As Ciaran led the way back to the Sikkuku lands, he kept looking behind him to make sure the lioness he had met was behind him. She seemed like a nice lady from their conversation back at the river and she wasn't too hard on the eyes. It was hard to keep from flirting with her back at the river, though there were a couple times he hadn't been able to hold his tongue.

He hoped she would enjoy the tour he would take her on and that she would consider staying around for the upcoming celebration. This month was the first celebration for the Vuli clan and he had no doubt they would put everything they had into the celebration. Even if she left after, it would still be nice to have her around for a short time.

He shook his head slightly and tried to focus on the areas he wanted to show her.

Jolanka looked around with eager eyes, taking in the surroundings. When ever Ciaran looked back at her, she would give him a big smile. She was sure to stick closely with him to make sure she didn't get lost. That and the fact it was comforting to have someone to walk with.

"So what are we going to see first?" She asked, her voice filled with excitement. This was beyond amazing for her. Not only had she made a friend, but she would be seeing a new pride and getting a personal tour of the pride! There must have been a god who really like her, she thought, because she was never this lucky.

If they were not having a celebration yet, she wondered if she would have a chance to see them set up instead. That would be almost as interesting to see.

Ciaran stopped walking once they reached the heart of the land. Her excitement at seeing the pride was spreading; he could feel his own excitement building now.

"Well the main thing to see is the mountain," he gestured to the huge mountain in front of them. "In the winter, you can see snow up there," he couldn't wait until that happened, he loved when the mountain was capped with the substance.

He led her up the mountain a little ways. "The higher you go, the different it is. Some levels have dens and that's where a lot of the pride retreats to. And up above those trees," he nodded to the set that he meant, "is probably the most beautiful meadow I've ever seen."

Jolanka stared up at the mountain with awe. When he mentioned snow she tried to imagine the white powder on top of the mountain top. She had never even seen snow before. Her knowledge of it came from her father who talked about it many times. He didn't like it much, but he also preferred the heat of the dessert. "You are so lucky to have snow so close to the pride! I hope that I will get to see it snow once winter comes. I am sure it isn't as horrible as my father says it is. He considers it a pain. When he told me about it I thought it sounded magical." She spoke with a youthful bliss in her voice.

Her ears perked up when he mentioned the meadow. "Oh I would just adore to go there! I always love meadows. They are so peaceful and filled with life. Do you think we could go there, I mean if we have time. I mean, I just really would love to see everything about the pride and I wouldn't want to waste our precious touring time." She spoke again with a fluster in her voice. "Everything here is so lovely! I feel a bit selfish wanting to see it all, but I just can't help it."

The look of awe on her face made him grin. "I love it. Especially after dealing with the hot months; it's relaxing to lay down in it and just roll around. The first snowfall always makes me feel like a cub again." he told her, looking up at the peaks that would eventually be covered. "It becomes beautiful. Ice covers the water and occasionally the trees and when the sun hits, it sparkles."

He chuckled slightly at her enthusiasm. "It's not a problem at all!" he motioned for her to follow him again as he started to trek up towards the meadow. "The first thing I did once I found this place was to explore. We can go up there and then I can show you around the rest, if you like."

As she listened to him talk she image playing in the soft snow, feeling its cold touch on her nose. "I must come back here during the winter." She did a twirl, imaging snow coming down from the sky, falling all around her and she finished her little twirl. "It just sounds so unbelievable! Compared to the sand that I grew up with, snow seems to be such a wondrous thing! And ice. I would really like to see ice someday."

She followed him toward the meadow, not even trying to hide the bounce in her step. Someday she would visit this pride again, she was sure of it! "It must have been fun to explore this place. There is so much to see. It is a clever spot to put a pride." She said, still looking around her as she walked. Her thoughts were on how it would look in the different seasons. Each season showing a different aspect of the surroundings. Than she thought about how amazing it would be to see the pride as a cub, how the wonders would awe them. She would be sure to bring any cubs she had here, just for a visit. They would love it, she was sure.

