Ignazio had lain awake for a long time the previous night. Unable to sleep, he had simply watched the moon's slow progress across the velvety black sky until exhaustion overpowered his worries and he drifted off into a troubled slumber. An uneasy feeling had plagued him since he had tracked his sister into this section of the forest, there were strange symbols carved deep into the bark of the towering trees and at times it felt as though the forest itself watched him as he passed. He reasoned it could simply be the unfamiliar terrain, after all he had spent all of his life up until now wandering the hot dusty recesses of his desert homeland. If Kynreeve hadn't insisted on setting out on this asinine trip alone he would still be there, robbing the nomadic traders blind on a daily basis and enjoying the fervent attentions of his most recent conquests. But he would not, could not allow his sister to travel unescorted through the strange and potentially dangerous lands of the outsiders, even if he had to guard her from a distance.

Now, he groaned as he slowly blinked himself awake and began a clumsy attempt to erase the signs of his passage. The way through the forest was rugged, every step a battle as the dense undergrowth tugged at his hooves. He stumbled over ankle twisting roots and finally had to halt after an hours travel, panting with exhaustion. He couldn't understand why anyone would want to inhabit this dense growth, give him a nice flat stretch of sand any day. At least the food was plentiful, he was immediately able to start satisfying the gnawing feeling in his stomach, cropping away at the undergrowth indiscriminately, trying to ignore the way the way his nerves twitched as the random sounds of dripping trees toyed with his mind.

It had truly been a good foraging mission for the young drum maker. One of the mighty oaks that grew outside of the grove the Flock made its nests in had fallen during one of the autumn storms that had blown through, pulled up by the roots from its soggy and took several trees with it. She had discovered it in her hunt for smaller falls that would have happened over the winter that was now thawed and no longer threatening freezes, in hopes of finding some round wood that make good bases for her drums and get just the tone she wanted, but instead found a treasure trove of building materials, including some necessary for the huge tribal drums and ceremonial bowls, and branches that could be soaked in hot water to be made bendable for weaving into the strongest of nests.

Needless to say, such a blessing from the Great Mother spirit and the Spirit Maidens of the Forest and windsshouldn't be squandered, and was eager to return to the flock and report the location, her bag full of wood cutting and flint shaping tools slung over her front while leather balanced some logs she had hacked with a simple flint axe she had formed to bring some of the wood with her.

She shivered slightly at the morning chill, wishing she could have taken the log segments up into the trees and avoided the damp ground cover. It had rained a few days before and while there was no risk of frost or sudden snows, the spring Mornings were still slow to warm compared to the campfire warmed cave she lived in with her mother, siblings, close friends of the family, Sire, and the rest of their little 'clique's' harem or the firelit grounds of the artisan guild she spent most of her time in. Like many hippogryphs, the so-called Harpies of the flock were quite fond of the gift of fire given to them by the Mother-spirits of flint and pyrite, and Vaniania was no exception, wishing she was a fire-bearer entrusted with the gold-colored crystals. Smirking slightly, the pale mare mused, Damp last night would have been pleasant with a small campfi-

She froze suddenly on full alert as she spotted a swatch of red in the mottled light of the forest, eyes adjusting as she recognized it as an unfamiliar stallion -- didn't seem to be from one of the neighboring herds and was almost painfully close to the main territory, How did a stallion get that close unnoticed?

The mare carefully set down her collection and moved closer, unsure if she should just chase him away or perhaps try to capture him -- his wings looked useless for flight, but that wasn't necessarily a bad flaw -- if he could fly the trait could be given to mares, and if he couldn't, they wouldn't need to keep his wings descaled so they'd be useless for anything but decoration regardless.

Looking the stallion over, Vaniania smiled -- She never caught an outsider stallion before, only worked with trainer stallions, so it'd be a good bit of experience. And he seemed to have some fine red beads -- or were they bells? The golden star could be a bell at least. If she could at least get a string of the bells - or beads - or whatever they were, she'd have a little trophy and something pretty to add to her collection..

Moving slowly and stealthily for him, she paused as she realized how alert he was and instead hid her claws, deciding to go with perhaps a trickier approach than a head on pounce and interrogation. Giving a purr, she tilted her head to the side, "Hello handsome. Did your mate leave you all alone?"

