu there with him. The two of them looked happy and at peace.

When Danny spoke up, he blinked and shook his head, snapping out of the moment's trance the mirror had put him in.

"...Nothing really," he muttered, turning away to head elsewhere. He wasn't really sure what was up with the mirror.

Taima glared--silently--at the cerberus as she passed it, peering into the trapdoor before jumping down through it. Her wings spread to slow her descent and she landed lightly, if a little behind the others. She followed the light of Danny's fireballs, her eyebrows rising in pleased surprise as they eventually wound up in a large cavern. This was already the most interesting part of the trip so far--so much to explore! Taima's attention was caught by the tapestry hanging on the wall, and she went to get a better look at it. Her fingers traced the woven fish, and she suddenly wished she had gotten something to eat while they were still on the train.

He certainly hadn't expected Andrew to lend him any fire, sarcastically or otherwise, and even though it only sort of worked in the whole drying capacity, West muttered a grudging, "Thanks," as the other boil's flame passed nearby. They weren't BFFs now or anything, but West was capable of controlling himself and Danny had asked so nicely.

"What've you guys been up to, eh?" he asked the small group, his voice louder than the serene space called for. "An' where's this... thing, anyway?" He squinted at the statue, then turned back to Andrew. "I look nothin' like that," he said in all seriousness. The day he got a cloud tattooed on his forehead would be the day he'd lost his mind.

Andrew's lending of the fire might have had an alternate goal in mind, it wasn't because he was being nice. He just figured that drying off the annoying thing would lower his chances of getting wet. It looked like that succeed.

"Oh sure it does. The storm cloud looks just like your mood. It's a perfect match." he reached up to touch it completely ignoring the somber aura of the area. "I thought we were hunting treasure, all I see here is a bunch of water and old junk."

The tapestry fish seem to move and sway, but do relatively nothing to help the situation, even though you thought they might.

The statue is actually of West's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather, not that he would know that. The statue stays stationary and cold, its whiteish marble oddly out of place in the area.

The only thing that truly sets it apart from looking remotely like West is an enormous bump on its face. It's odd- the very top of the bump looks weathered, but the sides of it look as though it is made of a material even newer than the rest of the stone.

"What the hell are we trying to find here again?" Shun grumbled as he placed his hands into his pockets, looking over the others.

"A dumb ball that's supposed to make me remember stuff." Danny was oddly coarse about the subject, not sounding interested. It was strange because normally she was excited about literally anything.

She peered into the lake and noticed a large keyhole sitting in the center. "Hey guys look! There's a thingy!"

"Hm," West said. Well, he couldn't argue with the boil's assessment of his mood. But what did Ol' Flamey expect after the overly friendly vines and the surprise bath? He shrugged as he wandered closer to the statue, squinting at the unflattering lump on his distant relative's face.

Brushing aside Danny's observation about the lake for the moment, West reached up and jammed his finger into Mr. Thunderbolt's giant marble pimple.
