Rajnish stalked the shadows as he neared his home, the pride he loved almost more than a lioness within it, but that was to be worked on later. With a glance behind him, Rajnish watched the cubs trail after him, following his steps. He wondered if any of them would be able to heal her broken heart, to heal her aching soul to help her shed the guilt, but he knew, in his dark little heart that none of them would replace what was lost.
There could be no doubt that these little runts were his, and while he has a friendlyish relationship with their mother, it was no love loss between them and he had taken what was his. He left two behind with her, but these..these were his, for her. Yes it all made sense to him in his twisted workings, that he could return home now, return to the place that he missed like a vulture missed a meal of rotting flesh..But more he missed her, even watching her silently from the shadows had been more than these past months could even offer.
He paused at the edge of the pride, and scented the air. Would she be near? Had she missed him? Would she accept his offerings?
Maya'Najwa kept as close to her fathers shadow as she could, she wasnt sure of this place he was bringing them to. He had told them wild stories of his home, of their home and she was excited to go, but scared as well..He had told them of a lioness, who he seemed to love. They were going to be gifts to her? It baffled Najwa a little, but she loved her mother and had been a little sad to leave her, but her excitement to see her fathers home, their new home had been much more overwhelming.
When he paused and looked back over them, she shrunk into the shadows with her siblings as she watched him smell the air, he had been whispering for a while now, but not to them, she could sense something in the air, deep in her bones she knew her father was talking to someone..but who she wasnt sure..

Mahalia had heard that Rajnish had left. She'd heard he'd left, and while she knew it was wrong to miss him so desperately, she had. Mahalia had missed him so utterly that it had frightened her at first. She'd steeled herself to be better behaved than that - she'd paid her dues for making her mistakes, and now the Loa came first in her life.
Or so she'd thought - until now. Terrified to make the same mistake again, Mahalia had busied herself with her duties, her sacrifices, her daughter's Hounfor.
Nothing took her mind off of the lion she'd loved for so long that she couldn't remember what it felt like not to.
She visited the borders of the pride each morning, shortly after spending time at Violine's Hounfor; it was at the borders where she caught sight of him the morning of his return. Perhaps it was a whisper on the air that foretold of his return, a soft chanting that drew her closer. Perhaps it was his scent, heavy and familiar, that foretold of his arrival. Mahalia did not know.
When she saw that he was not alone, her heart lodged in her throat, unforgiving. Mahalia remained silent for the time being, waited until he noticed her - all the while her eyes almost feverishly drinking in the sight of the babes he toted with him.
Ti Kado padded along silently behind his father and sisters. There was no fire in his step, no cublike passion in his demeanor. He did not speak; he merely drew up close to his sisters in a protective fashion, not sure of the words his father spoke but certain that they were close to their destination.
He missed his mother for a sharp, bittersweet moment, the feelings rolling over his small frame as he tried to remember what she looked like. Memories did not come easy, and Ti Kado found himself distraught for a split second. Those feelings were immediately squashed as he regained control of his young self; the last thing he wanted to do was to upset his sisters, and so the young cub schooled his expression into neutrality.
He caught sight of the purple female and watched her curiously, seating himself close to the rest of his family.

Unlike the rest of her siblings, and family in general, Veruchka had no sort of worries or qualms. In truth, she had no idea what was really going on, but... didn't seem to care, otherwise. At the current time, she didn't really have an opinion on the members she was born into, and hadn't paid too much attention on the explanation of what would happen to them. The first female who'd given her nutrients and life was just a faint thought now, her image forgotten, and scent still slightly remembered. Her father? He seemed interesting enough, and knew what was what in life, thus she followed him. The littermates surrounding her were fun, serving to be great sources of entertainment with play and warmth for sleeping, so she probably had a better connection with them. In truth though, it was all just an adventure, and she looked forward to where ever this new place that her father spoke of held! All ties of her short past severed, she was game for what new excitement was in store.
Pale eyes were dead set ahead of her, very slowly veering from side to side to inspect the changing scenery, a light, unnerving smile peeled on her lips. Hopefully there would be places to explore here, too! new bugs to track, and plants to stare at. Every once in awhile her attention would focus on a lion, snapping to her brother or sister, and giving an even wider smile, or a playful n** to their round ears. Her tail maintained a natural sway back and forth, the tuft twitching in the movement, gait somewhat peppy. When they came to a halt though, she blinked curiously up to the large male in front of her, and walked around to take to his side, to try and see what he was looking at or what the hold up was. Remaining standing, she stared blankly at the unknown female, showing no real interest, before looking up to the plum purple male beside her, staring for a good long while... observing his sniffing techniques. Her own nose gave a few twitches to test out, but eventually she spoke, "who is that?" she asked casually, referring to the lioness across the way. Rajnish seemed to know a lot. So she figured he knew everything.

Rajnish's gaze fell onto her and he felt as if he had awoken from a long slumber, his tail seemed to awaken and flicker behind him, touching on each of his cubs as if counting and checking to make sure he hadn't lost one, he knew he hadnt. Whilist their mother had not been his love choice, they were still his and he'd not let harm befall to them, worldly or other.
He'd been careful to whisper charms over them, to watch the shadows that crept around their paws. They didnt know what their father did, or was able to do and he didnt want his darkness to taint them, oh not yet anyways he thought with a slight grin.
They all had been silent until Veruchka's voice broke through, he took his gaze away from Mahalia and to the daughter who mirrored her mother with teasing hints of himself in her. "Mahalia..is her name.." He said softly before he took a few steps towards the purple lioness. "Mahalia. I have returned home, bringing gifts to you."
When her father spoke, her ears twisted as her brows knitted together, she could still hear whispering voices, but who were they?! Her eyes danced around until the presence of her brother beside her, and the voices were lulled into silence, she leaned against him for a moment happy not to have to listen as she payed attention the purple lioness. Her name was familiar, her father had spoken of her. She looked with an amused look at her sister Veruchka, who had been the only one to ask who the lioness was out of them all, she giggled softly.

Mahalia's gaze immediately shot to Rajnish's, narrowing just the slightest. The cubs? He'd brought them to her? She couldn't stop the harsh pang of sorrow that shot through her chest. Once more her gaze danced across the young cubs; each was given a long look before she turned to the next.
How could she say no to such a present? How could she turn away such a gift? If she denied them, they would be confused, possibly upset. That was the last thing she wanted for them.
"It is a surprise," she rasped hungrily, desperate to nuzzle those tiny, chubby cub bodies with her nose, to draw them in - to allow herself to pretend that they belonged to her - that life was different for one bittersweet moment. Her attention was once more given to Rajnish. They darkened with hurt. There had been a time that he'd once given her the sweetest gift of all - their daughter. Violine's bones clacked gently at Mahalia's neck.
"One I was not expecting, Rajnish."

Ti Kado watched the violet female silently, vibrantly mis-matched eyes narrowing just the slightest. He was not certain what was going on here, but he did not want his sisters harmed in any way. No - he would protect them. It seemed, perhaps, that his father was quite taken by this female. Ti Kado gave this Mahalia a vicious look though he remained silent.
Cool, collected - as he'd always been and likely always would be, despite being so young.
