Ember Delaine
Ember eyed the Death elf as he fidgeted with the collar. She had no way of knowing how effective it was, but it was good to take precautions. She regretted her lack of knowledge of these particular elves, and disliked being at a slight disadvantage. However, he did refrain from using his powers. As they came upon her property, a sheen of black appearing before them. A tendril snaked out and flicked Ember's skin and then Aingel's, tasting the blood from both beings. The leash of darkness around Aingel marked him as Ember's, and the dark ice fire parted, allowing them both through. Ember ushered Aingel in with her as the ice fire sealed back up again. She spared him a glance as they headed up to the house.
"I will show you around the house before anything else. As stated earlier, I expect and will exact the proper obedience and respect from my slaves." She flicked her eyes to the boy's collar again. "You will be required to clean and aid me in the care of my herb gardens. You may occasionally be called on to help me cook. Once you show sufficient aptitude, you will also be employed as a body guard. Though I am capable of protecting myself, precautions never hurt." With that said, she opened the front door and entered, pulling him along with her by the leash.

Ember Delaine
Ember heard Aingel sigh. She smiled humorlessly, easily guessing what it was about. She jerked him forward with her leash, voice a low, cold growl. Reaching forward, Ember gripped Aingel by his chin, ice fire searing his skin. When she removed her hand, a blackened hand print would remain until he healed it, though the pain would linger a while longer. "This rude behavior will not to do. I asked if you understand me. It is either 'Yes, Mistress.' or 'No, Mistress.' When you have proved your competence, your responsibilities will increase to more...exciting things." In her eyes, images of destroying towns, fighting monsters, breaking into to heavily armed areas and other things flickered. "Now do you understand me?" Ember still had not let go of his chin. Her other hand had drawn up more ice fire, and it flickered, waiting to be used. She betrayed nothing in her expression, but she was cursing her lack of knowledge on Death Elves in her head. With all the other monsters and creatures to tackle, the most Ember knew about them were the basics from her old lessons.

And when he gets to Heaven,to Saint Peter he will tell...
Aingel let out a low growl of his own, similar to that of an angry dog not appreciating being hit with a stick. He winced slightly from the pain, but refused to show any other sign of discomfort. Perhaps he could kill this woman and take over her house....nah. Death Elves were savage, but loyalty was a major part of their society, even in....involuntary relationships. AS long as she held the air of authority, Aingel saw no reason to betrayer her. So, he sighed again.
"Yes, I understand, mistress. "
"One more soldier reporting, sir. I've served my time in Hell."

Ember Delaine
The expression on Aingel's face made it quite clear what he thought of his home, but Ember ignored it. She was so used to moving around that she no longer bothered with luxury to the extremes. True, she liked nice things, but after constantly moving, creating a big gaudy palace just wasn't worth it. She led Aingel up to the second floor, pointing out the rooms before they went up to the third floor. Again, she merely gestured and named the rooms before finally heading up to the loft, and through there, the roof. Gesturing around to the large loft Ember said, "If you wish to destroy something, you will come here, and only here." She then led him up to the large roof and over to the herb garden. It was smaller than the other two she had, but this one held more of her rare and valuable herbs. "I'm unaware of whether or not your limbs will grow back, but you'll get the chance to find out if you damage any of these. Is that understood?" Ember turned her cold gaze on Aingel, waiting for the expected 'Yes, Mistress.'

And once again her ignorance of the Death Elves rang through. Even if he wanted to, Aingel coudl not hurt the plants, regardless of his mistress's wishes. The Death Elves had made a pact with their gods to never hurt plant live, ever, or even comsume any plant based products. The result was that the Death Elves were carnivores, and cannibals, eating their enemies in battle (they never ate their own; when there was a war between clans, there were often races to see who could clean up their dead before the other side came in to take the bodies.) Plus, Aingel was an expert gardener anyways. He smirked.
"Of course, mistress."

