There were so many lions wandering around at this point that Moth found himself diving back into the sand to avoid being seen. A grassy ledge hanging above a soft bed of sand made a perfect place for him to hide. There the bright stocking'd lion crouched, hopefully out of sight, to fret over his every worsening appearance.
"Oh this is ridiculous. Am I missing something?" He said to the air as he took a peek over the ledge. He noticed males and females alike dotting the landscape, many in small groups and immersed in private conversations of some kind. He also spotted another group of lions that he couldn't quite place. Maybe they were a ship that had newly returned from an outing. Oh, that would explain why everyone would be out, too! Perhaps they were important lions, or had found a particularly nice treasure.
Huh, if that was the case, wouldn't he have heard something about by now? His imagination could just be running wild again. Damn fruit... Though it wouldn't hurt to ask someone, he supposed. There were sure enough faces about that he could talk to!
Oh yeah, he had meant to walk to the Caverns as well. Moth got to his paws and shook himself off as best as he could. He still wasn't happy about his appearance, but there were other things on his mind now.

Nefarian wandered. He told the viking pirate that he was going to go to the cavern, yet... Not yet. Something seemed wrong, though he had no idea of what and he felt plagued by unease. The voice was strangely silent and he found himself wishing, yet again, that the En Gedi lands had been taken and that he was ruling there, in the stead of his own father, but wishing for things that had passed was little to no help.
His inky black ears swiveled and his head turned as a familiar scent caught his nose. The male that had him join in the first place was out and about. He'd not seen him much, not with Blackbeard having a slew of cublets to care for, but he was there now and a devilish grin slid across Nefarian's maw. He altered his own course to collide with the formidable lion, one of the very, very, very few mortal lions he held any sort of respect for. The scent of cubs caused a stirring in him, a want to have his own offspring, even if he had no desire to actually care for them. Memory of a certain, blue lioness also came to him as his mind wandered and he couldn't help but to wonder... But now was not the time for that.
"Greetings, Blackbeard."

Dear gods, my apologies. Life happened. And it's going to happen again tomorrow and Friday, but I hope I can get this back on track after that.
In the meantime!
exclaim Stormborn exclaim The viking intruders have, for the most part, managed to act or bluff their way past any lion who might suspect them of not belonging, with a few exceptions. Be wary, Stormborn, of Tamu and Teech.
Ru has flopped onto the sand and beckoned his band close, hissing at them to act concerned or surprised by his "fall." Once they've gathered around he informs them that at this point they have a choice of directions they can take. They can either continue along the shore or they can head inland.
Have your character say something along the lines of "let's get you home," if you want to head inland. Otherwise have them laugh like Ru's said something stupid to continue along the shore a bit longer.
exclaim Pirates exclaim Do another check with 1d6 following the same guidelines as before to see how your character reacts to this cluster of lions on the beach.
If your character has already noticed them with a roll of 5 or 6, you might want to consider heading over to check things out. Or not. If it seems like something your character might do, roll 1d4 and if the number is odd the character will investigate. Otherwise they won't.

Teech, better known in the lands as Blackbeard, was growing more than suspicious, the closer he got. The crowd of lions around the beach wasn't abnormal. But he knew most of the pride, and being the Pirate King's son, his was familiar with most everyone. Not that he really mingled with them, but he had seen most of them around.
The closer he stepped, the more he realized these were all strangers. He arched an eyebrow, wondering if that might be where Joya was waiting for him. If anything, this was worth investigating, just to check on her.
"Avast!" He called out, red eyes looking at the group that were conversing and laughing on the beach.
"I've never seen the likes of you b'fore." He said. "Tell me your names." He demanded. He was a big male, and he had a lot of muscle to back up his words if he should need to.
"Now."

