Isabella had been up since the early morning, cleaning and keeping herself busy. The older help usually took over cooking and the kitchen, so she got stuck with the living quarters, entertainment rooms, and bathrooms. Ugh….that was the worst. But she put on a happy face. It was best to do it early, that way when the Master woke up, it would be to a clean bathroom. As she scrubbed the floor her mind wandered wondering about her parents, where they were, and what they were doing right now. Of course, they no longer walked among the living, but she believed they were still by her side. Her dark blue eyes glistened slightly with tears, but she blinked them back, putting herself into her work even more, finishing up within twenty minutes, the bathroom sparkling. Grinning as she stood up from the floor, her knees a bit red from being on the floor in the maid uniform of a conventional black and white dress with apron, although hers was a bit shorter than the other’s thanks to her sewing skills. But this was the price she had to pay, for wanting to be just a bit different from the rest.

Grabbing her bucket of cleaners she exited the bathroom and turned off the light, closing the door gently, heading to the next bathroom. Yes, the Manor had three bathrooms in all. One downstairs, which she had already cleaned and two upstairs, one closer to the old Master and Missus’s room, which was now clean, and the one where the new Master of the house slept, right across the hall. That would be the last one, and then she’d have to wait for him to awaken to clean his room, and lightly dust the others, having already completed the entertainment room downstairs. Wiping the beads of sweat from her forehead she swept her bangs to the side once more, arriving at the bathroom and opening the door, flicking on the light.
“Alright…last one and then we’ll almost be done.”

Although she was born into servitude, she had her own free time, thankfully, and that was what she looked forward to most. Being outside in the freedom, lying in the flowers, and feeling freedom, not having to do anything, and simply feeling the wind through her hair, and staring up at the heavens. She soon went to work in the bathroom, starting with sink and counter, then the tub and wall, the toilet, and the floor once more. She had a pattern to her cleaning, what she determined was the quickest and most efficient way to clean. Wiping everything down with her cloth, it didn’t take long to find herself on her knees once more, scrubbing away at the floor her hands lost in the bubbles as she slid along the soapy floor to get into each corner, soon humming a song most wouldn’t know.

Zack was wide awake now. He had just finished taking a shower. He had the costume of waking up early ever since he was a little kid, even on weekends, like today. Today was Saturday, which meant it was day off for the servants of the manor. He wasn't the type to push them around and feel superior. He liked treating his servants with respect and as equals. He had been taught by his parents that no matter the social status, everyone is an equal and they deserve respect.

He quickly finished taking a shower and was now all set for the day. He was planning on going to the graveyard since today was his parent's death anniversary. He had come to love them very much, and he knew most of his servants too. They had always been humble and nice to everyone. He knew that today and tomorrow was everyone's day off and so, he didn't expect seeing anyone working on anything, maybe except for the cooks, but they usually baked on their own. Not on Zack's request. Though, there was one person who he thought might be working around the house and not because she enjoyed working, but because she probably forgot it was Saturday. Isabella. he thought as he sighed. He had gotten an almost instant liking to her when he first met her back when both of them were introduced to each other when they were little kids.

When Zack was done taking the shower and all ready to leave the house, he went downstairs towards the kitchen to have some breakfast, but as he walked he head someone humming a song he had heard once during a conference with the son of duke from Spain. Zack was taught to talk various languages such as: German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and of course, English. Anyways, Zack walked towards the place where he heard the humming from. A small smile forming on his face. The smile became slightly more obvious as he approached and finally saw Isabella humming it.

"Good morning Miss Velius. You are aware that today is Saturday. Right?" he asked her as he looked at her. He had always admired her beauty. He thought she was a very beautiful lady naturally. She wasn't one of those women who over did their makeup. That's one of the things he admired from her. The other one was her hard work.

Isabella was pulled out of her work by Zack, the new Master of the house. Blushing she giggled softly and shrugged her shoulders. “I’m sorry…It slipped my mind. You know you get so used to it, it becomes a habit…” She was nearly done though, and it bothered her to leave it unfinished. Wetting the sponge absentmindedly she cleared her throat. “I’ll just finish this up and leave everything else for Monday..Sir.” She was still getting used to calling that. They were practically the same age, and had grown up together. She couldn’t respect him the same way she had his parents, but she had to because it was her job. Besides that he was a heartbreaker in the looks department and every time she saw him, her heart sped up. Glancing down to the floor, she quickly finished the corner she needed to finished and stood up, gathering her bucket and cleaning supplies, unable to fully look him in the eye due to her embarrassment. What was he doing up so early anyway?