Ignazio raised his eyes and found a rather exotic looking mare standing not ten feet away from him. He cursed silently, he hadn't heard the slightest hoof beat to announce her approach, she was clearly much more experienced at moving silently through these trees. He couldn't see how, there were noisy things strewed everywhere on the forest floor, he winced with every crunch and snap. He was a thief, accustomed to moving swiftly and quietly, his inability to do so now left him feeling a bit disconcerted. It was unsettling to lose a skill he had never paid much heed to before, it wasn't overly difficult to avoid making a sound when you were treading across sand after all, so he had to swallow a little flash of jealously at the mare's superior skill in this rough terrain.

But what was she? His green eyes squinted as he stared at her in confusion and disbelief, her long brown mane seemed made in part of feathers, and her decorations were unlike any he had ever seen in the outsider's lands, and her hooves.... Or rather lack of them, he stared at her clawed feet for so long he barely noticed that she had spoken.

But she was a mare, and mares he knew how to handle. A small smile played across his mouth as he laughed off his nervousness from earlier and gave a little bow of his head in greeting, holding her gaze as he did so. Some of her features may have seemed odd to him, but there was no denying her wild beauty. "I have no mate lady, I've never been the type fo stallion who enjoys being tied down, I'm more of a 'leaf blowing in the wind' sort of character, and most mares don't seem to appreciate my free spirit" He divulged mournfully assuming his most piteous expression, following with a bold wink and a crooked grin.

Normally, Ignazio would have played the devout suitor, especially towards a mare who peaked his interests so, but he was in a bit of a hurry. Kynreeve would be drawing farther away by the minute and he had to stay close on her trail or risk losing her. This was no time to loiter around romanticizing this alluring stranger and he figured the easiest way to curb any interest in further conversation was with simple honesty. His revelation had been the truth after all, the minute his paramours realized he had no intention of sticking around long enough to pursue anything serious they lost interest quickly enough, or he simply vanished without a trace for a few weeks to help them along.

Single. Promiscuous. Travels a lot. Loner. Perfect.

Vaniania practically purred, the upper crest of her mane perking slightly, causing her hair to shift and the delicate bells woven in to chime softly. She moved in closer, fluttering her thick lashes slightly as she swayed closer, moving with a delicate grace amongst the dense roots. "you poor fellow -- such mares must be foolish to not appreciate such a lifestyle as yours" she cocked her head to the side, her longer feathers draping across her shoulders as she swished her tail playfully to the side, smiling with a playful bit of mirth. "My 'sisters' and I however... We could use a handsome single stallion such as yourself in our lives, even if just for a little while."

Looking him over, and the somewhat sorry state he was in after his night, she cooed, lifting a claw out to delicately toy with a lock of his damp tail, "you look chilled to the bone. We could help dry you off.. Perhaps warm you up..?" Her eyebrows twitched upwards as she returned his wink "at least for a spell."

Ignazio was wary as he watched his companion, her elegant movements seemed somehow... Predatory, and he couldn't stop glancing at those long delicately curved claws as she slowly advanced. Involuntarily, his vibrant gaze swept over her pale form and back up to to her face, to her vivid blue eyes. When she batted those dark lashes at him he felt as though his heart had surely skipped a beat. "S-sisters?" he stammered, if she was toying with him, she certainly was a master at the game.

He gave a slight bow of his head as she spoke, ears flicking foreword to capture the clear tones of her voice. A single step and he was close enough to brush his nose lightly against her mane, feathers like ridged silk tickling his nostrils. He was taken aback by her forwardness, and for a moment a cautionary thought flickered through his mind making him want to bolt in the opposite direction, could he trust a mare who was so quick to invite a strange male back to her home? She didn't seem at all intimidated by his size and strength, that was odd... But she was right, he was cold and exhausted and tired of his lonely venture after the sister who was so willing to abandon their home. "Perhaps.... Perhaps that would be wise." Her beauty was intoxicating to him, and her brashness only piqued his curiosity, he had never met a female like her. "This terrain wearies me unlike anything I've experienced before." he admitted, If she lived in the area, she might be able to show him a path he could take to the edge of the forest, it would be easy enough to pick up Kynreeve's trail again once he was free of these blasted trees.

