For the students who are transferring to Monster High a long distance from their families, the school has doomatories set up to grant you a comfortable unliving space while you are attending classes.
The Doomitory is split into two halves - a Boo's half and a Ghoul's half. Students are assigned 3 bodies to a room. If you have special circumstances, the Creature Faculty may consider a different housing stituation for you. Please speak to either Resident Assistant.
Ms. Sue Nami -head of the Ghoul's Doomitory
Mr. Verizhe (head of the Boo's Doomitory).
Frights out at 10 pm, except for nocturnal students attending night classes. We trust there will be no creeping around at all hours...

Ronan wasn't sure how to feel about dorm assignments. On one hand, it was at least someone he'd already met, but on the other... birdbrain. Well it could be worse he consoled himself, Dashner seemed nice enough, just a little... flighty.
"Sure you've got everything son?" His father's gruff tones dragged him from his musings and he nodded. "Pretty certain yes." "You don't have to do this, the new house has plenty of space" his mother protested and Ronan felt that stab of guilt. He knew she didn't want him to leave, how alone she'd be while his father was away on business but he knew he had to do this. For HIM.
"I know Mother. I will visit, I promise."
She seemed at least faintly placated by this, but continued. "If you need anything, we're just a phonecall away. Don't worry about time zones, if you need me, you call."
Again he nodded. "I know mother, I will. "
They pulled up outside the school, the massive building rising impressively into the grey morning sky. Ronan felt his stomach knot, fidgeting anxiously with his hat and chewing his lip nervously. Was he really so sure about all of this? Like his mother said, he could still back out. No, he told himself, he'd come this far, fought this hard, he was not about to bail out at the last minute just because he was scared.
"Well, here we are." His father looked up at the building and frowned a little. Ronan didn't know the man as well as he may have liked, but he knew he was just as unsure about this as his mother was. "Need help getting your stuff up to the dorms?" he asked, and Ronan shook his head.
"You have a flight to catch."
"We have a few more hours before we have to check in." His mother sounded hopeful and Ronan sighed, relenting.
"Sure, I could use the help with my bags." He smiled awkwardly at his parents, pulling his hat on over his messy blonde hair and climbing out of the small rental car. He didn't have much with him, he was used to packing his life into a handful of small bags. Even so, it still felt strange to see everything you owned bundled up in such a manner, he couldn't wait to get unpacked and start to settle into this new, hopefully much more stable life.
His phone buzzed and he frowned at the text. Dashner, already impatient he noted. He texted back, a faint smirk crossing his face. It felt good to already have someone he could tentatively count as a friend.
"On way up, parents insist on escorting me. See you soon."

Melody looked over her things quietly as Mandi stood leaning on her doorway, "We're gonna miss you, Melly," she sighed as she smiled sweetly. Melody crossed off her checklist of things she had brought to the dormitory. Music sheets? Check Lab equipment? Check Every guitar, bass, and clarinet she had owned? Triple check. Melody sighed as she unzipped her final bag to unpack, "I'll miss you too, Mandi." Mandi frowned as she heard the dreariness in Melody's voice, "Sweetie, what's wrong?" Melody sat down on her dark purple laced bed spread and looked at her feet, "Well, it's going to be odd not seeing you and David everyday.." Mandi sat down with Melody, a small smile upon her lips, "Sweetie, we'll always be here if you need us, we're only a call away." "I understand that...but it's just that...Demona isn't here as well.." Melody mumbled twiddling her thumbs. "Well, she's busy, she has her own life too, but right now you need to focus on yours," Mandi smiled, wrapping her arms around her step daughter, "Can you handle that?" Melody sighed, "Yes, ma'am." Mandi stood up and kissed Melody, she was almost out the door when she said, "Don't spend all your time in this dorm of yours, you have friends here too." She blew a final kiss and with that, she left, leaving Melody to twiddle her thumbs on the bed of the dormitory.

Felix stood in the doorway, looking into his doomitory he'd share with two other boys, "Well, at least it's two guys, not four," he smiled. He set his bags down on his bed as he picked up his soccer ball he'd taken from home, sure it was a drag not hanging with Dash everyday, but hey, new opportunities, right? He bounced the black and white colored ball on his head, making sure not to hit it on his horns. "One, two, three..." he started as he counted the number of times the ball hit his head.

Marceline wasn't exactly looking forward to doom life; she preferred to live alone, but that wasn't feasible anymore. As she hauled her luggage into her new place, her last conversation with Maman rang through her head.
"I'm sorry Marceline," Maman said. "but with business bein' what it is right now I just can't afford the rent on that place! Livin' in the dooms will be good for you! Help you get over that fangxiety!"
At least she'd be sharing a room with someone she knew and liked: Anne Arctica, who apparently hadn't arrived yet. She shrugged and claimed the bed furthest from the windows. Time to settle in, she thought as she booted up her laptop and turned on Fangora Radio. The station started with a Catty Noir song, on which she promptly hit claws-down... she never understood what the fuss was about that ghoul, but chalked it up to simply a difference in music tastes. As the station changed to a more appropriate song selection, Marceline began decorating her portion of the doomitory with her effects -- a pinboard full of Fangland snapshots here, bottles of herbs and tinctures here, a nice damask comforter for the bed -- while she waited for her roommate to arrive. She'd text, but she didn't want to seem pushy.

"... yeah Dad, I know." JD groaned into his Boo-tooth headset, rolling his eyes behind his sunglasses. He had tuned him out from the minute he hit "Accept Call" on his iCoffin, mostly because it was the same speech as it's always been: Son, you need to grow out of this partying phase! Son, when will you take your deaducation seriously? Son, don't you know how your actions reflect upon me? ...
"I know, Dad..." He sighed again, flashing a quick flirtatious smile at a dark-haired mermaid ghoul as he approached the doomitories. He glanced down again at the gorentaition letter in his hands, double-checking the room number as he dragged his bags inside. "Dad, I gotta go..." He protested, to no avail. He sighed and ended the call, ready to feign bad service if his father called back... which thankfully, he didn't.
Finding his room wasn't too difficult, and he found he was not alone. His roommate, a faun boy, had already settled in and was bouncing a soccer ball on his head.
"How's it goin' bro?" JD grinned as he chose a bed by the window. "I'm JD! What's your name?"

It was easier for Ascreama's father to carry all her bags and cases held within his mass than actually drag them around the corridors of the doomitories. The bags were heavy, filled to the brim with shoes and accessories, stationary and items to make the room feel a bit more like home. He took up the entire hallway with his massive body of clutter filled goop.
"I guess it's lucky I don't need clothes," Ascreama said with a sniffle as she trailed in front of her father. She shuffled to her assigned door, pulling a huge pile of pillows and bean-bags all roped together. She looked up at her father and opened her mouth to speak, but couldn't form the words. She'd argued enough about leaving the house, too afraid of what the 'unreal world' was like. "You know it's for your own good," He repeated for the hundredth time. She thought that it felt more like a punishment for something she hadn't done wrong. She couldn't help being so insecure! She opened her mouth to protest again but he pulled her into a smothering hug. "This will help you become more independent!" He said finally, pulling away. She realised how childish her actions were, but wanted to be selfish for a little longer. "Gooing up is hard.." She thought as she pushed open the door.
They entered and she offered a shy "Hello." to the young monster sat across the room. He gave Ascreama a final wobbly nod after oozing her belongings onto the floor. "I'm only a phone call away," and left the room.
Ascreama looked over to Melody as the door closed and her bottom lip wobbled. She sank onto the pile of pillows and burst into heavy sobs, pink goopy tears rolled down her cheeks.