Taking a deep breath as she got closer to the door way, she bit her bottom lip, growing nervous, she tried to avoid him due to her confused feelings, but it was a bit hard as they lived in the same house. Unfortunately for Isa, today seemed to be her unlucky day. A part of the floor hadn’t fully dried yet, and as she walked through the water she took her next step and felt her shoe slide, a look of horror passing over her usually serene features, knowing what was about to happen. Shrieking her bucket fell, the soapy water splashing through the air, rewetting the floors, and herself as she attempted to regain her balance, failing and ultimately, toppling into him. Remaining silent, she lifted her head slowly and let out an embarrassed chuckle, color rising into her cheeks once more, his shirt now wet and soapy thanks to her, the only thing coming to mind was the fact that she had officially ruined her chances at anything.
“Master Zack…..I’m….Sorry. This is all my fault.” Becoming upset, her eyes filled with tears, and she lowered her head once more, not wanting him to see her cry. After all, it was her fault, so why would anyone feel sorry for her?

"It's alright. At least I know you work really hard." he said with a slight chuckle. His face had lightened up when he saw Isabella's face. She had something in her that radiated and made him happy. Something that caused Zack to blush often sometimes. He had grown a crush on her a few years ago. Both of them had grown practically together, and so they got along very well. The only bad part about it was that he wasn't sure if she liked him back, falling for a "peasant" was against the protocol, and two, he didn't want to ruin their frienship just in case she did not like him back.

When Isa slipped and fell with all the water that was now splashed and spread all over the floor, he couldn't help but chuckle slightly. Then, whe she fell to the floor, he quickly wanted to rush and help her out, but as he tried, the water had fallen on him as well, and Isabelle too. "A-are you okay?" he asked her blushing slightly. It got her nervous having her so close to him. "It's not your fault. Accidents happen." he told her with a reassuring smile. When he saw Isabella sad and even crying, he got himself depressed slightly. "Hey,.... please don't cry... " he told her as he brought her into an embrace. Zack had always cared deeply about Isabella. He remembered one time, back in elementary school, some boys were bullying Isabella and he had stood up for her. Of course he had gotten beaten up because it was three boys against one of himself, but still. At least he had managed an agreement for the guys to stop annoying her back then.

Zack was blushing slightly more as he hugged her, but he didn't care. He wanted to cheer her up. Even if he wasn't sure if his hug would help her, but he was taught by his mother that hugging was always the best remedy for a sad heart or mind. Zack then carefully whiped off her tears with his finger tip and gave her a slight reassuring smile.

'I'm such a klutz...' Isa couldn't believe she had officially made the biggest oopsie ever, and with him. But she couldn't help be somewhat happy it happened because she was able to be close to him, and with an excuse. To feel his fingers caress her cheek as he wiped away her tears. But she knew it couldn't last forever. She would be living in a dream if she actually thought he would have feelings for her. She was a maid, a servant, she didn't qualify for the position of Missus. Letting out a soft sigh she gave a nod, and removed herself from him, picking herself up slowly, and carefully moving around the bathroom to pick up her scattered supplies.
"So much for almost being done. Now I've got to get everything dry, including myself."

Managing to pick up everything without incident she walked to the doorway, glancing back at him before sighing once more, unable to believe what she had done."I'll got get some towels okay?" Walking down the hall she went to the linen closet and grabbed two towels, leaving her bucket and supplies within back in their shelf, and returning to the bathroom, she set one towel on the floor to begin drying and she wrapped the other one around Zach's shoulders, smiling sweetly. "So...where were you going all dressed up today?"

