Chiaki felt his leg muscles tense, ready to jump back at a moments notice. The younger boy tilted his head a bit. Keeping his eyes on the other just as Trensk was doing to him. While he didn't mimic the other's all to steady poise however Chiaki didn't back away either. "It would be unfair I did." he stated, to further explain himself a bit without going into a lengthy statement over it. That and once more the half staying here would be without a vehicle. No fast get aways for them even. Besides, scouts weren't supposed to be heavily armed right? It'd slow them down and make their job of..well scouting harder to do. As his brows furrowed together with question at Trensk's behavior he doubted that as well. Seb was fast on his feet he knew that. So the fact that the mechanical rabbit would even slow them down was stupid, that little guy would probably be at the front of the pack even once they hit solid ground.

Finally after a nerve wracking moment the other backed away. Well more or less leaned against the counter again with a sigh. Chiaki felt himself relax a bit but he was still more or less confused over the other's reaction. Had he offended the X Soldier by his comment of leaving backup for the man? Or had the other withheld something he was going to say..
Whatever the case Chiaki didn't want any more fights. Those two up stairs had done enough as it was and getting into a shoving match would only make it worse. "I don't doubt you for a sec Trensk." he confirmed, dropping his arms for a moment before turning a weary eye on Mizuki. They'd be alright..right. With Trensk and Seb here they had the arsenal on their side at least. They also had the medic here as well if anything were to happen. Which Chiaki preferred not to think about for it only made him more anxious to get started. Run out into the night and come back before bad luck even had the inkling to strike. "OK..i'll go tell the other two about our plans then so they are aware." he said, deflated. Swiveling on his heel the twenty year old slipped out of the room. Walking into the living room with the full intent of finding Wendin and Kiori whom of which were rather..quite for being on the same general level..of the house that is. God for bid Kiori had found her temper was lost and had strangled Wendin or something. Chiaki chuckled at the thought of it, despite its morbid meaning. He could almost see Kioro throwing the scrawny kid to the ground and going fight club on him before Wendin was even truly aware of it. That...would be funny.

"Isn't it bed time for you two huh?" he stopped, waggling his index finger between both Seb and Sira. Not that bed time even existed anymore really. But to try and get them to catch as much sleep as they could however, yes. "You should catch some shut eye alright. You'll get Coon Eyes if you don't!" he teased, crouching down towards the two of them. Once he was at their level he reached out and dropped a hand on Sira's head as well as Seb's. "Don't want to get tired on the job now do we?" he finished, flicking his gaze between the two of the little ones before standing up to retreat. Continuing back towards his original destination Chiaki took the stairs at a leisurely pace. No point running them if he didn't have to he figured. Besides, he was down right beat. "God what I would give for a crap cup of coffee right now." he mused, sliding his hand along the railing as he climbed. How long had it been since he had even sniffed the aroma of the drink itself? To long that's for sure.."I'll take gas station coffee even..no complaints." he mumbled aloud, slowing his gait by a few more degrees once the floor boards of the upstairs level was in view.

Hoho...so there is where they went. Never thought i'd see the day...
Chiaki couldn't help but quirk his lips up in an amused expression once the layer of shock melted away. For not a good ten feet away sat the very two people he was looking for. Wendin, the cracked up survivor of this group was leaning against the wall. Head drooping so he was staring down at his feet while at least one hand was resting on Deer. The only visible part of the animal was her head which was resting on the boy's shin and a sliver of her back as she stayed contently curled up against the other. And Kiori? Well to his bit of disbelief she herself was curled up against the other teen. Knees drawn up and face tucked away out of sight. He shortly wondered who had initiated the act. Had it been Wendin or Kiori? Either way he couldn't of seen it coming out of the two considering how often he had frowned frustratingly at them for their banter. Whatever the case Wendin himself didn't took to happy right now at least. Having realized that someone was there the brown haired boy lifted his gaze and turned it towards the stares with probably a pre-prepared glare of hate. The younger gave him a questioning look that only brought about Chiaki's reaction. He wasn't going to pass up a once in a life time...ha life time, chance to tease Wendin about it now was he? Crossing his arms Chiaki leaned against the closest wall with a thump and smirked. Nodding his head silently towards the sleeping girl with a waggle of his brows. Even with no words spoken he had managed to out right embarrass if not annoy the nineteen year old. Face spreading into a frown and cheeks..tinting with pink really? Wendin released his light hold on the dog in favor of shooting Chiaki a rather obnoxious hand jester. The older full out grinned then. Biting back most of his laughter at the absolute look of annoyance on the kiddo's face. He'd tell them later about their plan of action. Would it be rude to wake them up in the morning telling them to throw on their back packs because hey! We're leaving the others behind for a scouting. Probably so, but they needed their rest and Chiaki wasn't going to take it from them. Waving his hand at the male he turned and made to leave. Maybe even Wendin could catch a few hours of sleep. It was un nerving to have that kid dragging himself around, always awake. The boy it seemed was never really able to sleep unless it involved a nap or two. He figured Wendin had insomnia or something on that level. Whatever the case may be it had been right to push the job of lookout on the kid. If Wendin wasn't going to risk tooth and nail out in the streets he could at least keep a watchful eye on the safe zone for them.