Ember Delaine
After Aingel gave the expected answer, Ember remembered one of the basic things she had learned several years ago. Death Elves couldn't harm plants. Her expression darkened imperceptibly, but she made no indication to show that she knew she had just made a fool of herself and that she knew Aingel knew. Her temper growing at her ignorance, Ember silently took a breath, black flames flickering at her feet. After a moment, she led him back to his room on the second floor. "I'm going to make us something to eat. If you're hungry, tell me now. While I cook, you will tell me your knowledge of Death Elves." Anything he told her she would later look up in her library to reference. She wanted to waste no time in being educated in the ways of Death Elves, and she had one as her slave. Granted, he could most likely spew a bunch of lies or things that would really get her killed, but it was also possible there would be bits of truth. "However, first you must go clean yourself up. There are spare clothes in the drawers, we'll find you more fitting wear later." The leash shifted, settling in and melding to the collar the boy already had on, giving her some measure of control without having to have Aingel on a leash all the time.
{OoC: Edit. I donno why on earth I thought cooking was one of his collar charms, so just ignore that part. Ember'll do the cooking. }

Aingel nodded, and went upstairs to get some new clothes on. So, she wanted to know more about the Death Elves, he thought as he removed his clothes. A rare thing, for an outsider. Most just wanted a Death Elf for the pleasure of having an Elven body to ravage, or in some cases, abuse, and never did hear of their history. To be honest, Aingel would be more than happy to talk about his race, if it gave him something to pass the time, anyways...

Ember Delaine
Ember headed down to the kitchen as Aingel went to get ready. The collar she had melded with his original one allowed her to know his location and condition, and if he was doing something like disobeying her orders. She recalled faintly other small facts, such as the fact that Death Elves couldn't even eat plant based foods. She tapped her chin, wondering if they could eat animals. Muttering under her breath, Ember went simple and grabbed a bowl of cereal, and odd food to see a fire demon-shapeshifter eating. "I'll just have to ask him when he comes back down." There was a brief awareness at the edge of her mind which was the collar. The boy was still cleaning up and changing, so she finished her cereal and headed down to the basement, going through her barriers. Below ground there was a large and expansive chamber of multiple levels. Places for summoning other demons and studying were on the higher floors, and down below were the cages and torture implements. She cast out a pulsing orb, and watched as it echoed through the chamber, the air rippling. All was well. Ember turned and headed back up to the kitchen arriving at about the same time Aingel should.

Aingel came back down, now clad in a white tank top that stopped just below his chest, exposing his torso, and a pair of black cargo shorts with sneakers. He was unsure what compelled him to wear such an exposing top, but he didn't care, much. He would have gone shirtless, but he knew that it would probably draw unwanted attention from his mistress. As he wandered into the kitchen, he saw Ember, and nodded at her in acknowledgement.
"So, what is it you wish to know about we Death Elves?"
"One more soldier reporting, sir. I've served my time in Hell."

Ember Delaine
Aingel entered just a few moments after Ember did. She arched an eyebrow at his top but made no remark. Her own clothes were simple, black leggings with thigh-high light-weight boots that were sturdy with a simple form-fitting, tunic-like tank top, designed like the rest of her wardrobe specifically to shift with her instead of getting torn to bits. Her hair was in a braid draping over her shoulder. Ember flicked her eyes over the rest of his attire, realizing just how short he was. Her eyes flickered imperceptibly with annoyance at the manner in which he addressed her. The collar around the elf's neck tightened slowly, cutting off his air bit by bit. "When speaking to me, you will call me Mistress. I thought I had made that clear." When it was clear he could no longer breathe, she allowed the collar to loosen to the normal size, air rushing back in. "Before we begin: glasses, plates, utensils." Ember gestured to where each one was at. The fridge and freezer were fairly obvious. She indicated to the other cupboards as well. "Varying foods. I'll need to know what you can and cannot eat." After she grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, she leaned against the counter, watching her new slave. "I wish to know everything. You may begin with telling me about your society."
