Welcome to the...
Pokemon's Gambit Order
The hidden opposition... Makes for an imminent destruction
Start weak... Stand taller... Add a gambit... And make a falter

The introduction to the Guild, should have just about everything you'll need to know, while you're spending your time, here.

[Note, that each SubForum should have a separate one of these, but in longer form, and more detail, but only describing one specific factor (i.e. 'The Battle Tent : Wi-Fi Battles' will have an extended, more detailed version of the 'Battling System/Rules of Battling' tab, here)]

Here is the...
Table of Contents of the Introduction :
The Rules
The SubForums
The Leagues
Battling System(s)/Rules of Battling
Trading System(s)/Rules of Trading

The Rules

The Rules of the Guild shouldn't be too complicated, but are expected around the Guild. These rules are necessities, and we expect everyone in the Guild to follow them, it is considered rude, and against Guild policy to break these rules.

Keep Everything Within Gaia ToS [Terms of Service]
This is a rule that every Guild should have.
If you do not know what the Gaia ToS is, it can be found here

Stick to Each Individual SubForum's Rules
Pretty simple, and straight forward. As stated in the introduction, to the introduction, each SubForum will [at some point], have a separate list of rules, terms, and guidelines for it. Just follow these rules, terms, and guidelines, and you're golden.

Activity is a Necessity
Us, the Guild, would like to be an active, flourishing Guild. Those who do not contribute to the Guild, will at some point be kicked, due to inactivity. In some point in time, one Crew member will be appointed the duty of checking every single Guild member's activity, and judging upon who stays, and who doesn't. It's a simple rule, but one with a costly consequence.

Politeness
This really shouldn't be needed to be said, but it will be, in any case. Be polite to your fellow Guild members. No, criticism of a team is not considered being rude if it's asked to be rated, or if you're giving criticism to a Pokemon of the Week entry, otherwise, it's considered rude, and impolite. Just be nice to the people around you, no they don't have to be your best friend, but just try to stay respectful through and through.

The SubForums

This is a brief layout of what each SubForum is, and does, so you can understand, and know how our Guild Forums works, and runs, and how its SubForums are divided up. Each SubForum basically tells you what it is, and what it's for in it's name, so I'll make this a brief summary.
[Remember that each SubForum will (at some point) have a section of rules, terms, and guidelines in it, as a Sticky, Announcement, or first post. Make sure you read these, along with this]

Dewford Hall : Introduce Yourself Here SubForum...
Is for posting your Introduction to the Guild, so everyone can get to know you, before you start moving around in the Guild. It is the first in the lineup for a reason, please post here before posting anywhere else. [We will occasionally judge partial activity, and make sure you've read this, by checking to see if you've posted you're introduction].

The Battle Tent : Wi-Fi Battles SubForum...
Is for, obviously, Wi-Fi battling. It's a pretty standard, easy to figure out SubForum. This place is basically, where you'll post challenges for battles, and such. There are a few currently existing threads in this SubForum, and the battles have gotten pretty intense.

The League : Gyms/E4/Champion, and The Battle Frontier : Frontier Brains/Champion SubForums...
Are for the Guild's ever changing Pokemon League. We take in the strongest of battlers as Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and someone will eventually battle their way to Champ, then move to the Frontier. Gym Leader spots can be taken from a Gym Leader, until our League is completed. Just message the currently existing Gym Leader, and whoever wins [both using their Gym teams, proving who handles the typing better] the match, gets the Gym Leader title.

The Global Trade Terminal : Wi-Fi Trades SubForum...
Is for trading, of course. It's an easy to understand formatted SubForum. It's pretty much the same overview as The Battle Tent, but with Trading, rather than Battling.

Navel Rock : Get Your Teams Rated SubForum...
Is where you post your battling teams, ask for advice, and just see what people think of your team making prowess. This is fairly simple, and easy to understand.