He pushed back the warning bells clamoring in his brain, he always felt some measure of panic whenever he felt drawn to a mare. This was probably only more of the same."It is kind of you to offer shelter to a stranger, I should introduce myself if we are to travel together, my name is Ignazio. I hail from the Debbani herd, in the deserts to the north." His deep voice was smooth and even, he would not reveal how breathless her proximity left him. "I'm just passing through, but I would welcome the chance to rest for a while if you and your sisters don't mind the burden of company." He would see how he felt after he had met the rest of her family, if he still felt uncomfortable, he would make his excuses and leave.

Vaniania tilted her head slightly to the side as she began to lead him deeper into Flock Territory, which just happened to be the direction he had been pressing himself deeper into, while keeping her playful sashay. Debbani herd didn't sound familiar, but her ancestors did come from the desert as well, at least on her paternal line, "And my name is Vaniania. I'm a musician and woodcarver. And Ignazio... It would be our honor to host for such a well traveled stallion" She tossed her long mane feathers over her shoulder as she tipped her head back to watch him, stepping delicately over the thick roots of the forest, "I'm unfamiliar with the Debbani herd... Though I am told there is a grand and sprawling Culture up in the northern Sands. My Great Grandsire, whom I've never met in person, hails from the deserts... A... Amachi?"

She knew of her grandfather Cabriole's last name, but it was such a vague, foreign concept that she cared little about, as it was from a world outside of her own and of little use, unlike the other skills and knowledge Cabriole had brought with him, as his family's wealth had little to do with the flock beyond the wealth of knowledge from Cabriole's teaching. Her grandfather barely used his surname anymore, so it had been a while since she had heard it. However, now it proved it could be useful -- her family there was supposedly well known, well liked, and well traveled, being traders with ties with various different herds within the desert and would often accept those from 'lesser' herds, and wealthy on top of it all. Perhaps if Ignazio knew of the name, it could help him trust her generosity (or, if he was of a greedy sort, the draw of access to such implied riches within grabbing reach), which was ernest: No non-evil-hearted stallion should be left to the evils of the outter world, and should be protected within the flock where it was better for them.

And, for a stallion who enjoys many a mare, it could indeed be a paradise.

"But we really should get you somewhere where we can dry you off, warm you up. What brings a stallion from the dry, hot desert to this damp, cold place?"

Despite himself, a rosy colored blush mantled his cheeks at her words. He was no soft hearted youngster to be thrown off by feminine wiles but Ignazio's heart was pounding in his throat and it required conscious effort effort to remember to breathe. Inhale, exhale he repeated silently to himself, choosing to remain quiet for a few moments as he followed in her wake, worrying that his voice would emerge in a breathless tone.

He nodded at her words, then, cursing his brainlessness, she was in front of him for gods' sake, cleared his throat, "I've heard of the clan, traders and merchants for the most part... Or so I've heard" He decided to leave off that he had done his very best to rob the lot of them blind throughout his younger years. He wasn't sure Vaniania would be one to judge, but most soquili didn't respond well to thieves, even ones who were honest about their profession. He didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable about bringing him back to her home. Ignazio certainly didn't plan on stealing anything from her. There was no lack of food in these forests, one of the only good things about this alien climate, as far as the homesick stallion was concerned.

Her words reminded him of his discomfort, he shivered, "That would be wonderful." he replied gratefully, "My sister, Kynreeve, I'm on her trail." He realized how foolish that sounded and blushed again, "I've always looked after her, one day she simply told me she was leaving the desert and would not be returning, I was not to ask questions, or follow. As if I could stop myself, not when she may be in danger. She's no more familiar with the lands outside the desert than I am after all." His hurt at Kynreeve's seemingly thoughtless dismissal of her brother and family were clear in his voice, he knew it but couldn't seem to control it.

