jean practically beamed when the cub padded over and rubbed against him happily. It had been a while since he had received praise for something he had done and it seemed like this little guy was just full of positive reinforcement. He set the hare's body down and shook his head.
"I'm going to stay, but I'm not going to eat anything. You need to have your fill and I'm not hungry at the moment, anyways." Okay, so maybe catching the hare and thinking about food had made him a little hungry, but Unnebar was sort of the priority at the moment. The cub needed to be fed and he didn't want to take any of the food away from him.
It never even crossed his mind to wonder if the cub was weaned or not.
"I like to think I'm a nice guy. Go on, Unnebar, eat up," he said with a small, lopsided grin as he settled down onto his belly to watch the cub.
"And when you're done, I'll take you back to the main pridelands. You can stay with me, if you wish."