Altering Cave : The RolePlaying Forum SubForum...
Is our RolePlaying SubForum. The Altering Cave SubForum is where all the RPs themselves, and big decisions will be made.

The Pokemon Trainer Fan Club : Pokemon Discussions, and Theories SubForum...
Is where we, the Guild, discuss the TCG series, and the mangas. All sorts of fun things can happen here. To online card battling [quite interesting], to deep, well thought out discussions on the mangas, or TCG series. Pokemon theories can also be posted here, as long as they're appropriate [PG 13]

The PokeDex : Pokemon of the Week [PotW] SubForum...
Is where we will be posting our PotW entries. PotW is a restricted event. Only people granted permission, through a series of checkings can post a PotW entry. Normal members may gladly waltz in, and criticize [as long as it's toned], as they please.

The Lilycove Museum : Post Art/Art Shops Here SubForum...
Is where the artists of the Guild can gather together, and post their awesome art. Some people can just post previously made art, to show off, whilst others can open up sprite, and art shops within the SubForum.

The Cave of Origins : Reminisce in Older Generations SubForum...
Is where we can chat about the older generations, or the current ones. We could have a thrilling conversation about the old, glitchy games, when MissingNo was a mysterious culprit, and shiny Pokemon were just miscolored glitches. The possibilities are endless.

The Guild's Past : Previous/Non-Active Events SubForum...
Is just where we deposit our no longer operating events, or already ended events, nothing too special about this SubForum, though, feel free to look at our past events.

The Professor's Lab : Instructionals, and Competitive Battling Help Found Here SubForum...
Is where we, the Guild Crew, and other certified Members, will post Instructional help for competitive battling, and we will teach you how to battle competitively.

The Leagues

We have two main Leagues. The Gyms, the Elite Four, and the Champion section of the League, and the Battle Frontier section of the League. The Gyms, E4, and Champion section are currently in the making, we are now recruiting Gym Leaders [Some spots are already reserved]

The League : Gyms/E4/Champion
This section of the League has its own SubForum, as does the other. The monotyped Gym Leaders, and Elite Four, are allowed to use any Pokemon of the type [as long as it isn't Uber]. There is only one real test, which is the Gym test. If we find that you are more than suited to be a Gym Leader, we may bump you up to E4, with discussion. Until we get our League's Gym Leader roster completed, if multiple people want one type Gym, the two will battle each other [using their Gym types, plus their Wild Card], and whoever wins the battle, gets the Gym position; you can always win your Gym back, so do not delete your Gym page [This rule may be nullified once the Gym roster is completed, though it may stay forever active] The next thing about The League, is that the Gyms are arranged in a Tiered System. This means there are four tiers, aside from the Champion and Elite Four. You must defeat at least two Gyms in each Tier, to move onto the next. You start on Tier One, and move your way up. I will post the Tiering Chart once we get at least eight Gym Leaders, and four Elite Four.

The Battle Frontier : Frontier Brains/Champion
This section of the League has it's own SubForum. This section is currently under beta until the first section of the League is completed. This will hold the general amount of Frontier Brains, but, like the Elite Four, we'll be having a sort of, 'Champion' of the Frontier. The first Champion of the Frontier, once it's started up, will be chosen upon whoever defeats the Frontier Brains first, we will have no preset. The Battle Frontier Brain slots are invite only, you cannot ask to join.

Battling System(s)/Rules of Battling

We really go by one or two main rules, and systems for battling.
Around the Guild, what we call a 'battle' is a Single Battle, Wonder Launcher off, Smogon's Standard Clauses [with the exception of the Duplicate Item Clause], and then Smogon's Tiers [Unless personally asked to use the Guild's own Uber Tier, which is in the process of being made solid. Much discussion still needs to be made].

