<< Personality
There is no single way of defining Tien's personality- she is exactly what you expect her to be and yet not, at the same time. Trickery is just as likely to trip you up as aide you- it is what she is, what she does, why she exists. Who she is to you and how she behaves depends on how you perceive her and how she perceives you as well. Tien will shift (though not always literally) to meet expectations- if you are firm in your belief that she is a menace she will gladly take that role or, on the reverse, that of a teacher if you seek the serpent's wisdom. Though, the outcome may not always be what you expected or even the one you were hoping for.

On the whole her methods are not outright cruel- she is not her other, Deceit -still you should tread carefully and be aware of who you deal with. (There have been occasions where what she did would be considered cruel, but it was necessary at the time.) The unwary or unprepared are prime targets for pranking.

<< Powers
Mask → Trickery may need to look like many creatures, objects or people in order to successfully pull pranks. As this power stands so far, Tien can take a general form of anything she wants (it can’t be a specific individual to be impersonating them). It doesn’t have to follow physics, the mask allows her to be small as a mouse or big as a house…but it only lasts a handful of hours if she pushes it. The less similar to her own shape, the more energy it takes her to maintain it. Close scrutiny also reveals that all is not as it may seem with the see creature. The mask doesn’t affect smells, tracks left, or other tells that have given away pranksters over the millennia.

Known Forms - Elf, Faery, Human, Dragon, Catgirl (Aoide), Serpent

Prop → When playing tricks, a trickster might need some supplies. Tien can summon to her any one, simple item for her tricks (ex: a bucket for her to fill with water, a bunch of bananas for the peels, a length of rope to be a trip line) The item exists until the trick/prank is sprung, and then it vanishes like it was never there at all.

Little White Lie → Once in any encounter, Tien can successfully bluff a little white lie and have people believe it. The extent of the lie that can be successful depends on the level of the person(s) she is talking to- if they're a more powerful being, the lie can only be about a single aspect of an event. If they are weaker, it could be a whole minor event. She has to be careful, like Saruman the White- talking to many people at once risks the lie showing through.

Lookout → She can make homunculus that act as lookouts for herself or a prankster that prays to her. While a trick is being set, in the case of physical traps/pranks, you might want a lookout. The warning cry of the homunculus is only audible to the person who prayed/whom it is attached to.

Morgan was seventeen years old when she fell through a portal to Gaia from Earth on the way home from a gaming session. She was in a rush and decided to take a short cut home through the alleyways, which she thought she knew well. After a day of wandering lost in a village on Gaia she was found by Crispin and his Dragon King, Shaiming. They brought her to the Pantheon to stay until they could find a way home for her.

The girl fell in love with Crispin, despite his attempts to dissuade her against the notion because he might not be around much longer. Shaiming made a promise to her one night while Crispin slept: to do what he could to preserve the boy once the time had come but he could make no guarantees. When the time finally came Morgan spent several frightening hours in her room while she waited to see the outcome. Her heart skipped a beat when Tian Yue showed up at her door and she silently thanked Shaiming for what he had done.

They were able to spend quite a bit of time together before the shoe ended up on the other foot so to speak. One day Morgan wandered downstairs to find Harmodius on the couch in the guise of a handsome youth. He pressed Trickery's gem to her arm and began her trip down the rabbit hole.

The mortal girl was the one who helped begin Tien's healing though she did not realize it. They sought Trickery's past together, but what neither knew then was they sought the wrong part of it. Tien does not cling to her mortality as she once did before meeting Enjiron and the survivors from Eshurian, but she and Morgan are still very much the same person and the girl will never be forgotten. Her quirks and behavior still surface every now and then without the goddess realizing it.

Asherah was a gift from Harmodius during Tien's youth long ago. They have been together for so long that they are more like sisters than mistress and servant. They tease and torment each other on a regular basis, just as badly if not worse than regular siblings would. There was a time that the catgirl served as Trickery's voice when the goddess was not present, but now that station has fallen to another. Before Nykyrrian came along, and after his death, Asherah also served as Tien's protector; remaining always at her side, even through the darkest parts of the goddess' life. In this life her charge changes as needs change.

The catgirl is generally respectful but not afraid to speak her mind on things, particularly to her mistress. She behaves more like a woman than a cat, only reverting to more feline like behavior when angered or otherwise distressed by something. In addition to her own natural weapons Asherah is quite handy with daggers and other types of short blades- she and Tien spent many years learning how to fight together so they could better protect themselves.











Gul was found by Asherah during the first Weeks of Gehenna. The demoness did not know what she truly was until the catgirl explained it to her. Up until that point she had been living with a band of traveling performers and working as a dancer. Since the demoness is so sweet-natured Tien knew almost instantly that Gul had been someone else's before now, but Gul has no idea who it might have been. So now she happily works as Tien's self appointed hostess, cook and housekeeper.










Enjiron is Mir'eshu a near human race from Eshurian. He is the reincarnation of Nykyrrian, one of Tien's aoide from before the Fading, but he does not remember anything- having only learned of it from Tajnevaki and Ophidia, the seeress of his clan. In some ways he is like Nykyrrian was, but he is his own man and is even more headstrong and stubborn than his past self was. He is Tien's mate and protector, having already made up his mind never to leave her side.

Being a nobles son he has become quite the skilled fighter from having to spend his life defending himself and his brothers. His weapon is special, a two handed blade that can be split into two smaller swords if there is a need. He spends a few hours each day practicing to keep up his skills.