User Image"oh, oh my" Vaniania turned her head to the side to look back at the young stallion. To her it seemed silly for a male to worry so much about a mare being able to take care of herself, but anyone in an unfamiliar environment could easily stumble into a poisonous plant or a skinwalker, so there was reason for some concern, especially since she didn't know just how young his sister was, "We'll have to make sure once we get to one of our camps let a scout know about your sister -- we could see if we could invite her to join us as well for warmth. It can get rather cold when one gets damp. We have enough that finding her should be easy if you can describe what she looks like other than "damp and out of place'"

They weren't too far from the closest campsite, so she slowed slightly to let him get a touch closer to him, as well as give him time to give a description. She knew he'd likely feel hurt, at first, when he discovered he wasn't going to be allowed to leave (at least easily), but she wanted him to feel comfortable and was happy and safe, "And we could always ask around to see if she's with the herd. I've been out collecting materials.. I'm afraid I left them behind since I'm..." She lifted a clawed foot up sheepishly, wiggling her claws, "I'm intimidating enough not hauling logs. And I can tell them where to find it and the fallen tree for collection -- it's beautiful and would create fantastic instruments, structures, and artwork once crafted.."

Faithofthefallen
Haha, with that backstory of him trying to rob them blind, perhaps a young Ignazio and Fallo Amachi should have an encounter. I was planning on getting a Bison for the herd who acts as a body guard so it'd be sort of interesting since Fallo's the sort who, if a young 'streetrat' stole from him and a caravan guard brought them to him, would likely try and find out WHY they steal.. And possibly try and help coax them from that field over time but if its something like hunger or sick family he'd make it.. Easier to 'steal' what they need most from him.

Ignazio brightened at her words, the more eyes out there looking for Kynreeve, the better. Certainly the stallions that guarded her home would be much more familiar with this terrain than he, if they could bring his sister to him, so much the better, it would save him days of stumbling around clumsily through all this wet foliage and damp soil trying to pick up her trail again. Ignazio had a suspicion Kynreeve knew she would be followed, she seemed to be taking great pains to walk over every rocky patch and through every stream possible. The stallion prided himself in his ability to follow a trail, but again, his unfamiliarity with the forest was turning into a handicap he was hard put to overcome.

"I can describe her perfectly," he assured her. His sister would not be hard to pick out it an crowd, many were frightened by what they saw as oddities and mutations in her features, but to Ignazio, she was beautiful and unique. "Her coat is black, her hair dark brown and shoulder length. Her eyes, horn, and hooves are all dark red and the back two are laid bare to the bone,"

"I suppose it is possible..." He murmured doubtfully, "She tends to keep to herself though, I think she would avoid large crowds. I got the feeling she was trying to reach some place in a hurry, and undetected." He glanced down at her claws and smiled, nodding with understanding, "I could come back out with you later," He offered, feeling guilty that she was leaving her materials behind to help him, "You've been very kind, truly, it is the least I could do." He flitted his wings a couple times, the glowing eyes seeming to wink with the sudden movement, "Many find me intimidating upon first sight as well," he confided with an easy grin, "I've learned throughout my life it is best to not judge books by their covers, you miss meetings ome of the most interesting characters that way."

"Do you play any instruments?" He asked, fascinated, Ignazio hadn't had many encounters with musicians but he did enjoy music when he heard it.

That would be fun xD. I haven't had much of an opportunity to rp Ignazio back when he was a thief so it'd be a good opportunity for me to learn more about him <3

Listening to the description of his sister, Vaniana let her mind wander slightly: Hooves laid bare to the bone -- an accident healed by magic, or was his sister spirit touched like he was? However such a striking mare would be easy enough to spot discover if she was within their territory -- a unicorn mare with such unique features would likely be in a report somewhere. But she recorded it in her mind, trying to memorize the features. She never saw the mare in her exploration for freshly, naturally fallen trees but someone else must have.

"Then I suppose a smaller party would have to be who'd take her in if she doesn't like large crowds. We have plenty of camp grounds with small parties that stay there for our scouts and give them a place to sleep and a spot to go to for warm food or a healer's touch. A bit of company and entertainment without the main workings of The Flock.. Our herd.." In her mind she thought of one of the small camps -- a roof made out of Non-Spirit touched buffalo or Wild Boar leather, stretched out and tied up to trees to provide a dry shelter, a warm fire with roasting meats and vegetables, hot teas served to warm the body from the inside out. Fresh roots berries and greens alongside wild game, locally collected just that day. While it wasn't as comfortable as home proper, she found the outter camps charming and rustic, and a good comfort after a long time in the 'uncivilized' wilds outside of the land outside of the flock, where Soquili lived like wild animals, at least from what she was told and had experienced.