Drying up the rest of the floor, she stood up, and offered him her hand, to help him up as well, hoping the whole incident would be forgotten, especially since no one else had seen or heard anything. Other wise, they'd all be talking about her and how she wasn't a good servant for their Master, that would be the worst since she really did try, she just tended to get lost in his eyes, and his voice. He was perfection to her, and yet, she couldn't have him, because it wasn't allowed, because it wasn't the norm. Sometimes she hated her heart.

Zack's mood change was drastically changed by Isa's question. He was reminded once more he was going to see his parents at the graveyard for their sixth death anniversary. He looked down a bit as he grabbed the towel and used it to dry his hair. He sighed as he ceased drying his hair and looked at her with dreadful eyes.

"To the graveyard... Today is their sixth anniversary...." he said in a mournful tone. He took her hand and stood up. "Thank you. I'll leave you alone now so you can enjoy what's rest of the morning and the day... " he told her as he bowed to her like a proper gentleman, and then left back to his room with the towel wrapped around his shoulders. He was obviously now depressed. He didn't blame his depression on Isabella. She was just asking an innocent question out of curiosity. Once he reached his room, he changed clothes onces more putting on some other semi-formal attire.

Once he was done getting ready again, he headed downstairs and to the kitchen. He prepared himself some toasted bread and ate it quickly. He got out his wallet and stared at the picture he had on it of his parents and himself as a child. He smiled slightly as he admired and recalled that moment. The three of them looking so happy. He was hoping Isabella wasn't feeling guilty for making him depressed. Sometimes, when he felt depressed like now, he hoped he had someone special that would cheer him up. If only Isabella were my gilfriend... I wish there was something like a sign that would tell me how she feels about me... he thought with a sigh. He had once written a song for her.

She couldn’t believe she’d actually forgotten what the date was. She was so oblivious some times. Sighing softly she watched him leave her to go change, and as she continued drying the floor, she thought of the past, and happy Jake used to be. He put on a good front, and although six years had passed since the passing of the Master and Missus, he still missed them extremely. Of course, it was normal, her own parents had passed away four years before his, and it had taken a long time for her to get over the fact that they were no longer by her side physically. Drying up the last of the puddles she sat against the wall, her dark blue eyes staring up at the ceiling, she had to do something to cheer him up, she couldn’t bear to see him sad, her heart tugging at her to find a way to console him. Unsure of what she was going to do exactly, she picked up the wet towel, leaving the bathroom sparkling clean and tossed the towel down the laundry shoot, making her way to her own room, and closing the door behind her.

Once within the privacy of her own room she let her hair down. The long brown burgundy locks falling just past her shoulders, framing her face delicately. She hated wearing it up, but it wasn’t exactly the best idea to be cleaning on your hands and knees with hair in your face. She liked to remain somewhat presentable even though she was cleaning, she never knew when Jake was going to come around, and she didn’t want to look like a crazed animal. Removing her wet uniform she tossed it down her own personal shoot, where she would have to go later and wash it. Scampering into the bathroom she turned on the water in the shower and after getting it to the perfect temperature she hopped in, hoping to come out a new and cleaner person to impress Jake.

After to possibly thirty minutes she was out of the shower with a towel on her head and wrapped around her frame. Sighing, happy she was clean she walked into her quarters and began to rummage through the clothes she owned, looking for something demure yet stunning. Thankfully, her mother had made her plenty of clothes before she passed, and with the knowledge of sewing that Isabella had she was able to adjust them accordingly to still fit her, so she had plenty to choose from. Taking out a white dress with green trim she smiled. Green had been on of her mother’s favorite colors. She grabbed her pair of white heels, and set them gently on the bed with the dress, moving to her small jewelry box she pulled out a pair of Jade earrings which had been her mother’s, and slipped them through the empty holes in her ears. Then she slid with ease into the dress, zipping up the back, and setting the heels on the floor, she stepped into them. Sighing contently, she removed the towel from her hair, letting fall in waves to her shoulders, running her fingers through it gently before, taking a look at herself in the mirror. If she didn’t hurry she would miss Jake, of course, she had no idea, he was still downstairs, and she was planning of catching him at the cemetery.

