In memory of Viscus Universe.

User ImageIt is an age of new heroes, of powerful artifacts, elements, magic, worlds, communication and technology. New powers both evil and good have arisen, overshadowing the problems of the past with concerns for the present.

The images of Sora, Donald, and Goofy, referred to as The Trinity, are found on nearly every world in the form of statues or murals. Considered important historical figures, many people have also formed a religion around them; The Trinity is worshiped, Mickey seen as the bringer and revealer of mystery, and Riku villanized. Kleides is home to many such believers, and is also home to the Legion of Lightbearers, an organization of warriors selflessly dedicated to stopping the spread of darkness. Through their efforts, the universe has remained largely peaceful for the past fifty years.

But the Light has a boundary. Worlds have been conquered and twisted, their populations "Frozen", turned into statues, then animated through a forbidden form of black magic; mindless and ageless slaves for all eternity. Known simply as The Sorceress, this evil queen's empire extends along countless worlds. Powerful items, such as the Cornerstones of Light, have halted her progress and keep her confined, but do little to stop her more powerful minions. Darkness has a limited reach... for now.

++Plots

We control The Sorceress plot, and we just started the Olympus Coliseum plot. Anyone may be a part of them! Subplots, and co-plots, within, outside, above and beyond are quite welcome, and far from insignificant. Don't be afraid to ask about anything, and don't be afraid to make your own.

There are several items we've made, of great power, that your character could stumble upon, go on a quest for, or obtain in whatever way you wish (so long as you don't make it lame, like, "I found this on the sidewalk, hur de hur.") They can be wherever you wish; the Cave of Wonders, Monstro's belly, a labyrinth, etc, and you can claim, and make an entire plot around it, under your control.

You can make up your own item to hunt for. You could be on a quest for revenge. You could be looking for a lost lover and keep getting hints from a mysterious cloaked stranger. Plots are best when people collaborate; see if someone else likes your idea and wants to be a part of it. You can do anything at zombocom. O_O Anything at all.

Story So Far
The history of the roleplay will go here, that is, what we've roleplayed will be summed up in this section. Nothing's happened yet. XD

Current Plots
Here is a brief overview of the plots going on right now. The Sorceress's plot is really an all consuming overarching plot that can't possibly be put into words, as there's too much potential for it to be so confined, and so it is not listed.

  • Olympus Coliseum
    • Started by Riorin & Psalm Grasshopper.

      • The Zeus Cup is being held at the Olympus Coliseum. It is the first in a series of tournaments being held in honor of the gods, and heroes from all worlds have come to compete for honor, fame, and prizes.

The god Hades, lord of the underworld, is in disfavor–he is not being recognized or honored in the tournaments. Small disturbances are making it difficult for last-minute hopefuls to sign up, and subtle signs of Pain and Panic hint at sabotaging the entire event before it even starts.

Meanwhile, the sorcerer Balthazar Blake has been requested at Olympus's Temple of Sora, home to the Cornerstone of Fire. Concern is spreading; the artifact seems to be dimming... Notoriously hard to get a hold of, there is no guarantee Balthazar will even arrive.

Psalm & Rio’s Olympus Coliseum Plot of DOOM

It is 8:00 a.m.
((We won’t do table-top style control of time, but we will control it to make things run smoothly. ^_^))

The weather is warm, and a slight breeze can be felt.

Many commercial gummie ships are just arriving, carrying tournament hopefuls, and spectators.

The Coliseum has a reception desk where people may sign up for the tournament. To see if you’re tournament material, a barrel obstacle course has been constructed to test you. The tournament itself starts the next day.

The Cornerstone of Fire has lost some of its luster, and appears to be dimming.

Remember, there are no heartless on this world.

[ Mina : Olympus Coliseum : Gummie Ship (Space) ]

The commercial gummie ship was big for a gummie, but it had limited space to move around. The rows were dedicated to seats, and the seats entirely filled with people. It felt stuffy.

Mina had claimed a window seat; the window, however, was just high enough that she couldn't get a good view while sitting down. The elderly lady next to her gave a glare whenever Mina unstrapped her belt and stood up to look. Meekly, she would sit back down and strap back in. It felt like being in training again. Not that there was anything wrong with training...