Kaylin is one of the few survivors of the Mir'eshu from Aejiss. She spent a good deal of her life working under Lorinia's nose as a spy; following in her mother's footsteps and putting her life on the line to undermine the witch's rule and power. She might be a firecracker and a trouble maker but she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes to be right and that is what endeared her to Tien. Eshu's return was fated to happen in her lifetime, but she did not expect to be helping her patron goddess bring down the witch.

She followed Trickery back to the pantheon and since her ascension she serves as Tien's voice when the goddess cannot be present.

Kaulu and Valis are Tien's familiars, who often serve as her protection in times when blades are of no use. They are generally not seen unless it is needful, but they have been known to show up on occasion when they feel like it. At first they would seem to be little more than common animals, but as Trickery gains in power they will get more of their liveliness back. The serpents are intelligent creatures and though they are incapable of speech both have ways of getting their thoughts on things across. They were first created when Tien's body could no longer contain her mana- Kaulu is older, from before the Fading but Valis was created more created more recently when Tien ascended to youth.

Trickery's Quarters, Pantheon

"Ti Malice your rooms lie behind arching dual-doors, one of gleaming brightness, one in deepest onyx. Each carved ornate and elegant, but with secrets only She will know." He rumbled at the Goddess, pleased with what he had wrought; she would find the doors to suit her, with tricks and trials to be set or not, at her whimsy. - Yu Five Claws

Forewarning: The hallways in quarters may rearrange themselves randomly. It just depends how much Tien feels inclined to troll people.

Marks of Passage - These are given only to those she trusts most, when drawn on the appropriate door it allows you to bypass any test that might have been set in place for you. If you allow another access to her rooms via your mark it means you are willing to speak for them no matter the outcome. So choose and place your trust carefully.

Refurbished Hostel, Kedatol

The hostel is in Kedatol, a small town several hours (around 3.5 - 4 hours walking) south of the Pantheon proper. Tien masquerades there as one 'Lady Nancy' and plays the part of a noble woman. The townsfolk do not know of her true identity as of yet, though a few might have some idea.

Even if it was a lavish home by mortal standards, by the standards of gods it might seem a simple affair. But it was Tien's home none the less and to the eyes of mortals it was styled to appear as if it belonged to a noble lady. The house had been a hostel before, meant to house the travelers who passed through town. It stood three stories tall, the outside still looking a little worse for wear from the Weeks though it looks a good deal better than when they had first come there. The inside is restored the best that the goddess and her two aoidei (along with a few hired craftsmen) could manage.

The first floor is a general living room type space, furnished with couches, chairs and whatnot as well as the kitchen.

The second floor is where the bedrooms are, each filled with mismatched (and in some cases heavily repaired) pieces of furniture. Enjiron and Asherah's rooms are on the left side of the hall, with two empty rooms after. On the right side is the bathroom, Gul's room, Itzal's, then an an empty one and finally Ser's.

The whole of the third floor is now Tien's room, since she has gained so many house guests recently. It is a large open room with wooden floors and two fair sized balconies (each facing toward opposite sides of the house) each equipped with double doors than can be closed to keep the elements out or left open to let light and air in. There are a few light couches in the room that can be moved around at need depending on what the room is being used for. There is large comfortable hammock hanging in one corner, for when Tien decides to come up and be by herself. There is also a short ballet bar setup on one wall, though there are very few who would recognize it for what it was. Also in the room is one of her most prized possessions, an antique looking record player and a small selection of records. It was a small miracle such a delicate thing had survived Gehenna and she immediately snapped it up from the market when she found out it still worked.

Mir'eshu (Aejiss & Eshurian)

The people who would become the Eshurians were among Tien's strongest followers and thus were her most treasured. She first made contact with them after her horse slipped a shoe and she was found by one of their border guards, a young man by the name of Nykyrrian. She visited his people several times before revealing herself to them as a goddess. Nykyrrian became her second aoide, her protector, always between her and danger. The pair loved one another deeply and his death at the hands of a woman seeking to steal what was Tien's changed her for the worst- she became a creature of lies, vengeance and deceit and so she remained until merging with Morgan. Tien and Tajnevaki sent the rest of Nykyrrian's people to the planet that would become Eshurian to keep them safe, both from Tien's enemy and Tien herself.

The people prospered, following the laws that were given to them for their own protection and to ensure they survived. The population grew and they began splitting into different clans- twenty five in number by the time Gehenna happened. Each made up of a noble family, those under their protection and the seeress that guided them. The clan of Nykyrrian's descendants- the Zertrove, also called the Blades of Eshu, is the first of the clans and are in charge of a repository of artifacts left to them by their ancestors.

When Gehenna happened the protection on Eshurian faltered and the settlements were overrun by demons. Survivors banded together to fight and find a way out. Portals landed them on the world of the Pantheon, unaware of what they would find there. There are less than two hundred left of the entire population. Most of the survivors currently live in the mortal hallway in the Pantheon proper and some live in Tajnevaki's quarters or with Tien.

- Tyr "Itzal" Eirys - A former, and not surprisingly unwilling, servant of Zrath. When the sorcerer was killed his mind was set free. He was one of the lucky few who retained their sanity. A good deal of his memory is gone, but he has moved on with making a life for himself. His daughter, Asedri, is Kemetzefanya's host.

- Jesran Vryce - A noble from Eshurian, he is the current leader of the Zertrove or the Blades of Eshu- which makes him a powerful and influential man in the eyes of the mir'eshu nobility. He has a very strong personality and tends to be quite opinionated. Despite his occasional flairs of temper his heart is in the right place; fiercely loyal to his family and equally devoted to his goddess, Eshu.
