news sources say that the people who spread the virus were using people's comps to click on ads and stuff so that the hackers could make...like...money? off of ads? IDK what i read xp

most viruses/hackings are created with bad money in mind though

you rarely ever have to turn off your mac? ;D

I rarely turn it off. i think in the past...couple of months...ii've only turned it off a handful of times...like 3-5. lol. most of those were just to reboot for system updates. wooo!!!

for me, 'shutting off' my mac is basically just closing the top to put it to sleep. dramallama

lol I figured this would happen. Mac's are slightly more common place than they used to be.

also the REAL pro to owning a mac will always and forever be the pretty and/or giant displays. omfgggg /mouth waters

Macs aren't virus-free, there is just no anti-virus software for mac that reports running viruses. That Macs are safe from malware is a myth; there is already a crapton of malware targeting Macs that exist with more being created all the time. Owning a mac to avoid getting viruses is like cutting your d**k off to avoid getting AIDS

But.... I never shut off my desktop, and it runs fine..
Also, no viruses
....and a 36" HDMI monitor...

I'm not seeing where macs beat PCs when PCs can do the same thing for cheaper neutral

It's still way easier to get a virus on a PC than a Mac. it's like, using birth control vs using a broken condom to avoid getting BABIES.

well yeah with desktops PCs probably work well since you can customize it and add hardware.

with laptops though macs are so awesome. i have to transport mine around a lot and it's way more convenient and faster than what i used to use before I got a mac. the battery life is so good too emotion_kirakira

You don't even know

For graduating from highschool (07) my parents bought me a laptop

It's still around today, after I've reformatted it like 8 times..... and the only way to keep it from overheating is to literally sit it on top of a WINDOW fan that's blowing into it at max speed

PC Laptops are terribad

That's why I love my delicious custom desktop; IT WILL LAST ME FOREVAR