A message came over the intercom. They would be landing soon, please make sure your seatbelts are fastened. There will be some minor turbulence.

This was Mina's least favorite part of the trip. Taking off was fine, but landing? It was so much easier to do when flying your own gummie. As a passenger it was perfectly miserable. She made sure her belt was tight, and grabbed onto the arms of the seat.

[Valser Φ Sampson]

The diminutive moogle sat on his bench, quietly entranced with Sampson's gunblade. He turned his multi-tool around in his paw and carefully readjusted a few gears inside the mechanism. Valser quickly snapped the hilt together, gave the counterweight a three-quarters turn clockwise, and felt all the gears inside come to life with a small whirl. He hefted the blade to look down the small steel sight.

"Well, kupo. That should just about do it. You need to stop bashing the revolver. This gun requires finesse, kupo. Be more careful with the hilt too."

"Yes, well...Tell that to the training dummies. And the other Legionnaires." Sampson said with a hint of a chuckle. "Besides, I hadn't gotten a chance to see ya today. In all seriousness though, we've got some work to do. Apparently, some higher-ups didn't like Mina leaving to go to the Zeus Cup. We're tasked with the adventure of bringing her back. Grab your gear and report to the gummi hanger. I don't foresee any real problems, so it'll be just us, but try to not let your luck ******** everything up?" Sampson punctuated his final sentence with a smirk. He stood up from the wooden workshop bench to give Valser a little noogie, taking great care to ruffle as much fur as he could.

"You're such a bully, Sam." Valser said promptly...as soon as he had left the room. Valser flew past other Lightbearers to his room to get some things. His pendant, and his blade. He scribbled a few quick notes on a scrap of parchment, and drew a small diagram to remind himself for an experiment later. Valser picked up the pace and made it back to the hangar just as Sampson finished clearing and prepping the ship.

[ Mina : Olympus Coliseum : Gummie Ship (Gummie Port) ]

The turbulence was surprisingly minor, but it was there, and Mina had no control over it. Perhaps that was what bothered her most of all... She tightened her grip at every jolt and jostle as the gummie entered the atmosphere. When the gummie had landed, and even after it had remained stationary for several minutes, Mina was still gripping the arms of her chair.

Once again a voice came over the intercom, announcing they had landed, and explaining disembarking procedures. They had arrived at Olympus. Thank you for choosing Shinra Spaceflight.

"Well," Mina said, forcing her fingers to let go of the chair, "that went well!" She said it without a hint of sarcasm, and was absolutely sincere. The elderly woman next to her, who must have noticed the discomfort Mina was in during the landing, gave her a curious look. Mina, free of her seatbelt by now, was entirely oblivious to it.

[Jeanna : Olympus Coliseum : Gummie Ship (Gummie Port)]

Jeanna sat in the back of the crowded Gummie Ship. She was kept to herself as she stared out the window as it made it's way through space. Her mind taking her back in time to when she was a child, to the day and time she was last on a ship such as this. Derek was with her that day. On their way to a new world. A new life. If only she knew then, what she did now. What life had in store for them at the time. That he and the one she grew to love would both be gone soon after....

The girl was jolted out of her memories as the ship made its landing. Jeanna was so deep in her thoughts she hadn't even noticed the announcements of the landing. She only noticed the sudden landing of them making contact with the world. She watched as people started to file out of the ship. After a majority of the people cleared she stood up and took her bow and arrows out of the storage compartment. She put her hood over head as she joined the crowd of people who were leaving the ship.

'Time to get my mind out of the clouds and focus. Locate 'Mina' and aid in whatever is going to happen here...' she thought to herself as she wondered what this Mina maybe like. Only description she got of the person was 'big ears and a tail.'

{Mizu .:. Kleides .:. Streets}

The sound of her feet pounding the pavement was drowned out by the crowd around her. People flew by in a rush, not because of their own speed--in fact, most were walking either sedately or standing still chatting. No, they flashed past her because she was running all-out, dodging around people and market stands as she went.

