Psychology Today, the leading magazine for American psychology hosted an article on its website by evolutionary psychologist Satoshi Kanazawa, a noted sexist and bigot. Kanazawa is infamous for using "science" to prove racial links to intelligence among other things. Shortly after receiving quick and severe condemnation for the article, PT took it down, but not before it'd been saved.

He uses all sorts of statistical data to prove his "facts," but the veracity remains to be seen, and considering the source, the material is likely a misconstruction of information.

The gist is, black women are the least attractive for a couple of potential reasons, such as black women having more testosterone and thus looking manlier than women of other races.

On the whole, it's more "science" masquerading as science explaining inferiority. One might think it was 1911, not 2011, amirite?

The irony of such comments is that western models for example are idealized to have no body fat and to look like a tall lanky guy. Women are more likely to hold onto fat than men are in case they get pregnant.

I'd like to say that he studied how confidence is perceived as physically less attractive in females when rated by males, but then I remember that theory was already published one month earlier.

Good thing he found some other factor to blame instead of the most obvious factor, since he'd look like an idiot if he didn't.