Returning down stairs once more Chiaki promptly propped on the couch wit ha huff. Sinking into the ratty cushions with a face of contempt. He had claimed this spot as his own when they arrived. So he was down stairs..ready to go. It was dangerous to be on the bottom level and he sometimes wondered if he would wake to a pair of weathered hands and bloody fingers in replacement of his own but, he also felt like it was just...his job even. Sighing the male lifted his arms and crossed them over his forehead to block out the room from his vision. This was going to be a big one..a lot of responsibility was resting on their shoulders during this trip. And they were going to have to try their best to complete it...or else they'd end up like so many others.

Wendin was almost a bit surprised. Almost he said..

How many different expressions she could go through in such a short time that is. "Yea..you do sometimes." he confirmed, voice light with amusement at the little shrugs and blink of curiosity. Knowing Kiori she probably didn't realize that she would repeat things. Say them over when she was explaining something to another because he assumed she was far to distracted. Worried about relaying her point and getting the receiving end to understand it the way she did. Wendin's father use to talk like that to. The man having a reputation over it infact for once you got him started it was hard to get him to stop. But people endured. The intensity and absolute sincerity from which filled the words blabbling out of his mouth like a squeaky faucet was enough to motivate someone into listening again. Wendin however thought that maybe his old man just had minor amnesia or something...it would make sense. But who was thinking over it now anyways..

Wendin tried to ignore the way she had looked at him like that. Lips frowning at the idea of having said something wrong. Eyes cast over with doubt while limbs fidgeting. He hadn't meant to react in such a way. His mental defense was strong. Hurtful insults and snide remarks would usually bounce off without any damage to the little being hiding inside. But today was different...
Maybe it was sleep deprivation here. People said that when someone was unable to sleep emotions ran high, overloaded. But for Wendin this was probably not the case considering he didn't sleep normally on a daily basis before all of this had occurred.
To many ducks had been lined up and shot today though. It had started with Wendin's nightmare. A brutal flash of memories reminding him of the good old days.
It escalated with Kiori coming up with the bright idea of leaving the house to go to the practically untouched one just across the way. As much as he would hate to admit Wendin had been worried over the ego maniac. Sure it felt good when she came back in a mess because he had been right. Yet, it was also relieving. That wasn't even the beginning however for then they argued and he lost his head for a second. "Mhmm...Deep as the ocean and I cant swim for jack." he told her, chuckling at the statement despite it being true. They were having regular conversation now even. Something off was lingering over their heads. It was awkward, that he was given a nickname that held no malice to it. Usually they snapped back and forth with degrading jabs such as his "Supergirl" title and her "Wendy". It was nice though so he couldn't complain...really. The climax of the day was defiantly this moment right here.