"I would like that very much. Thank you again for showing me around! I feel so honored to have this opportunity." She said with a giggle. "I would not have guessed this morning that I would be doing something like this."

Ciaran grinned back at her. "You should! That's also the season that my clan takes over the festivities," he told her proudly, "We've already been planning and coming up with things for the young members of the pride to do." He had not had much experience with the sand that she spoke of; avoiding the heat of the desert as much a possible was a plus for him. "I'm sure sand is nice, but I'm not really one for deserts too much. I'll take the snow and ice any day."

As they continued their trek up to the meadow, he noticed the slight bounce to Jolanka's steps when he looked back to keep an eye on her. He was glad she was enjoying the tour so far, even if all there was to take in was scenery. "It is. And up here you can easily notice the changes." he nodded his head to the trees that they passed, "Right now we get to see the leaves changing as autumn comes and the Vuli clan starts their celebrations. Soon enough the leaves will fall and snow will come, then us Mrao clan will start on ours. Then the leaves grow and it gets hot; the other two clans rejoice during then." He thought of all the information he was sharing with her and hoped he wasn't overloading her with too much information. Though if she ever wanted to come back and consider joining, it would be good information to have.

He grinned at her as he stopped at the edge of the meadow. "You are very welcome. I never thought I would be escorting a beautiful lioness around when I set out this morning."

Jolanka thought about her home for a sand for a moment. "Sand isn't terrible. It's just being around it your whole life can feel a bit dull at times. It was easy to hide though. I think that in snow I would stick out a bit." She said jokingly.

Her eyes glanced up at the trees leafs above her. She liked the colors they showed. As he talked about the pride she listened closely. "I shall try and come back for each of the celebrations and also see the change of the trees for myself. It sounds like something that shouldn't be missed."

Her ears went warm when he said that she was beautiful. "Ah um thank you!" she stuttered. It had been a long time since she had been complimented. She had never been good at accepting compliments. It always made her brain a bit confused.

Ciaran nodded in response to her comment about the sand. With her tan coat, she would blend in perfectly with the grainy substance. He, on the other hand, not so much. He chuckled slightly at her joke about the snow. "Well we'll stick out together then," he replied back with a similar joking tone.

He nearly beamed when she mentioned she would try to come around for the other celebrations. "It's definitely something that needs to be seen at least once."

He grinned when she stuttered over her response to his compliment. Instead of trying to make her more uncomfortable, he gestured with his paw to the meadow, "Welcome to a small piece of paradise."

Jolanka laughed at his joke. She could just picture them together in the snow, both standing out together. Together. She felt her ears become even warmer. It would be a lie if she said that she wasn't attracted to Ciaran. However she wasn't sure if she wanted to settle down so early. It would hurt though to do some flirting, she thought with a smile.

Her eyes lite up when she saw the meadow. It was so beautiful with the bright green grass and the occasional flower adding color to the meadow. She darted forward into the meadow and found a spot of just grass. She laid down on the grass and let the sunlight hit her stomach. "This is beautiful," she said looking over at him.

This was the sorta of place she could see herself relaxing in the autumn. It was still cool, not too hot and it had a beautiful view. Everything here seemed like it was coming right out of one of the stories her father used to read her, where a prince falls in love with a common lioness. Could this all be a dream or was this really happening, she thought.

Ciaran watched her close when she laughed at his joke about blending in. He wondered what she was thinking about, especially as her laughter quieted down. He didn't know why he was feeling like this; he hadn't reacted like this to any of the other lionesses in the pride. What was it about Jolanka that was making him feel different? He didn't think he was ready to settle down yet, though the cub that loved to come curl up with him had started to make him wonder if it was time for him to have a litter of his own.

He shook his head as the lioness moved into the meadow, her eyes lighting up at the sight of it all: the grass, the small flowers. He grinned at her reaction, "That it is."

He walked over and laid down a little bit away from her. For once the sun felt good on his pelt; not stifling like it had been. He could feel a contented purr building in his chest.

