If new seasons keep being released, bringing new kinds of pokemon with each installment, is it truly possible to "catch them all" ?

No. A much bigger question is where are these new pokemon coming from?
Professor Oak discovered, 150 pokemon in the beginning. Though for some reason needed you to go around and look at all of them, and hopefully catch all of them.
Yet, in only a few years, the 150 pokemon (which for some reason included Mewtwo despite him not actually existing until after you start your adventure) that were all the world knew, 343 more were discovered. What is this? Do they just not look around or something? And how come Johto was never mentioned? it's just on the other side of the mountains and is a fully developed country with 99 new pokemon.

For Gen 5, it's just a different continent not connected to the rest in any way. through ancient times. So different pokemon evolved.

I would say that it totally depends on...

* How many versions of the Pokemon games from each generation you have
* Whether you're keeping track of special events that give away event Pokemon
* Whether you have at least more than one DS
* How much money you (or your parents/guardians/relatives) have to buy the games you don't have yet
* Your luck on catching Pokemon in the games
* Whether you're keeping track of special Wi-Fi hotspots that you can go to if you need to get event Pokemon at a certain period of time
* Whether you know people that are willing to trade with you to help fill up each other's Pokedexes
* How far you've progressed in each of the games so far

Given that most (if not all) of these requirements have been fulfilled, I'd say yes... as long as you have the right resources and information on hand. cat_3nodding

Doesn't matter, you gotta catch em all! It's an imperative! How else are you gonna be the very best like no one ever was?
