Personality:
Irissa is light hearted. She has a tendency to be kind, sweet, and very loving. She tries most of all to please others. She spent her childhood trying to please her family to get them to notice her, and now she continues to try and please others, all in hopes of being noticed.

Despite this, Irissa is also rather depressed most of the time, but only when she is alone. She seems to think that she will never measure up to what others want. This is most likely also her largest fear, yet she hides it from everyone.

History:
We all have a beginning. Irissa was no exception. She was born Into a herd of Kirins, as the daughter of the lead pair at that. Though she was the first, her brother received most of the attention, and was placed as the predecease of their father. Leaving Irissa slightly jealous, and with all her brother's training, she was also rather lonely. She was placed with a guardian from the herd. He was an old stallion, but one of the best, though by time she was an adult he had grown to old to guard her and so, she was placed with a new guardian, one closer to her age, but also quite skilled.

Irissa had a longing for a friend, and one night when a bright star filled the sky, she made a wish for a friend, someone she could spend time with, and no longer feel lonely. A few days later Irissa felt a call, something inside her pulled at her, telling her to head somewhere else. She could not explain it, and for a few days faugh it until the feeling became to strong to hold back.

Irissa finally went to her father, asking him if she could travel, leave the herd and explore, but he denied it. No daughter of his would mingle with common rift raft that were not of the Kirin blood. Irissa became upset, angry at her father and finally years of depression, anger and longing released and she released it on her father before turning and running, running for her life towards that pull.

She could hear the beat of hooves following her, but she did not stop. She kept running until finally she reached the end of their heard land. This was it, if they crossed this point there was no turning back. She finally stepped across it into the freedom of the world. She could feel the magic tingle that kept her home safe, hiding her herd from the world. She turned, looking back at what was to her a solid stone wall that was once a forest. She swallowed hard, wondering if they would pass, or give up the chase. After a few minutes of silence she decided she was alone and so, she turned and continued on her way.

Irissa had no adventure skills, having never left her home, and with no training she was completely lost. All she had was this pull, constantly pulling her forward, telling her where to go. After a few days of travel, she once more heard hooves, wondering if it was someone new, as she turned she was looking at the scornful face of her guard. Irissa felt her heart sink. Of all the ones to follow her, why her guard.

It took a long time to reach the new land, and even longer to reach the end of the call. It was cold, the mountain air thin. She was freezing, shaking, but there was a strange shape here, and a creature she had not seen before that walked on two legs. Behind this creature was a mare, but she had no scales, no horn. She was plain, but something inside Irissa made her feel safe. In time they both found out they wished upon a star, were they brought together for a reason?