Before getting into detail. There is one major rule we have. Hacked Pokemon are a major rule breaker. Hacked Pokemon are definitely against our policies. Using hacked Pokemon could be classified as similar to breaking every single rule on our Rules list. This is not tolerated. PokeGen'd Pokemon are allowed, as long as all their features are ordinary. If we catch anything supernatural, or out of the ordinary during a battle, or a discussion, you may get one warning, at most.

Smogon's Standard Clauses of Competitive Battling
Evasion Clause
Moves that boost evasion, such as Double Team and Minimize are not allowed. Abilities that boost evasion such as Snow Cloak and Sand Veil are still allowed. The item Bright Powder is also not allowed. The reasoning behind this is simple. If moves like these were allowed, the game play would be overcome with poor accuracy and would essentially turn into a game based solely on luck.

Freeze Clause
No two Pokemon may be frozen at the same time. There is no move as of current time that solely freezes a Pokemon, therefore this Clause cannot be enforced, but is legible once such a move becomes available.

One Hit Knock Out Clause
Moves that cause a one hit knock out, such as Sheer Cold and Fissure are not allowed. Similar to the Evasion Clause, luck should not win a battle but rather strategy.

Sleep Clause
The players may not put more than one Pokemon on the opponent's side to Sleep. The move Rest is not affected by this Clause [Self induced Sleep does not count]. If it were not for this clause, Pokemon like Breloom, Butterfree and Darkrai would run rampant putting everything they see to sleep, preventing the player from essentially doing anything, making a battle unfair, at the least.

Species Clause
No two Pokemon of the same species may be used on the same team. For example, two Gardevoir's would violate this clause, but a Gardevoir and a Gallade does not. This is because teams are suited for countering specific Pokemon only once. A team of Zapdos' would essentially require everyone to have a Blissey. It would destroy the balance of the metagame, and just imagine a team of 6 Arceus, for example.

Self Knock Out Clause
If both players have only one Pokemon remaining in battle moves that knock out the user, such as Explosion or Destiny Bond, are not allowed. If a player uses a move that causes recoil damage such as Flare Blitz ends the game in both Pokemon fainting, the player that attacked LAST is announced the winner. This is largely because the player knows full well before hand that a move like Flare Blitz will have the chance of fainting their Pokemon.

Hax Item Clause
The Hax Item Clause bans Items that increase Hax ratio, for example, a Sniper Drapion, holding Scope Lens will sweep very much. Or a Jirachi holding King's Rock.
This Clause bans the use of the items listed here, Scope Lens, Bright Powder, Quick Claw, Focus Band, King's Rock

Trading System(s)/Rules of Trading

Trading is a pretty common way for us to get Pokemon, fill out our PokeDex's, or making new teams. More or less, we just have to have fair trades, so you can't try to convince someone to trade their Perfect IV'd, Shiny Latios for a Pikachu. Trades must be with legitimate, non hacked Pokemon. There are ways to detect if a Pokemon is hacked, and you could get in deep trouble for doing such.

The rules, there really aren't any. Just keep your trades fair, don't make any last second decisions, and keep your trades legitimate. Also, if Trade Threads, like, 'Mojo's CRAAAZY Used Cars!' have additional rules, follow them. They are allowed to add on additional rules as long as they are reasonable ones. All Trade Threads still follow these rules, these are 'universal' rules, for the entire Guild, these are the rules every Trade Thread will follow, even if it does not say so specifically.

The Holding of Events

Here in the Guild, we will often be holding events, such as Tournaments, Contests, and such. These will all be made as a temporary SubForum, posted below the locked SubForum, '!~Pokemon Contest Hall : All Open Guild Events Will Be Posted Below~!'. We will just about always have at least one event up and running, once an event is completed, we will be moving it to the SubForum named, 'The Guild's Past : Previous/Non-Active Events'. Feel free to join our Tournaments, their main rules tend to be held within the main thread of the Tourney. We tend to also hold special, once a year Tournaments that have specific rules in them, for holidays, such as Christmas, Halloween, et cetera.
