[PRP] God Spawn Meet-n-Greet (Uzoma x Nikusaidie)

It had been a dream, a very vivid and interesting dream. The little lioness cub reminded herself as she wandered through the roguelands with one of her brothers and an escort. They kept warning her not to wander off, they they were close to a prides borders and they didn't know much about them. Saidie was so curious though. This area they traveled through looked just like the place she had played in her dream. Saidie had no idea she was a seer, she thought her dreams were just that -- dreams.

As they got closer and the guards got a little more cautious though, Saidie's curiosity got the best of her and she slipped away from them and headed of down a unwalked path she had seen in her dream. There was something up here she needed to see. Some sort of thing, or creature. She couldn't remember all her dream, but she remembered there was something.

Little did she know she was on the border of the amazon pride now, and was putting her brother and their guards in danger by roaming unchecked. She really just wanted to see if this place really was the place from her dream, though.

Uzoma knew she was supposed to stay near the center of the pride where the nannies could keep an eye on her, but she couldn't take one more minute of her stupid cousin Kyria. Things had gotten even worse since Kyria became an adolescent - she though she was so grown up, but she was still a stupid, good for nothing booger.

She stalked towards the edge of the pride, contemplating her next move. She wished there was a girl Kyria liked - then she could spread all kinds of rumors and lies. Failing that, maybe she'd find some sticky fruit, let them ferment a bit, and drop them from a tree. Maybe she could rig the trap to drop the fruit when a wire got crossed or something... then she wouldn't even have to be there when it happened and could claim she knew nothing about it.

Did any of the trees near the border have the right kind of fruit? Distracted by her thoughts, she didn't notice when she passed the border all together.

Everything looked a little familiar, here and there she spotted similarities to things she dreamt about, though there were things that looked totally foreign too. It was so weird. She'd never had a dream that 'came true' like this before. Then she spotted it, a tree! She had definitely seen something like that in her dream. With a giggle she ran towards it then started trying to climb up it, barely making it to one of the lower branches before leaping up a little higher.

She smirked to herself and looked out to where she had snuck off from and saw her escorts and her brother taking a moment to rest, looking sort of annoyed. At least she knew where they were and she could get back to them easily enough. Then she heard something and perked her gaze towards the source of the noise. There, in the brush she spotted a dark figure moving through the grass. Was it another lion?

No, no, no! None of these trees were right. There had to be - oh hey. That tree had a cub in it. Uzoma stopped a moment, confused as to why there was a cub, especially one she'd never seen before. And they were past the border too... her fur stood on end as she realized it might be a rogue cub. And where there was a rogue cub, there might be adults.

Kyria wouldn't be frightened, she reminded herself. Giving herself a shake, she stalked over to the tree. "You! Cub!" she called. "What's your name? Where's your mother?"

Saidie gave a soft squeak as the other spotted her. She crouched on the tree branch and stared the older girl down a moment, trying to figure out if she was going to attack her and if Saidie needed to run away, or scream. After a moment though, she flickered her tail behind her and swallowed nervously before speaking. "I'm Nikusaidie... I don't have a mother anymore. She left a while ago." She explained eyeing the other cautiously again. The dark red female seemed so bold and strong, it intimidated Saidie a bit.

It was now Saidie wondered if perhaps she should have stayed with her escort, like he had told her to. Perhaps they hadn't been lying when they said the pride near by was dangerous. She only hoped the other young female didn't try to capture her or attack her, she really didn't want to have to admit to the escorts, and her brother, that he had been beaten or scared, or attacked.

Uzoma stared at the cub blankly. No mother? How could anybody not have a mother? She herself had two, as did most of the members of the pride. She closed her eyes to reassure herself, thinking of mama Nkiru. A brief image flashed before her eyes of her mother stalking a gazelle. Safe and sound. Good!

"I'm Uzoma," she said, making an abrupt decision to be nice to the motherless cub. "What're you doing up in that tree? Are you lost?"

Saidie watched at the other female seemed to calm down and act a bit less... intimidating. "I'm Nikusaidie. And I was up here to look around. I had a dream about this place and was looking to see if all of it was in my dream, or if it just looked similar." She explained as she looked around a minute. "This tree is the last thing I remember seeing in my dream though, because then I woke up!" She smiled. The little cub had no idea she had seer visions, especially not right now, she'd only just had her first one last night, as subtle and minor as it was.

"I heard the pride over here is kinda dangerous. Is it true?"

Dreams, eh? Uzoma wondered if the little cub had true-dreams like her and her sisters did, but dismissed the thought out of hand. One tree looked much like another one, the cub had probably dreamed about a forest and upon waking thought it was this forest. But just in case... "Did you see me or anyone else in your dream?" she asked. "Or just a bunch of trees?"

"Aye," she said proudly, "we're real fierce and terrible! But only to boys and..." She trailed off a moment and closed her eyes, thinking of all the scouts and guards she had met. Flick. Flick. Flick. None of them were nearby. "... and none of the guards are here. But they'd hear me if I called," she added hastily, remembering that the rogue cub might not be alone. "Girls are all right. Mama Nkiru wasn't born here, but the queen let her stay and stuff. If you lost your ma... you can stay here if you like."

Saidie blinked at the bigger, dark red girl and then offered a soft, and a bit passive smile. "I won't cause trouble, I promise." She heard the others words though, they were mean to boys... like her brother and escort. That must have been why they didn't want her wandering off and hadn't exactly come after her yet. They were worried she might bring the attention of these lionesses who would attack them. As she realized the girl asked about her dreams she wrinkled her nose, thinking. "I don't remember exactly... I think I saw dark fur, but I couldn't tell you if it was yours or something else. It was just a dream. I get them a lot, they usually are of places, and then I find the place! It's pretty cool."

She then thought of something else. Stay here? She considered it, but had to shake her head, "I'm sure your pride is wonderful, but my mother insisted that I be taken to her sisters pride. Two of my siblings were taken by a couple who couldn't have their own babies and then my other sibling and I are heading to the... the... Drat! I can't remember their name.." She seemed to ponder the thought for a while. She was also careful to not mention her traveling sibling and escort were male, that would only cause problems for them, and if they found them, she might be kidnapped by this female dominated society. But she knew that would not be what her mother wanted. She just had a feeling her mother might be mad if she had to somehow rescue her and protect her brother. She didn't know how she might do it, it was just a feeling.

Still no way to tell if the cub had true dreams or not. Maybe so, but... Eh, best not to worry about it. The mention of a sibling and heading to another pride was much more interesting. Cubs couldn't travel that far on their own - that meant rogue adults. Which was worrisome because Uzoma had been bluffing about the guards hearing if she called. What if the rogues showed up and thought she was attacking the cub? Or thought that her mother didn't want her either and tried to take her away?

"You'd better tell your escort not to get too close to our pride, they might get the wrong idea. If they're only passing by I mean. Are they close? Do you need help getting back?" Uzoma sincerely hoped not. The minute the club left, she was going to run back inside the pride. She'd find a tree with sticky fruit somewhere further from the border.