Jolanka watched him as he laid down next to her. This place was so relaxing, so unreal. She wished that she could just forget about her desire to travel and just settle down here. However she knew this pride wasn't meant to be her home. She knew she wanted to come visit again. This pride would be where she went to rest and enjoy life.

However, even now as she thought about how this pride wasn't where she belonged, she couldn't help but want to stay longer. "I was thinking, maybe I could take a break from traveling and stay here for a little bit, I mean if that's okay with you." She hoped he would say yes. She didn't want to leave the pride or him just yet. Even if it was for a short time she wanted to extend this dream. The more she thought about it the more flustered she got. "And I mean, not here exactly. I don't think I would be allowed to stay in this meadow and I don't think it would be appropriate place for me to sleep. I could even sleep outside the border if it would be a problem for me to stay in the pride at night."

She looked up in the sky, not wanting to see Ciaran in the face. It was a bit embarrassing for her to confess that she wanted to stay longer, mostly because it wasn't just the scenery that made her want to stay, but Ciaran as well. She knew that they wouldn't be together, that they wouldn't have a beautiful story ending. Once she was ready she would leave the pride and only come back for visits. "I am sorry if I don't make much sense. To be honest I am just so confused right now," she said with a laugh.

Ciaran took a deep breath as a slightly breeze blew past, sending the mix of scents that belonged to the meadow up to meet his nose. The scent of the familiar flowers and grass was comforting, as well as the small whiff of Jolanka's scent that had mixed in with the others. He felt he could be content staying like this, but he had an idea that it probably wouldn't last long. She wanted to explore and see the world; he enjoyed being in his pride too much to follow after her when she left.

When she mentioned staying around for a little while longer, his ears perked up slightly. "If that's what you would like to do," Why did he feel like a adolescent with his first crush, wanting to bury his head in his paws in slight embarrassment? He ignored the urge and gave a have grin when she clarified what she meant. "Hey, I'm sure the meadow is a wonderful place to sleep, just ask the local cubs," he chuckled slightly before turning serious again, "If you would like to stay around here for a little while, I don't think anyone would complain. And you definitely don't have to sleep outside the border."

As she looked up at the sky, he couldn't help but wonder once again what was going on in her head. He could almost feel that even though she was willing to stay now, it didn't mean she would stay forever. Whatever was to become of them while she was here would only last as long as she wanted to stick around. Once she got the urge to travel again, they would both have to move on.

When she commented on being confused, Ciaran nodded. He understood exactly what she meant. "Well it's been a very unexpected day, confusion was bound to happen," he said with a small smile.

Was staying what she really wanted to do? Since she headed out she hadn't stayed in the same place for more than two nights. Now she was considering staying here because of the scenery and a little crush. To be fair though, none of the places she stayed at looked nearly this beautiful and none of the lions were as nice.

"I think it might be good to stay in the same place for once. I've never stayed in one place for long and I sorta miss it. Plus I could use some company right now. Traveling alone for so long was much more lonelier than I thought it would be." She confessed with a sigh. "I could probably take a nap here, it's just so peaceful. It will be nice to sleep somewhere safe instead of out in the open. You never know what is out there."

She looked back over at him and gave him a gentle smile. "A very unexpected day. And I feel like there is bound to be more surprises to come." After all they still had the rest of the tour of the pride. Though she would be just as content staying here with him.

The dark lion nodded. "I understand. I used to miss companionship when I was traveling too. Especially when you can go days or weeks without running into anyone." As much as he liked venturing into the rogue lands on occasion, he didn't think he would ever go back to that life style. Not after being in a pride.

"If you would like to nap now, you can. We could continue our tour later." He wasn't tired himself, so if she fell asleep, he would keep watch just in case someone else decided to venture up to the meadow for some reason.

He took a chance and moved over to graze his nose against her cheek. "Very, very unexpected and lots of surprises, I think."

Sure, it seems like its near a decent spot to end. Would she be interested in meeting a cub that hangs around Ciaran?
