Since her adulthood, the young lioness had finally come into her own. Even if she still thought of her grandmother's death, Siochana had a new life to focus on, training other Lions how to fight. She'd become a wiry creature, all muscle and tone. She was still recovering from her spell of not eating as an adol, however, leaving her a bit on the thinner side. Her prowess, however, showed in her scars. The granddaughter of the great Hakuna was proud and strong...and tonight, she wandered, allowing herself to relax, and breathe. It was a beautiful night out, after all.

Bored again. Heltyr would have groaned, but she was well past that state of displeasure. There simply wasn't anything to do when she was off-duty. Maybe a little practice of some kind could take her mind off of just how dull she was finding life to be. With that thought in mind, the dark lioness leapt into the air and came down on a shadow stretched over the ground, proceeding to shadow-fight with an invisible enemy. Juvenile though the behavior was, it gave her something to do and let her practice her fighting, as well.

Once she'd spotted the other lioness, Sio had almost immediately headded in that direction, curious to see what was going on. Her head turned to the side, and she studied the form of the other lioness, curiously. Her form could use some work. She was weak on her left side..."You need to watch your left..." Came her voice, raising just loud enough that the lioness who looked a bit younger than she was. "You are leaving it wide open." She was just trying to be helpful...After all, she was a Sinta'hare.

Caught in the act! Heltyr dropped to all fours in a stand still, surveying her unexpected spectator cautiously. This wasn't someone she knew, really, and the unexpectedly helpful offer screamed Sparda-side, but.... well, advice was advice. And she was weak to her left, she knew she was. A bad habit from her cubhood, when she spent more time with her sister than apart. Bobbing her head briefly in greeting, she flashed a slightly-toothy smile at the other lioness. "I suppose I am," she said, twitching her tail lightly from side to side. "What would you do, were you to deal with such an error?"

Standing to her paws, Siochana moved over to Heltyr, gently moving the younger's stance, her paws pushing each to where it should be, before stepping back, "When you move, you need to ensure that you're aware of all of your surroudings. If you're not, a challenger could sneak behind you, and get the best of you in a fight. Ensure that your stance remains strong, and you cover any openings when you aim a blow." For an example, Sio swiped forwards, claws sheathed, and batted Heltyr on the chest, crouching slightly to keep her chest covered, before darting out of the way, on a body light, trained from cubhood.

"I see," Heltyr said, and did her best to mimic the motion. Sparda-side may be soft, but she wasn't going to be so foolish as to turn down combat advice when it was offered. After all, a death due to foolish mistakes was hardly appropriate, and the better she could fight, the more of an asset she could be for the pride. "There's no point in making things easy for an opponent, after all."

Siochana could see the girl's reluctance to listen to her kind. She was obviously a daughter of Sparda, after all, and those mismatched eyes carefully studied Heltyr, "...Now look. If you keep running to the side like that, you're goint to make it easy for someone to get under you. Keep yourself CENTERED, and lower to the ground. It will improve your stance, and your hold. Try to knock me aside."

Nodding, Heltyr attempted the motion again, this time crouching lower and trying to maintain a better sense of balance. It was almost fun to try and attack the other lioness, even without the promise of bloodshed. She already noticed some improvement in her ability to move and watch what was happening around her - more specifically, her opponent.

As Heltyr made the swipe, Siochana moved around her with a twist that was complex, dodging the femme's moves with ease, a smile on her maw, "Much better. When you're shadow-sparring, keep in mind the way a real opponent might move. Strategy is your best friend. My name is Siochana, daughter of Tulivu and Aisling. It is a pleasure to meet someone who takes to this so naturally."

Ah, - she'd missed. Heltyr had somewhat hoped to be able to land a blow on the other lioness, despite her obviously-extensive training. She hadn't, however, but there was no shame in it really - after all, she was still learning, and could put what she had learned to use in more... interesting... ways in the future. And the advice was sound. Shadow-sparring would only do her so much good if she couldn't learn how to read and react to a real opponent. "I am Heltyr, daughter of Si’xx and Jininajisi. Your instruction was... appreciated. It seems combat skill knows no boundaries." Which...was about as close to a compliment as she was going to give to someone of Sparda.

Siochana chuckled softly, and bowed her head, "Thank you, Heltyr, daughter of Si'xx. It is true that wisdom of fighting spans many, in and out of Pride. I am honored to recieve such a compliment." She sat slowly down, letting her tail curl around her paws as she watched the other, "Should you ever wish instruction again, Heltyr, maybe our paths will cross again."

Heltyr bobbed her head again, pleased that this encounter had actually gone somewhat well - and surprised that not only had she found a Sparda-side member that she could tolerate, but also received some useful instruction from her. Who knew such things were even possible? It certainly seemed that she had found an answer for her persistent boredom, at least for one night. "Perhaps they shall," she said simply, taking this as a sign that their impromptu meeting was over. As she walked away, the dark-furred lioness realized that she had quite a bit to think about now.
