Well. Princess Long Di had arrived. She was beginning to learn more about the structure and discipline it took to run the pride. There were rumors that the throne would go to her instead, because her brother was crippled. Still, Long Di didn't believe that should change the succession...but the decision was not up to her. So she was sent out to each house, to learn about the members who lived there, and to get a better scope of the size of Tianxia.

It was a bit overwhelming. A slight twinge of fear had enveloped her, and she didn't want anyone to know.

She accepted Lady Zhong Zhao's invitation to see the artisans and bards that the West boasted. With her guard right behind her, she began to exchange polite hellos and small offerings to her as she mingled around.

It has been a short time coming into the West House from his birth house in the South but it wasn't a difficult transition from seemingly scholarly studies and professions to the world that spoke to the inner artist in this area. It was like he was made for this house and it fit like a glove.

Of course it was still a process to get to know everyone by their names and professions as respectively there were many that were apart of the very fabric of West House. With that also came the the gatherings of a special guest among them, Princess Long Di and her protective guard that was like a great protector of the future of this pride.

The soft lavender eyes sought out to see for the princess lifting his head left and right while he walked simply because of his lack of attention to know the very ones that kept all of the houses together. It wasn't Zian Qi's fault, which was his name as he can be forgetful of his manners at times like now. Still looking for the princess Zian Qi bumped gently into a beautiful dark red lioness that had equally red eyes.....and a guard, clearly it was one with how protective his aura was, and gasped out.

Bowing his head just to be sure he looked up at the princess Long Di. "Forgive me my lady. I apologize for my accident. Welcome to the West House of Artisans, Bards and all that in my opinion are the children of making the pride and world more beautiful through art." The male smiled charmingly with a hint of innocence and hope that the princess would be receptive to his apology.

The Princess felt the hair along her neck bristle at being bumped into. She didn't much appreciate the unsolicited contact, though she tried to calm her nerves. He didn't mean it on purpose...and her guard was right behind her.

"Yes, well..." She wasn't sure how to respond to him, but the last thing she should do was create a fuss over a small accident. Bai Lan could tell her later how he felt on the situation, but he was there in case anything was needed.

"Thank you," she finally said, smoothing her own nerves over. "It is my first time here, though I have received gifts from the artisans sent to me." Small talk may be best, even if she didn't know much about anyone in this house, only the popular performer Gao Shanfeng and the royals of the house.

"What is your skill?" she asked, looking mildly interested.

Zian Qi stared at the princess and sighed deeply, with an inward growl of annoyance. What was he to expect from a princess? The royals were snubs really but to be face to face with her Zian had hoped she would be of more substance. Now he saw from her reaction, words and body language that she didn't speak with those beneath her. That would not do, in his mind, if she was going to someday rule over all. If it came to that of course.

"You are very welcome." Zian said stiffly and bowed again listening attentively. "I'm sure that the artisans have sent you lovely treasures to enjoy." He commented respectfully until the princess asked such a wonderful question that transformed the male immediately.

"My lady....I am a painter. Oh goodness how I love colors!" He gushed and turned slightly away. "I see color in everything and how they can go together in perfect harmony. I see patterns and pictures in where they can be rightfully positioned to pleasure everyone and anyone who looks upon them! While I've yet to make any notice about my work....I practice daily to learn how to mix colors and to use the right tools to paint!" Zian said with so much passion!

It's quite alright. I figured you were busy with real life and poked you a bit but didn't want to be annoying or anything rude. >>

The Princess rarely received gifts from the artisans, if only because many of the gifts sent to her didn't quite reach her. Her father didn't want her to feel too spoiled, so many of the gifts sent to the Central house were divided up between the servants. Perhaps it wasn't the best use of the gifts, but it kept those few who lived in the Central house content.

Long Di blinked as she suddenly unleashed...something on this artisan. She hadn't really expected anything other than him stating his profession and moving. Part of her felt rather...intrigued?

"A painter..." She blinked at him a few more times, unsure as to if she should ask more or just move on. She had obligations to fulfill, visiting the West House. Yes, part of them was talking to those who lived here, but...

"Are there...what colours do you usually use?" she asked, unable to help herself and her curiosity.

XD Alright, alright. I'll poke you then but gently!

Zian had to stop himself from his passion boiling through him. Blinking a few times he had to regain himself to remember that this was the princess of their great pride and that he had to control himself. But it was hard talking about painting! Now that she asked what colors he used the most he gushed all over again with seemingly sparkling stars in his eyes as he looked up epically.

"Your majesty I love the colors of royal and sapphire blues, the riches emerald greens, the fiery ruby reds, the sunniest yellows, the smoldering oranges, the cool purples and the white. I enjoy pairing off colors together to bring something out. Especially the rich tones of blues, golds and whites together. Now that is a lovely combination. Though for you, I would gives those colors to keep a cool and relaxing haven." He said with a smile then bowed his head. Zian sighed softly. "Forgive me, majesty. You must be busy and I'm taking advantage of your time while making a fool of myself. I apologize."

The princess almost wanted to laugh. She asked a question and he answered it too much! Well, clearly he couldn't decide on what colours he used most, it seemed like he used as much as he could. Narrowing it down helped, and it made her think a bit about the world around her. Cool and relaxing? Perhaps like the lake, she thought to herself.

"Ah. Forgiveness isn't necessary," she replied. "What is your name?" Her nam was known everywhere, but it was rare that she heard of anyone else's name when she was out visiting. Part of her was curious on his work, but the only way to follow up on an artist was to know their name!

Edit: I wanted to ask and/or comment whether that was the correct way to introduce the names. I wasn't sure and looked it up both on the pride information and on Google, >>

Smiling at the princess he nodded which made the rather smooth and tidy mane of his, in it's rare form for someone like him, to slip a few strands over his eyes. "With the greatest of honors, your majesty." Taking a deep respectful bow he had been practicing alone in his den whenever he got the chance and wasn't distracted by his passions. "I am Qi Zian. I insist you call me Zian, it'll make me feel less...I don't know constricted." He had hope that would be alright and lowered his ears slightly. Looking around he stepped to the side. "Would you like an escort, your majesty? I can answer more questions about painting if that is your desire."