She swept her feathers over her shoulder once more to look over Ignazio. then lifted a claw to knock on the trunk of a tree, letting him move up beside her, "percussion, mostly. I make and play drums and various other percussion instruments. One of my favorite are 'tongue drums', made completely out of wood. I put caps on my claws and play them by tapping my claws against them. Perhaps I can show you once we settle down."

She cocked her head a bit as she heard a whistling cry, and she tilted her head back, responding in kind to the response, perking up slightly -- Kamunyak was nearby! The small mare wasn't exactly very good at capturing stallions, but she was at the camp. A few more whistles and another familiar voice chimed in. Vaniania's eyes glittered slightly -- so her sister Vanmoriel returned from harvesting seeds for dye plants and was at the same camp. She smiled charmingly back at Ignazio, "you're in for a treat -- one of my two Basket sibling's where we're going."

"She's an artist. Snowy white coat with dark blue markings and hair.. Oh and her feathers are such a beautiful bright blue. She's going to just love meeting you. After all," She gave Ignazio a bit of a wink, brushing up against him seductively with a little playful smirk of her own, leaning in to give him a purring murmer into his ear, "She absolutely adores Flutter stallions."

I'm sorry for how long it takes for me to write these out. @_@ its been just one thing after the other lately yeesh.

Also I heard that you were planning things for after these two have their breeding from Roni: Would you like me to purchase their breeding this month and continue their rps leading up to it so you can work on the after plots/Free Ignazio up for his post-flock visitations with the ladies?

Ignazio was somewhat surprised that Vaniania seemed so nonplussed by the description of his sister. Most were nervous if not outright terrified at the sight of her mutations, often unfairly so. He quirked one brow slightly but said nothing, he found himself relaxing in the face of her nonjudgmental attitude, although perhaps she was used to the same treatment and therefore tried to avoid it. Although her claws had certainly given him a start they seemed both beautiful and useful, his stares had been fueled by surprise and curiosity rather than fear or disgust.

His hopes raised that perhaps he would find Kynreeve with her tribe after all, he smiled at her warmly. As Ignazio grew more comfortable with their conversation, he found himself abandoning his philandering facade. Not that he didn't find her appealing in more ways than one but it was a defensive attitude that required some conscious effort on his part and as his mind drifted, he unconsciously lapsed into a more genuine demeanor.

The flock... Something about the name stirred the barest shadows of memory, but they were too vague for him to piece together. At any rate, their name for themselves seemed quite fitting if the rest looked anything like Vaniania. As she stopped to demonstrate her playing on a tree trunk, he closed the distance between them and felt a little giddy at her nearness and at the same time awed at the ingenuity of what she was explaining. "I've never heard of such a thing, I would love to see how its done!"

A distant call made his ears perk and sent a tingle of nervousness fizzing down his spine, his companion's response made him start. He swung his head around to fix her with his widened gaze. Something seemed off, an unfathomable look crossed her features and disappeared before he had a chance to identify it and was replaced with a smile so heart wrenchingly tempting he felt as though his knees had turned to water.

"She sounds lovely," Ignazio responded weakly as he felt her brush against his side... On accident? The stallion stood still as a statue, his eyes fixed ahead in shock as he felt her breath against his ear. Something inside wanted him to run, but his resistance melted at her wink. He always felt a bit panicky around females, thus the cocksure attitude, perhaps this was just more of the same. Ignazio swallowed hard past the lump in his throat, "Can't wait to meet her.

Oh its no problem at all!!! Been so busy lately, and I'm sure you are as well! FR keeps me pretty entertained too n_n; I certainly can't say that I wouldn't love that, I'm not antsy or impatient about waiting but new babies are always fun and it'd be pretty amazing to see them so soon o-o. I've been excited from the start to see what theirs will look like!!

