[PRP - West] Sweet songs on the air! (Hidaya x Dalki)

To say Hidaya hadn't settled into the pride wonderfully was a gross understatement, she adored the pride so far, especially the creative spirit that seemed to envelop everyone in her house. She had already had a wonderful conversation with Duchess Zhao and had enjoyed talking to some of the other bards - as well as perform for some of them, the Duchess included, Hidaya was just ontop of the world.
Granted getting used to a new name was a bit odd, but it was a small shift of comforts that she was happily getting used to as well.

Yes she was very happy.

Today, as the sun was just painting the sky orange with the evening, she was out on a walk as she was thinking of the task Duchess Zhao had put before her, thinking of a couple of love songs to perform for her and perhaps a few others. That would be wonderful to do! Her smile just lit up her muzzle as she stepped amongst some foliage before sitting on a small smooth rock, this would make a nice little performance area whilst she warmed up.

Maybe whilst she warmed up she'd get some inspiration for those songs too!

Whilst the sky grew darker, she let the air escape her lungs in a wordless aria, piping a lilting melody as she warmed up her vocal chords and practically heralded the stars for the evening as they started to slowly twinkle into existence one by one in the growing indigo sky.

Dalki's pace was fast, his slim form ducking through the landscape easily. He had grown up knowing that he was destined to be a messenger. He got to explore the lands, ducking between the houses under the guise of delivering messages to various members of the pride. Occassionally his jobs were actually legitimate, but often he was just going off on an adventure and hoping to drum up business.

He had a good memory, and so he barely looked where he was going, moving with a great deal of instincts guiding him to his location. He was headed home, back to the South House from the West. He hadn't quite left the West yet, taking the long way home, when the sound caught his attention.

Oh, that was new.

He paused, glancing around him before letting his ears guide him.

It didn't take him long to find her, her pale form standing out in the normal landscape. Oh. He hadn't seen her before. He hesitated, but didn't call out, wanting to listen to her song. She might stop singing if he spoke up! It was much better to just stand and listen.

She was beautiful, and Dalki felt himself flushing a little. She was probably some high class lady or something, and he was just a lowly messenger but for the moment, Dalki let himself be captivated by the female before him.

Enjoying how her throat heated with the continuation of her aria, she finally allowed her lungs to breath. That was a good warm up, got her nice and pumped as she sat on her little stone platform, lungs tingling and smile beaming as her mind trundled away at what possible love she could sing about, having never experienced it, it was hard to exactly have any experience on the subject....inspiration however.

Letting her blue eyes scan the heavens as the stars began to twinkle into existence and the soft evening breeze licking gently against her pale pink fur. What a lovely night. So peaceful and tranquil. It did however carry a scent that caught her attention, someone nearby who hadn't showed themself yet? An onlooker maybe?
She smiled impishly to herself and pretended not to notice as she added words to her gentle tune.

"Siiiiighing softly to the river comes the loving breeeeeze~ Setting nature all a-quiiiiiver, rustling through the treeeeees~"

Dalki was completely unaware of the fact that he had been caught out, as far as he knew she still hadn't seen or smelt him. He was a sneaking master - though he was still captivated by the song.

His heart skipped a beat as she began to add lyrics to the song, his eyes going wide as he listened. She must be a goddess, he decided to himself, sighing and finding himself swaying along with the rhythm of the song. He did take note that she, like him, had traits of more than one species. His parents, a cheetah and a leopard, had blended together to form his rather distinctive blend of the two.

Slender, but larger than a regular cheetah, he sometimes appeared gangly because of the mixing. He was fast though, gaining that from his mother.

She was like him, but then again, she was nothing like him. She was beautiful, graceful and damn she could sing. He was just a lowly messenger, only really good at his job because he was fast enough to race around the houses without loosing his breath. He was definitely not worthy of being in her presence, but he couldn't bring himself to slink away until the song had come to an end.

After her singing, she caught the swaying in her peripheral vision and smiled ever so slightly to herself. Well atleast her hidden audience member was enjoying themself! That was enough to make the small smile on her muzzle just beam away as she lifted a paw and giggled, seemingly to herself she assumed from their angle before clearing her throat.

Perhaps pretending not to notice this stranger was a little rude, especially if they were watching, maybe they'd have liked to talk? Clearing her throat she turned her head slightly and called out to the direction the scent had come from earlier.

"You don't need to hide you know, you can come out and talk to me!"

She'd hoped that she wasn't being pre-emptive, maybe this stranger had been just passing by and she would've been holding him up? That would've been the last thing she'd have wanted.

Dalki startled, eyes going wide, he froze in place as she called out to him. Oh god, he was spotted? He was spotted. He was not the master sneaker after all. He was horrible at sneaking, he should have run away when he got the chance, now he was going to have to stammer through some sort of conversation with a goddess. This was gonna be so awkward.

He slunk out from the shadows slowly, cautiously moving out, trying to look more graceful than he actually was because he was just so awkward about this all.

“Uhm, hi?” Smooth, Dalki. Smooth.

Taking in the sight of her voyeur for a moment or two, she assessed his size and just the look of him. He had the bulk of a leopard only a touch smaller. Possibly a mix like she was? The idea made her smile more so than she had been already and she stepped down from her rock to approach him.

Slowly ofcourse. She didn't want to startle the poor thing. He sounded a little shaken...looked it too.

"I hope I didn't disturb you?" It was more a question sure, but she really had no idea if he'd been listening, passing by, or was going to come by and tell her off for making a racket.