This bubbly feeling that was hammering in his gut from doing such a risky move. Wendin was a bit disappointed that she hadn't followed his assumptions by elbowing him in the ribs or kicking at his shins to prevent him from pulling his stunt. Adrenaline was erased and replaced with..warmth. He hadn't stopped until she was tucked by his side, to prevent her from backing out. Rejection, it was a petty yet heavy fear that plagued many minds. Why would he feel worried about her rejecting his advance though? It wasn't like he had such a favoring towards the girl. No, he didn't like her with a fondness..but it did make more sense to his own mind. That he felt worry over being downed in this game of cat and mouse that they had. Even though he wasn't playing anymore, trying to be serious for her. Or them at least, showing he was willing to help if not just a little bit. Twisting his face to the side so he was able to peek at the other he nodded. "I'll try..but I cant make any promises." he told her, settling down himself by leaning into the wall. Straightening his legs so hers could fit comfortably on them. The butterflies assaulting his being only intensified when she grabbed onto the hem of his holey shirt. Probably for purchase but that didn't stop him from sending a playful smirk her way. Lifting his brow in minor question before she nuzzled into his shoulder and out of sight. His first cuddling session...and it was with a girl he mildly tolerated. Wendin had never really been close to girls in such a manner when he was in school. Sure they were cute. The way that swatted their hands at each other or bounced in their pretty clothes. The smell of vanilla or citrus that would sometimes linger when they glided past. Or the wild way they would pounce on each other for the weirdest reasons. But they were just that...
Weird creatures that he was no good at talking to. Wendin wasn't anti-social. No he was a social butterfly! Like to talk to the different cliques and hang out with the geeks after school at the arcades. Or sit in the library with his college room mates looking at old funnies that were cut out of dusty newspapers. Girls were just a different class entirely. Strange and hard to read as well as handle. "Pretty sure huh?" he hummed out, feeling heavy now that they were all settled. Even the darn dog wanted to snuggle apparently. The female canine trotting over and circling herself until she was plopped down by Wendin's leg. Side by side Deer sighed, huffed out a breath as she lifted her head like it was a difficult task to drop it onto his shin. The teen rolled his eyes at the animals behavior but quickly turned away when Kiori mumbled something. He almost hadn't heard it, only thanks to the silence in the hall and her closeness to his neck did he catch the sleep hazed words. It made him frown...

Contradicting that now she had pointed how his willingness to help that he fell undeserving of it. "Don't mention it alright.." he answered in a hushed tone. Convinced she might of already fallen asleep. Which from the way her breathing steadied out, softened and adopted a rhythm he could assume she had. Good...she got wild when she was tired. The boy drifted his eyes down to his feet for a bit, content to think. Trying to sort out his plans now that he had made a commitment to Kiori..to the group. How was he supposed to slip away now? How was he supposed to throw it all away like a used candy wrapper when he was begging to cling to these people...

The questions temporarily went unanswered for a short ten or twelve minutes later Chiaki appeared. Pulling Wendin from his thoughts with a cocky grin. What? Did he have something to say to him to today or what. Wendin frowned, sending the older the ugliest glare he could muster to issue a challenge. While the other didn't say anything he sent a teasing facial expression that suggested far more then Wendin wanted to think about. So he chased the other off with a well deserving "Bird" and turned away. Leaning his head back so that he could stare at the ceiling before letting his eyes close. From here it was a hazy mixture of being awake and not as he tried to fall into the abyss. It was hard to though with Kiori breathing into his neck and the dog nuzzling his leg but finally...he was lulled to rest. Mind falling blank and head rolling to the side as his will to hold it up slipped. The last truly conscious thing he could remember was the way Kiori smelled of ash and work. Outside smell with a hint of..hint of well, Kiori smell...that's what he deemed her...The soft feeling of her hair pressed into his cheek even..like a fluffy down feathered pillow..

Trensk Mikakka

Trensk shook his head and sighed, rubbing his face as he stared straight ahead of him. At a wall, at Mizuki, he didn't know, nor care. He thought over the plan, and how everything was gunna happen. Escape plans for the girls and Seb, in case s**t went down, how the scout group was gonna live, everything. It was just natural for him, since he was a black ops officer. He had to plan, had to figure things out. Then again, he wasn't the boss anymore. Was he? He doubted that he would ever lead again. Sad but true.

He rolled his arms and rubbed his shoulder as he thought, wincing as his back and chest right around his newest wound cried out in protest. It was really getting annoying, and he wished his lung fixed itself soon, like the base doctor said. Really soon, or he'd start being a liability when they finally take the move up north. The elevation would increase, and the air would be thinner, and it would play hell on his lungs. It might create a big problem that would require him to maybe be left behind...and that wasn't an option for him. Not at all.