Smiling, Vaniania fell silent and continued to lead him deeper into the flock.

As they drew close enough to the camp, the wind shifting to waft the warm scent of roasted meats and vegetables faintly towards them, a stirring started in her chest as she silently debated with herself -- she'd never captured a stallion before, and she knew that he had been heading into the heart of the Flock, and was deep enough in that he'd have gotten caught before they could leave the range of allowable capture, and as Flock mare it was her duty to capture and bring him in for the good of them all, and it really was in his best interest. However he truly loved and worried for his sister, and if she refused to join the Flock, Ignazio would live a miserable life worried sick for her.

Her pace slowed before she stopped completely once more, turning to Ignazio, "There... There are a few things I haven't told you, and I want you to listen to me closely: Don't fret since you're not in any danger and never were.."

She moved quickly to his side so she could talk to him in a quiet hushed tone "I'm going to claim I captured you: You were heading into our territory and there was no way even if I sent you away you'd have likely gotten far too cold in tonights freeze, and it was in your best interest I bring you in and if we had been seen with me letting you go without an attempt to bring you in we'd both get in trouble with the guards and you'd have been left with an unfortunate opinion of us rather than giving a fair judging.. Until we get word of your sister or too much time has past without word, you will be protected, well fed, and warm, able to spend time with any mare willing to spend the night with you, but you are my 'pet' for the time being so no other can claim you as their own." She lifted her head, looking around and glancing into the trees, "Afterwards I will give you supplies and bring you to the boarder closest to your sister. At which point I will que you to sneak in the given direction for a bit and then run. I will give chase, and you will 'escape' richer than you were when you came with proper warmth, food, and an idea of how to find your sibling.."

"If your sister joins us when found, you two can be together safely and live a life of luxury as long as you desire it.. If she doesnt, when you find her and assured her safety, should you wish to rejoin us you'll have to wait at least two cycles of the season before you'd be allowed to enter again." She smiled hopefully at him, "Everything will be great, you'll see. I just... I didn't want you to think I honestly tricked you, since everything I said is true: I want to help you find your sister, and make sure you're both safe and happy. But some mares are more traditional and I didn't want you to try and run, since I'd be required to give chase and bring you in, and you'd have gotten yourself lost and been unable to find your sister. And you'd be seen as a flight risk and kept under heavy guard until you settled."

Gently she leaned in to give him a light kiss on his cheek, nosing some of his bangs away to do so, "You're going to have to trust me. I'm going to get you and Kynreeve back together in the best of my abilities, and keep you safe. You'll have eyes looking out for signs of your sister, scouts listening for news of her. We'll get you on the right track."

Ignazio's mouth felt dry and the hairs were standing up at the back of his neck as though he was being watched, still he followed the mare deeper through the woods towards her home. His gaze darted around and then fixed again on her swaying form as she led him on.

Before long, Vaniania slowed to a standstill again and faced him. She seemed on edge, which did nothing to calm his own fluttering nerves but she also seemed to have dropped the seductive temptress attitude in favor of something more direct. Danger...? Ignazio quirked one arched brow but kept his mouth shut. Something strange was going on here and he wasn't about to interrupt the explanation, no matter how unlikely it seemed that he would be overpowered by a lone mare. Then again... He glanced down at her claws beneath lowered lashes, perhaps he was being too cocksure again.

Abruptly she was beside him once more, her breath stirring his mane as she whispered to him. The longer she spoke the more his confusion and consternation grew. He was disturbed and upset that it seemed he had been following her into a trap the entire time, but the fact that she had come clean to him before her trap was sprung soothed him some.