Her breath burned in her lungs; she'd been running for a while now. But still a grin stretched across her face, and she glanced behind to see if she was being pursued. There was some disturbance in the crowd as the constables tried to get through with none of her agility, but she was widening the gap between herself and them rapidly.

She spotted a perfect opportunity, and gathered herself for a jump. She landed for a split second on one of the awnings for a shop, then bounced off of the awning onto the roof. She bounded across a few buildings and ducked behind a chimney pot, certain of her safety.

"God that was fun," she said as she panted for breath, chuckling a little to herself.

[Valser Φ Sampson]

"Y'all ready up?" Sampson said as he buckled in and prepared the duo for a quick trip to the Olympus. He flipped a few switches inside the cockpit which had so quickly sprung to life with all manner of lights, whirring, and displays.

"So, how do you think Mina will do, kupo?"

"If we get there in time, she's getting disqualified. She knew we had other plans, and she didn't ask for leave. We cannot allow such leave or pardon to everyone, Valser. I'd lose my cushy job, and would never-ever-ever get to see you guys again." Sampson punctuated his last sentence with a childish grin. "In all seriousness though, this isn't the first time she's done this." Sampson sighed deeply and returned the majority of his focus to piloting the gummi ship.

"But....Mina could actually win!"

"And it's a shame she broke the rules, Val. She shoulda just asked."

Val sat there in silence for some time; it was a tense air, a mixture of him not wanting to upset his best friend any more, and of so much to talk about, but no way to say it. So, Valser say in silence, sinking into his seat as the gummi ship hurtled through space.

[ Mina : Olympus Coliseum : Gummie Ship -> Gummie Port ]

Mina's tail moved back and forth anxiously as she stood in line. Two hours wasn't a terrible amount of time to wait, and was actually pretty fast for a commercial gummie going from Kleides to Olympus. Still, the Legion's gummie ships were a great deal faster. Not only did they have better technology, they also held a lot less people, and right now she seemed to be smooshed between people. Everyone around her was taller than she was. She couldn't see a thing!

[Jeanna : Olympus Coliseum : Gummie Ship -> Gummie Port]

Jeanna continued to move silently through the crowd as they all filed out of the ship. As worried as she was on her assignment, but she was more curious as to what this new world was like. Jeanna had only been to two worlds in her life, Baron, where she was born and vaguely remembered. Then Kleides, where she lived now. She heard stories of other worlds from her brother when he when he came back from his mission with the Legionnaires. Now she was going to be able to see one for herself.

Without thinking, Jeanna started to quicken her steps, so she could get off of the ship quicker. Though it did little good in the crowd, she only bumped into more people. Jeanna let out a sigh as she slowed her pace once more. When she did, she bumped into a large man who in turned knocked her into a little child (Mina), at a force that it was possible she had knocked the little one over. Jeanna paused as she leaned over who she knocked down. She would have felt guilty if he or she were hurt.

"Hey there, little one," she asked in a gentle voice, "Are you alright?"

[ Mina : Olympus Coliseum : Gummie Port ]

Another world, another adventure! Mina could tell, even with all the people around her, that it was a beautiful day. The early morning sunlight showered them all, and the freshness of the air contrasted with the stuffiness she had experienced inside the ship. She felt free out here, although she was more squished now than she had been on board the ship.

There! A gap! Seeing a chance to break free, Mina tried to maneuver her way through, but as she was going someone bumped into her with enough force to knock her down. She hit the ground and saw feet moving all around her. Her first instinct was to immediately jump back up in order to avoid being accidentally trampled, but a soft voice over her kept her from doing so. The crowd moved around them, giving them a little room.

"Oooh, I'm okay," Mina said, taking in this stranger, and noting the bow. She put a hand to her head and laughed apologetically. "Sorry for tripping you up, there!"

"It is okay," Jeanna said as she shook her head, "I should be the one saying sorry. I was the one who bumped into you."

She looked down at the 'child' carefully, noting the ears and tail. She didn't seem like a child at all. More adult-like. She was just a mouse. Which made Jeanna wonder.

"I am sorry to be nosy, but are you Mina?" she asked the strange creature.

Uh oh. If she knows, then she's a member of the Legion.

