[PRP] Sneaking out ~ [Aida x Onuris]

Thwayya, Onurises mother, had fallen asleep in their den. Now was the perfect time for a little sneaking out! Very slowly the cub padded past his mother as she slumbered. He was careful not to step on her tail this time. One would not believe how many times Onuris stepped on Thwayya's tail and woke her up while trying to sneak out.

A little to many times than Onuris would ever admit.

That was besides the point as the cub slowly slinked out of the den. Little paws stepped on the temples semi sandy floor. He was free. The cub imidately turned from cautious mode to playful mode which probably wasn't the wisest considering his mother was still pretty close by despite being asleep. Onuris didn't have time to think about that though. He was a cub! And he had just slipped past his mother with out stepping on her tail!

He scurried away from the mouth of his family den and started for one of the many halls of the temple. It didn't matter which one he stumbled upon, long as it wasn't where he lived. His paw steps were heavy and awkward. The cub had big paws he yet to grow in to which made running a little awkward. Onuris tripped over his own footing and found him self face planting in to a pile of sand. The light tan cub just laid there. Defeated.

Had the temple won?

While the royalty of the pride was sneaking away, Aida was creeping about. She was able to get away from her parents rather easily, due to her large litter of siblings. At the moment, the little cubbin was stalking after a locus. It had made the mistake of wandering too close to her family, and drew the adventurous girl's attention. Thus the hunt began!

Fluffy orange tail tuft flickered anxiously behind her, the long limb it was attached to bending and swaying eagerly. The bug didn't seem to care much about the cubs presence. It would hop, and stop to rub its legs, or clean it's mandibles, before continuing on. Small paws crept after, sinking into the sand, muffling any sound she might make. A rumbling purr wanted to rise from her chest, but she kept it confined. Couldn't scare her prey!

But suddenly, it leapt for a good long time, making rounded ears perk in alarm, and Aida take off after it. Racing along the open area, pale blue eyes honed on her target, she had to suddenly skid to a halt as the hopper jumped right onto a random obstacle that was in the way. Blinking, Aida realized it was another cub! Perking her head up, she lowered it slowly, sniffing curiously... while the lotus played with the short fur on the little male's head.

"Hey... stay still, ok?" she whispered to Onuris, carefully leaning over him with an open mouth to try and snap her catch.

Onuris kind of just laid there for a while. That was until he heard some one or something. What ever was said was not registered. Onuris was still dealing with a maw full of sandy unpleasantness. When he finally did look up he saw some jaws headed right for his face. The cub let out a surprised gasp and hopped back. The locus stayed upon his fluff as he whirled on back still gasping. The cubs little limbs retreated close to his body in fear.

Then he noticed that she was a she and a cub. Not some monster. He'd only saw her jaws. He let out a sigh.

"Stay what?" The words were now plugging in to his brain. "Were you trying to eat me?" His brows fell down in concern and annoyance. "Cause if you were I'm going to have to eat you first."

He was dead serious. But he wasn't sure he wanted to eat a cub that just sounded bad. There was also the matter of the how one would eat a cub. He supposed it would be like eating anything else but the lion wasn't sure. Could a lion be eaten? Seemed possible and impossible at the same time. Onuris held his stance. The locus stayed happily perched on his head.

A squeak escaped from Aida as the other cub reacted, reeling back as well in alarm, eyes widening. She had not been expecting that! She was impressed too by the locus that remained attached into the thick bang of hair atop the little male's noggin.

Blinking somewhat perplexed, she eventually started to spill with a bubble of giggles. "Eat you? No silly!" she smiled, and padded up to him, eyes intent on that buggy! "I was trying to get the yummy bug that's now on your head. I chased it from my home!" she puffed her chest up rather proudly, a semi cocky grin now spread on her face, "I'll let you have some if you let me get him~" she cooed playfully, giving the cutest expression she could. It worked on her parent, surely it could work on him too!

Onuris almost fell backwards as the other cub erupted in to bubbly laughter. He'd not expect that from some thing that was trying to eat him. She said something about a bug. The boys ears twitched.

