Like all Asgardians, Sif is superhumanly strong and possesses greater physical strength than the average Asgardian female. At her peak, Sif is able to lift about 30 tons. She is also capable of running and moving at speeds much greater than that of even the finest human athlete. Her musculature produces considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of a human being. Given this, she can exert herself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to impair her. Her body is also much more resistant to physical harm than the body of a human being. She is capable of withstanding great impact forces, exposure to temperature and pressure extremes, powerful energy blasts, and high caliber bullets without sustaining injury, this can be attributed to her increased body density, having about 3 times the bodily tissue compared to average human physiology. As a result, Sif is actually much heavier than she appears. This increased tissue density also contributes somewhat to her physical strength.
Her lifespan is also different from those of earthlings; she ages at a rate that is much slower than that of a human being. However, Asgardians aren't completely immune to aging, as some other god pantheons are. Despite her body's resistance, Sif can be injured like any other Asgardian. However, her metabolism enables her to rapidly regenerate damaged bodily tissue with greater speed and efficiency than a human being is capable of. Injuries such as slashes and punctures can fully heal within hours, whereas broken bones can heal within a few days. However, she isn't able to regenerate severed limbs or missing organs.

History:
The daughter of two Asgardian nobles, Sif was ushered into a life of maidenhood early on. During her childhood, she was introduced to Thor and Loki, the offspring of Odin, and the three became close friends. Upon reaching their teens, Thor and Sif had developed a deep-rooted connection with one another. Jealous of their bond, Loki attempted to sow the seeds of discord between the two by playing a cruel prank on the girl and removing her renounced golden locks. Heartbroken, Sif mourned the loss of her hair in utter sorrow, and in seeing such, Thor went into a rage, demanding Loki replace what he had been taken. Without much choice, Loki obliged and attempted to create a bargain with the dwarven Sons of Ivaldi, who made the hair out of pure gold. Unfortunately, the trickster stole the creation before it was able to be treated properly and upon placing the hair on Sif's head, it grew darker by the minute before finally turning as black as night. Though her locks were restored, the incident had a lasting impression on the girl, one that changed her outlook forever.
Upon being stripped of her vanity, Sif quickly became aware of her shallow attitude and realized how petty her life had been, and how she had known its course before it had even begun. In light of this, she took a stand that day, pledging to forge her own path rather than tread roads that had already been paved by those around her. With haste, she began searching for her true passion and soon found it in the heat of battle. Taking up the sword, she left behind the life she knew and joined the Asgard shield maidens. There, she learned the ways of the warrior, both physically, mentally, and spiritually. With years of practice and dedication, she took to the blade as if born to wield it- a maiden of Asgard now turned goddess of war.
In recent years, Sif has stayed loyal to her homeland, and sworn allegiance to the Asgardian court as a protector and guardian. However, with the recent energy spikes, dimensional rifts, and rumors of Loki's reincarnation on Earth, Odin has instructed her to serve as his eyes and ears on Midgardian affairs, making sure their crises stay under control and away from his people.