He swallowed a few times, staring at her at a loss for words as his mind raced through his options. Make a break for it? If she was telling the truth he wouldn't make it far and then all hopes of escape would be dashed. She would catch him, she was faster and more familiar with this area and for all he knew he would simply be running deeper into flock territory, to be captured by one of the less friendly mares. Not to mention, to have any hope of escaping Vaniania, he would have had to incapacitate her. Ignazio was simply not willing to do that, it had nothing to do with her gender, he sensed a genuine goodness in her and couldn't bring himself to even truly consider such a terrible notion. In less than a second he realized his only option. She was offering him a padded prison with the promise of freedom later on. He didn't know if it was a ruse to gain his good behavior but somehow he thought not. He had no real evidence of her credibility but she was convincing and he found himself believing her. Her kiss was a glowing spot on the stallion's face, his eyes met hers with perhaps less warmth and helpless adoration than before he knew the truth but with more appreciation and respect for her character. He nodded his acquiescence, a quick jerk of his head, and scanned the forest around them with eyes charged with wariness. "I will submit under those terms," he promised, "What happens now?"

Vaniania let out a soft sigh of relief, glad he understood well enough to not flee, "Same as what was going to happen: I take you to the camp, we ask around and send word out about your sister. You enjoy the comforts, get looked over to make sure you're healthy and insure you get what you need, and then if no word comes or word comes and your sister does not come with it, you'll leave. You were heading straight for the heart of the Flock."

She smiled softly, lowering her eyes with a sort of sadness, "I... Well I've never captured a stallion before, and you honestly care about your sister and seem worried about her. I didn't want you to feel betrayed and act out, and ending up in a position where you couldn't get the help... I.." The mare bit her bottom lip, ears twitching downwards slightly as well, before smiling a bit, her voice soft, "I didn't want you to get the wrong idea about how we are. So many outsiders mistake us for the Northspring flock, lumping us in with them because fear drives so many of those who escape before giving us a chance, assuming death and suffering awaits them. You're such a nice caring brother to your sister.. I just didn't want you to hate me and assume I lied. Nothing I said was false."

Her eyes met his dead on, then tilted her head flirtatiously, "You're going to enjoy yourself, regain some strength, get some training in what is safe to eat and what is poisonous... And be with your sister once more. As well as have any mare that will have you: which includes me, and would likely be more mares than you might think -- From what I know many nice mares outside of the flock are fearful of those who are touched by spirit traits of a less friendly looking nature, but in the flock we welcome them, and find them... Exotic." She circled around him once, rubbing her shoulder lightly against him before nibbling right behind his ear, "Come -- lets get you some food and introduce you to the guard so they know you're 'claimed' and I don't require assistance."

So he was her first capture? Ignazio was amused to find himself feeling flattered at the revelation. The lifestyle she was offering was tempting. He knew many males would be thrilled to find themselves in his situation, all the comforts he could ask for and all he had to give up in return was his freedom. It was almost worth it, almost. He wasn't sure he would have the strength to leave again if he wasn't so concerned for his sister, he would put her safety and well being before his own needs and desires every time. That she wanted him to leave her be was inconsequential, his love for her was not contingent on her feelings for him. He would make sure she was safe, wherever she was going, and then he would let her have her privacy. Ignazio saw genuine concern in Vaniania's eyes, he was touched that she was so willing to help him, he wondered what was in it for her. He had so rarely met anyone willing to selflessly help others that he couldn't help but feel somewhat wary of her kindness, still, he once again found himself believing in the truth of her good intentions.

"I truly appreciate that Vaniania." His silky voice was sincere as he regarded her with vibrant green eyes. "I believe that you are trying to help me, gods only know why, but I trust you. I will follow your lead in this."

Females were quite possibly the most complicated creatures on earth, Ignazio decided with an inward sigh as the mare once again set his heart pounding with her refreshingly foreword attitude towards the art of flirting. She had him off balance in more ways than one and she wasn't even trying, his ears burned helplessly at the overt offer of her companionship but his eyes sharpened with interest as she circled him. He reminded himself he was no unseasoned youngster to be so easily beguiled, but he nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt her teeth n** at him. Ignazio supposed there was no shame in allowing himself to be caught up in her spell.

At her words he remembered the others approaching, his wings flared defensively as he swept the area with his gaze. He couldn't see them yet, but he could sense their proximity. "Very well," he agreed after a moments hesitation. He wasn't quite looking foreword to playing the cooperative pet, even for her, but he was sensible enough to realize that letting foolish pride guide him would only put him in a more difficult situation. "Should I act... captured?" For a moment he affected a limp and tossed her a roguish grin, an attempt at lightheartedness to diffuse his nerves.