"Bug?" He relaxed a little. But then he tensed, "Its not a scorpion? IS it? GET IT OFF IF IT IS !" He wanted to roll around and try to get the bug off but instead he stood perfectly still. What kind of bug was on his head? It could be a number of sting related insects. Scorpions he'd heard stories of. Onuris really hoped it was not one of those.

Pale blue eyes were intently locked onto that locus. It once again resumed cleaning it's jaws, and forelegs, as if nothing bad could happen upon it's new perch. Smirking slightly, the young lionesses flicked her tail eagerly. There most certainly was something that buggy should worry about!

With Onuris' reaction though, she perked her ears again and looked to him with another wide-eyed, amused expression. Doing her best to stifle another giggle, she shook her head again, "No, no~!" prancing closer to him once more, she got in a crouched position, "It's a hopper.." she whispered, as if not wanting to scare the critter off. Without warning, she leapt up to pounce at it, also in turn knocking the other cub over in the process. Unfortunately, the locus was faster... and was able to sprint off way before they both hit the ground.

Groaning with displeasure, she huffed softly, "Got away..."

Onuris remained tense until he heard it was not a scorpion. A hopper? Onuris made an embarrassed face at that. There was no time for him to properly react and regain his cool because in moments the cub was on the floor with the female. His mouth remained open and his eyes remained wide. Shock maybe.

Onurises manly independence points were slipping through is paws with every moment. All the girl could say was that it got away. The fact the hopper had got away upset the small tan cub for some reason. The hopper had insulted his man hood by choosing his own head to perch upon. And now it was time to die.

"Which way did it go??" He gave the girl a serious look. "We could probably still catch the thing. Or, at least I could I'm sure." He puffed out his chest which was awkward looking as he was still laying on the floor with the girl on top of him. Onuris wiggled out from under her and stood as proudly as a small cub could.

"Come on!" He hadn't even waited for her to reply to which way the locus had gone. Eagerness had already grabbed him full on and he was off in the wrong direction. Pride needed to be restored.

Not really doing much to work on getting off the other cub, she looked down at him curiously as he questioned. Eyes snapping back up, she tries to peer around, "Uhmmm... hmm..." she had no idea... those things were so fast! And could hide in the dips and hills of the sand. A few scratches were in the soft grounding, showing where the bug had went off to, just a little at least, but she didn't notice right off the bat.

Peering back down at the cub she had pinned, another soft giggle spilled from her from his puffed up reaction. "I dunno!" she piped up back to him, shifting off of the other as he started to squirm.

She watched with amusement as he grew rather determined on the subject, smile widely spread on her maw, tail flailing behind her. Without saying a word, giggles the only sound coming from her, Aida bounded after the other cubbin, "Ok!" she chimed happily. But the locus was loooong gone by now... "It'll taste so yummy!"

"Taste?" Onuris was in such a hurry right now he didn't really think much about eating the thing. Not that he wouldn't eat a bug. He would. But the cub hadn't really thought about that so much as revenge was in store for this bug. Oh yes, he'd tare the thing from limb to limb when he got a hold of it. Either that or step on it. He supposed sitting would do just fine too.

But there was no time to really think in detail about what one would do if they got a hold of the locus because so far Onuris wasn't seeing a locus.

"Huh?" He came to a stop and looked at the other cub. "You think maybe it tricked us?"

"Yeah! Taste, taste!" she sing-songed, tail flicking about behind her. Surely it would taste delicious, most buggies did!

Round ears flipped up as Onuris suddenly stopped, making Aida squeak and bump into his rear accidentally. Peeking around, paws soon following to take to the other cubs side, her pale eyes scoped out the area. Squinting some, she hummed in thought, "Maybe it burrowed under ground..." she murmured, slowly looking down at the sand under her small paws. They kneaded curiously, before one began to dig at the soft ground. She'd seen some bugs do that! Finally, she gave a little huff of disappointment, "It's too fast to catch!" she remarked, looking to the other youth, "Know where some more bugs are?" she asked, face starting to light up with hope.
