Battle Guilde and Rules

The art of combat, because this is what Genomes were made for.

Important!
All battles take place in the Battleground! If you start battling during RP, move the battle there and return to your RP thread afterwards!
Battle posts don't count as RP posts!

I've tried to keep this fairly simple and easy to understand. but if there are any questions, feel free to fire away.

Stats:

This is how your character works.

Level: self explaining
Enery: Numbers of battle you can do each day/24 hours
HP: Hitpoints. your life. you start with 100 and gain 100 more each lvl up.
TP: Tech Points. Needed to do Magic etc. depend on your jobclass
Speed: Highest Speed attacks first.
ATK: Attack power + Dice makes your damage
DEF: Defense power + Dice makes up your defense

Each character starts with two points on speed, atk and def, 6 points in general.
As soon as your child grows into an adult your points will raise to 11 and are put depending on your job class. this is done by the Operator.

Speed, ATK and DEF can be raised with certain weapons:
General long ranged weapons (& magic): + 2 speed, - 1 def
Daggers: + 1 speed
Broadswords: + 2 atk, - 1 def
Swords, Staffs : + 1 atk
Shields: +2 def, - 1 speed
Please choose your weapon carefully and state so at the beginning of combat!

With each level up, you gain skill points to spend on either of the three stats. HP and TP can't be added.
Tell the Operator on Lvl Up where you want to add that point.

from lvl 1 to 2: + 1 point
from lvl 2 to 3: + 1 point
from lvl 3 to 4: + 2 points
from lvl 4 to 5: + 2 points
from lvl 5 to 6: + 3 points
etc.

Levels:

Everyone starts at level 1.
Your level raises with combat exp.

Each won battle gives you 1 exp, no matter what lvl you are on.
With each lvl up you gain 100 additional Hitpoints and from lvl 2 on each lvl up gets you one additional energy.
(i.e. if you are lvl 5 you have 4 energy, you can battle 4 times a day)

To lvl up you need:

lvl 1 to lvl 2: 10 exp
lvl 2 to lvl 3: 30 exp
lvl 3 to lvl 4: 60 exp (as you can see, from here on the points double)
lvl 4 to lvl 5: 120 exp
lvl 5 to lvl 6: 240 exp
etc.

on a side note: battle lvls are directly linked to jobs as are rp lvls. you need certain lvls in both to advance to a higher job rank.
and: To fulfil the minimal rank for your character to become an Elder, you need both RP and Combat LvL 10.
happy levling!

Rules

For battle samples go see the sticky in the Battleground!

Player 1 vs. Player 2 combat.
Points are decided by a dice roll between 1 and 6.
The Player with the highest Speed starts the round with the first attack.
First each player state your weapon of choice.
To depend the fastest player by adding base stats to weapon stats. and don't forget to add atk and def stats from weapons too if appliable.

Now player 1 begins and rolls a 6, his base atk is 5, so the damage he can deal is 5+6=11.
player 2 defends and rolls a 2, his base def is 2, so he defends with 2+2=4 and takes a whole of 7 points of damage.

If the atk is lower than the def, the defending player blocks the attack. he or she can now do an additional roll of dice, if it turns out a 6, he or she counters. (same rules as atk, but can't be defended against and counts as a critical strike)

Notice if you use a skill instead of attack, they have their own atk and def that are added to base stats without the roll of a dice!

The battle ends when one player has lost all HP or forfeits.
The winning player gets one exp to his or her count.

Energy

Is the count of battles you can do every 24 hours.
You start with one point at lvl 1.
If you start a battle, you have to wait 24 hours before you can start another battle, no matter how long the first one takes.
The hours are always counted from the starting time.