✄ - - - - - - - -| With everything going on, this felt normal. It felt right. Having someone to laugh with, to giggle and share 'secrets' with. Sure, he didn't talk, he couldn't, not really, but he did understand everything she told him. He comforted her. Hugged her when she was scared, when she didn't want to tell her sister. The robotic hand moved a strand of hair out of her face, gently moving it behind her ear. She smiled sweetly, this was normal. She loved him, not in the sense of a relationship love, but like a brother. He was special to her, he was a brother, more or less that was. He moved, laid back, which she happily joined in, his eyes turning black, then decorated with bright yellow specks. "Stars!" Sira said in a hushed voice, sitting up on her elbows, a hand out stretched to point. He nodded. Sira grinned and laid back down, eyes glancing all over the ceiling. She loved stars- the solar system- the planets. It was her favorite. "Can you put Pyxis? The constellation." she asked, her head turned to get a good look at the robot. He nodded, eyes shifting to gain the image, then showed it on the ceiling. She smiled more.

Sira was a smart girl, happy to learn anything about space, what it meant when a star twinkled. The names of stars and constellations, the black holes- everything. It was her favorite subject, the book that Mizuki brought showing just that. She could go on about stars, her favorite ones, the stories behind them, anything if you asked. Her thoughts shifted when Chiaki came into view, Seb turning off in favor of also looking at the older boy, "Aw but Chiaki!" she whinned out, sitting up. Seb's eyes flashed the same words at the same time, his shoulders moving in a sagging motion. Sira grinned and rolled he eyes playfully at him, only moving in favor of giving Chiaki a hug. Seb did the same, both giving him a hug before moving and running towards Mizuki. "Mizu, Chiaki says it's time for us to go to bed! We're gonna go lay down okay?" Mizuki glanced over and smiled, nodding. Her arms outstretched. Both Seb and Sira ran into her arms, getting a strong hug and a kiss to both. With a soft goodnight, the two were off and upstairs, saying one last goodnight to Chiaki, who passed them, before reaching their destination, "Ew." Sira muttered, looking at the two sleeping forms. Seb made a noise, a laugh almost, tugging the young girl into another room, and into bed.

The two snuggled into the bed, Seb wrapping her up in a secured hug, lulling her to bed with soft music. Sira loved this part of the day, sleeping. It was comforting. But she missed laying with Mizuki the most. But this will have to do for now.

With a sigh, Mizuki looked up at the ceiling. "Scouting ahead sounds very smart." she said lightly. The whole idea sounded great, well, more or less. She was worried, very worried. They were all still young, even Chiaki. She smiled when she saw Chiaki telling the two younglings to go to bed, it was nice to see, and even better when he treated Seb the same. It was hard, she knew, because he wasn't really human. A robot only. But he was human, it was scarey. He got sad, and hurt and offended and worried and nervous. He was human without being human! Mizuki smiled fondly, leaning on the table, eyes glancing at Trensk, "Tren, thank you. I could really use help here. And Seb will be more than willing to stay- He loved protecting Sira. Though, I must admit, he might be mopey. His mother is going out on a dangerous mission. But we just have to make sure he's alright." she sounded to mature for her own sake. She cared to much, to much about everyone but herself. She would risk her lives for others- those who weren't her family. People whom she had just met and came in contact with.

She sighed and stood up then, her eyes directed to Chiaki when he, though she didn't even notice him go up, came back downstairs. He was tired, but than again, who wasn't now-a-days? Mizuki slept in a chair next to Seb and Mizuki, Kiori, if she did, slept on a wall in the same room as her, Wendin took hold of the couch, which was a good place, just in case those nasty things came in. Of course they were all prepared, sleeping with weapons in case of an emergency, everyone in close distance. Trensk had his own room- Though that was obvious. He was the one whom fond this whole place- or helped. She didn't remember to much of that day. With a small sigh, she stood up silently, moving behind to push the chair back into it's place.

She silently padded upstairs, startled by the scene she was not expecting. The two teens sat, silently sleeping. Kiroi was leaning all her weight on him, Wendin with his head slightly tilted down, one hand on the dog that looked up at her before moving back to get comfortable. "Well," she whispered out, smiling softly. She shifted a bit, moving to a room, her hand wrapped around a blanket, soft and dust. The other hand smacked it a few times, making particles float up into the air and around her. Her hands swatted, letting out a small cough before she tugged the blanket up and out of the room. Gentle she laid it on the two teens, making sure they stayed worm at the night. With a sigh she moved into her own room, into her chair, with her legs tucked up to her chest and her swords held tightly in each hand like before. With that in mind, she fell asleep to the soft music as well.
