Guys! It is Christmas! Let's talk about our days and what we got! Here are the presents I've opened so far:

- The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell
- A book all about cider
- A Star Wars-themed ceramic mug (with a picture of Vader stating, "Join us or die.")
- A brand new purse!
- A box of Haikubes
- Lots and lots of candy
- A day by day calendar of Forgotten English

I will be updating as per what my family gave me - so far, I have only opened presents from Mea and my girlfriend. A very Merry Christmas to all of you! mrgreen

Back from my parents' place. Would've been a lot better if Mom and Dad both weren't recovering from a twenty-four hour bug, but still a good day! Here's some other stuff I snagged as gifts:

- A pair of adorable raccoon-patterned socks
- A Tintin year calendar
- More candy, small book and reading-themed pins, and small goodies
- A pin with three charms (the first letter of my name, a guitar, and a treble clef)
- A box of specialty Lindt chocolates
- A $15 iTunes card
- A $10 Starbucks card
- A beautiful navy blue blazer that fits perfectly
- A $100 check from my aunt

My girlfriend, sister, and I - as a group - got banned books-themed coasters, major city-themed coasters, tins for flour and sugar and tea, Alice in Tumblrland (it is a legit book), an enormous bag of pistachios, and special pens you use to write names on wine glasses for parties.

More importantly, however - and I have never done this before - this is what I gave to certain people:

- Two Neil Gaiman books, a macaroni and cheese cookbook, and a Doctor Who-themed salt and pepper shaker set for my sister (Mea).
- A purple and silver heart necklace, Damn You, Autocorrect!, and a TARDIS-themed tumbler for my girlfriend.
- A Carol King memoir for my mom.
- A stand to hold your glasses for my dad.
- A set of beer fact coasters for my brother.
- Two Starbucks cards ($10) for two different friends.
- A Legend of Zelda gift book for my friend Ellen (Saurciriel).
- Homemade fudge and baked goodies for both my family and coworkers

My girlfriend and I even dropped off a plate of homemade sweets for the local Starbucks workers as a Christmas gift. To me, I love getting stuff - I won't lie about that. But the biggest warm feeling I get is when someone I love or respect unwraps a gift from me, loves it, and becomes gleeful because of it. It's a fantastic thing to make someone happy.