"Go back to your den, Flou."
Tamu's voice was more authoritative than the cub was used to, which startled her in to being rather dimur. The spotty cub's maw hung open in protest, but she said nothing.
"Now. We'll hunt for treasure later, but this is important. Be quick about it and don't talk to no one, okay?" He shooed Catfish's bold daughter away, in the direction of the dens. He moved in the other direction, heading nearer to Teech, who obviously had the same suspicions as himself.
"Ya'll don't act like no pirates I e're seen 'round here." He voiced, finally, a bit of a tremble to his words, although he did his best to seem big and brave. If they were gonna fight, he'd fight as hard as he could, albeit he was still only a youngster.
Nefarian's words fell on deaf ears as Teech moved away to confront the lot on the beach. Odd. Then again, he didn't know all the lions in the pride, but they didn't seem to be doing anything particularly unusual. For a moment, he entertained the notion of following the male... But he decided to wait and see what happened, first. He'd be down shortly.

(Double roll moment! The first is for Pili, the other is for Munyu trying to bluff his way past Teech *Edit* Horribly done, Munyu lol )
"Nah, lass, they poked me in the eyes and ran off with their weird sea turtle. Never saw 'em again..." He licked his lips, then looked over to the lions on the beach. Well, that was a curious bunch... He'd barely noticed them before now, but nothing looked amiss to the horribly drunk lion. Regardless... He hobbled a bit in their direction. "Perhaps some investigation...? To satisfy the worries of two lovely lasses such as yerselves..." He turned to look behind him. "What do ye think, Jakk?"
The pale lion's ears went back as he watched the male with the fire-tipped tail leave. He really didn't like him... So much screaming in his head... He'd have to ask his mother when he got home. Which first they'd need to SURVIVE... His attention was on a black and white lion, questioning them. Oh balls... "Ah, aye, just... Taking our comrade home..." He gave Ru a bit of a shove. "Off with ye, let's get home, now..." Name, name... He couldn't give his REAL name, could he? "I... Be... Yan." Didn't pirates have other names? "But yee can call me Salty." Oh, he hoped that worked... "We're all rather new, ye see... That's pro'ly why ye don't know us... Yet. A stranger is only a friend ye haven't met yet." Talking like this was really sour on the tongue...
He flicked an ear, noticing a dark lion in the trees flanked by a pair of white lionesses. Something about that lion... He couldn't put his claw on it, but there was something about that lion...
Pili, too, was getting a strange feeling. As he waited for Jakk's opinion on the matter of investigating, he noticed a white lion amid the strange group. Not an unusual sight, as it was, with so many lions around to begin with, but there was just something about that lion... And he couldn't put his claw on it.

No matter what the larger than average, lean, bright red lion thought of the pirates, the fact that his Captain was making demands that were not being met was enough. His mane was poorly groomed and his facial expression was stoic, solid as a rock. Intimidation wasn't his game, but one of the good things about pirates is that they're known to quickly band together to protect something they value, such as their land or lives. This was the duty of being on a crew, as a pirate in these lands.
As if walking in a line of his ancestors and the attention of all the pride, Target casually marched to Teech's left hind side with nothing to say. More like a trained solider awaiting orders than an individual party, or as Mekka preferred to think about it, as a piece of a singular entity waiting for judgement.
His milky lavender eyes had been worn with time in the hot sun, this actually gave his eyes a chance to truely settle on the creatures in question. They pierced through the deceit of the impostors, there was no way these were real pirates! 'Why would such a big group of newbies such as myself gather together?'
Several thoughts that flitted through his mind as he waited for the answers of the 'pirates', more asserting his facial expression's transformation into a poker face. If they were spooked, they would surely skatter like cockroaches and cause more harm than they may have intended.

Jakk had already been staring at the strangers that had gathered on the beach. He heard Pili say his name, and he turned his head, clearing his throat.
"What? Yes. Aye." He said, nodding his head, not really paying attention to what had been asked. Something was off about them, and usually as drunk as he was, he'd be easy to fool. But they smelled weird, and he had a nose for smells..
Then he turned attention back to Pili, bowing his head to the ladies. "Pili, Ol'chap. Let's go explorin'." He said, grinning a little. He was always good with foiling plans, and he had a feeling, there was a plan going down right now.
"Excuse us, doves." He said to the twins, before turning and heading towards the group.
