Calvin was a hedgehog. At four months old, he was only a baby--his life expectancy had originally been around six years.
His intestines started coming out his a**s, poor guy. He had a hereditary intestinal disease.
Even if Calvin was just a hedgehog, and I only had him for a few months... Calvin got me through a really hard time in my life. Hedgehogs are not loyal, like dogs. They don't really care how you feel. But having him around, being able to play with him really kept me going.
I had to euthanize him not long ago.
He was my baby. Calvin, I miss you a lot. Rest in peace.