Mina didn't realize she was holding her breath. Was the Legion really looking for her already? It had only been a few hours; their response time sure did go up. And Mina thought she had been pretty sneaky, too. . . She had even made a faux image of herself, and stuffed it under her covers back in her room at headquarters. Her bedroom door had a note on it that said, "Please do not disturb."

"I, uh," Mina said, unsure of how to respond. She couldn't lie. That was just wrong. After a moment of opening and closing her mouth without any words coming out, she just said it. "Yes."

[ Orielle : Olympus Coliseum : Path to the Temple of Sora > The Temple of Sora ]

The sun was beaming and the breeze was warm yet cool, brushing verdant leaves across the neatly paved path that lead to the Temple of Sora, which lay near the edge of a high cliff. There were large, lush green trees lining the path, with branches fluttering eerily in the gentle winds.... Alluringly, as if they were calling for travelers to venture into their midsts.

'Something's wrong.'

There was only one, however, who was taking the trek up to Sora's temple. Whether the lone number was due to the early hours or the strange infllux of monsters in this neck of the woods, who knew. Though rumours were spreading that the priests were sending visitors away.... Something about the Cornerstone.

'Where the hell are all the pilgrims?...'

She was right to wonder. As early as it may be, many devotees woke up before Helios rode his chariot across the sky; it was very strange for her to be the only one heading towards the Temple of Sora when all the others had already gathered crowds. Though the commerical gummies would only have just landed, there was a tournament starting soon, so the world was bustling with excitement.
Unlike the lone traveler.

As she reached the temple entrance, the young woman paused for a second and cocked her head to the side, examining the colossal pillars, mosaic floors and vast expanse of space behind a pair of smoke-lensed aviators. Everything was pristine and white and huge... If you hadn't been raised in a mansion ten times the size.
Clearly unimpressed, she snorted under her breath and waltzed right into the compound, completely ignoring the priest who hurried after her, begging for her to stop and leave.

The young man was too kind to physically force her back; a good thing, considering he'd never be able to do it. As she strode deeper and deeper into the temple, her boots clicked on the floor in regular, fast beats. Even the sound of her shoes seemed proud. It didn't take long for her to catch the murmurs of a heated argument; a noteworthy feat, considering all the other priests who had approached her, trying to get her to turn back.
Something was definitely wrong.

"He's not coming! Don't you see? We're not even sure he got the message..." "He's a Master Sorcerer! Of course he got the message. He'll come; he knows how important this is." "There was no point asking him! And don't pretend like he shows up here every sunday afternoon. You know as well as I that he's as reclusive as a-" "Well what, do you that the Legion could do a better job??" "No, I-" "He was trained by Merlin himself! That man knows more about Cornerstones than anyone. By the Gods, he's our only hope." "Then why isn't he here? Why hasn't that magician dared to show his fa-"

"Sorcerer," pierced a voice, seeping with anger.
Both him and his companion gaped at the intruder, who had removed her sunglasses and held them, still extended, to her side. Their eyes fell to that very hand, then to her face - she was pissed as hell - then back to her hand.
"Balthazar Blake is a Sorcerer, not a magician. Now stop arguing like a pack of mangy mutts, and show me the Cornerstone."

Fumbling apologies, they motioned for the other priests that had gathered, confused, to disperse. One of the two men who had been arguing approached her, looking hopeful. "Y-you're here. You've come! But Balth-" "Has met with some delays. In the mean time, bring me whoever's in charge of this dump, because I did not-" she paused to place a hand on a jutted hip "-come all this way to hang around and listen to a bunch of tossers b***h and whine about their inability to protect a glass ball," she glowered, leaning forward and digging the side of her now folded shades into the man's chest. "Now where is the person who is supposed to be calling the shots around here?"

"Here," said the other man, his voice hoarse and cold. Her clothes were not of their world, and he didn't take kindly to being criticized in his 'own' temple by anyone, least of all a precocious foreigner. "So why..." she started again, this time turning towards him, "... are we standing around?" she asked, now smiling. An action which just made her just that much more frightening.
He started to speak, but then stopped (a wise choice) and instead turned, his mouth a thin line, motioning for her to follow. "It's this way.... Just up ahead...."