Hurrying out of her quarters, she moved as quickly as possible in her heels towards the front door, passing the entrance to the kitchen she froze, seeing him standing there, staring at a photo. Taking a few steps back she put on her best smile and walked to his side, hugging him ever so gently, hoping it wasn’t being too friendly. She just couldn’t help but be happy to see him, and sometimes it got the best of her.
“Umm…..I was wondering if you’d like my to join you today Sir….I mean….Jake.” Smiling up to him she glanced down at the picture he held and sighed. She remembered the photo well. In fact, although she wasn’t the main focus, to the left corner she was hiding behind a bush, and after the camera had flashed she had popped out and nearly tackled Jake in excitement back when they used to play together, before things got odd with the whole him becoming the Master of the house. Shaking away the memories she glanced up at him again. “Well? What do you say to my company?”

Zack snapped out of his mind when he felt a gentle, soft, and warm touch. He quickly closed his wallet and placed it back on the back of his pants and then turned to see who it was that was hugging him. A slight smile appeared on his face when he realized it was Isabella. He had always appreciated and enjoyed her company. Back when they were still toddlers, Isabella and himself used to play all the time. Unfortunately, they had to stop when his parents died. He had to leave for meetings and to take full ownership of the manor, to which he is now master of. He owns various territories around the area.

Zack smiled a bit wider, but his smile still relatively small, when he noticed how beautiful Isabella was looking right now. She always looked beautiful to him, but now that she was wearing a white dress, she looked even more splendid. Not, that she required a dress to look splendid. He nodded when she asked if she could accompany him. "Thank you.." he said in a low yet soft tone. He had always been gentle on what he did or said. Specially with Isabella. Everyone, or at least most of the servants, at the manor knew that he had a crush on Isabella, but they had always pretened like they didn't know. Zack was unaware of this so he had never said anything about it. Actually, the pure fact that Isabella had hugged him and even offered herself to accompany him to the graveyard had made his day better. S-she's being so kind today.... Not that she isn't usually, but... today... Maybe because she knows today is special to me.... I shouldn't be imagining things... he thought with an internal sigh. C'mon man! Invite her over for lunch. Be a gentleman. he thought as he looked at her and took her hand and bowed.

"I would greatly appreciate your company... Isa." he told her with a smile. He used to call her Isa or Isa-chan all the time when they were little kids. "W-would you like to grab some lunch aftewards?" he asked her. It had been a long while now since he and Isa hand hanged out together. He was glad they could hang today again. Well, if she wanted to. He wouldn't be surprised if she didn't want to. He didn't even know if she had a boyfriend or liked someone. She's so beautiful in the inside and outside. I wouldn't be surprised if she already had a suitor. he thought. Usually, he wasn't this pessimistic, but there was always something about this day that made him be negative and quiet. Not like getting into a bad mood, but yes in keeping everything to himself.

Grinning broadly, Isabella giggled glad he accepted her offer. She didn’t feel like the day should be spent alone, and if she had a choice, she would spend it with him any day. “You know how much I admire and respect you…I would be honored to be in your company for the day, and yes, I would. Let’s just say, I’m all yours for the day. Today is your day.” She felt bad for him having lost his parents and after living with him all her life, she knew when things were bothering him, or hurting him inside, although he was able to hide it well. Of course, her offer wasn’t meant in any way but in a friendly manner, the last thing she wanted was for him to think she was trying to take advantage of him, she wasn’t that type of girl. Clearing her throat she blushed slightly, and tried it again. “Umm…..What I meant was that, I just feel you shouldn’t be alone today, and….I don’t mind offering my company to make you feel better.” That sounded better. Not so….forth-coming.

Taking a deep breath she glanced up at him. “Well, shall we?” Holding out her hand to him, she held his hand gently, and began to walk towards the front, leading him along. That was another thing she had learned about him. He tended to procrastinate, and get lost in his thoughts. But those were the things she loved about him. Of course, thankfully, no one knew of her love for him. Many were the nights that other servants came to her to gossip and tell her of how he looked at her when she wasn’t looking. Especially the older ones who claimed to know everything about love, and that they saw it radiating between the two them, she just shook her head and told them to mind their own business, Jake couldn’t love her because she was his servant, it was a love for a sister, not that of a partner, or a woman and man. Right? Scoffing at the memory, she realized she did it out loud, and her eyes widened. Keeping her gaze low, she reached the door, and opened it, wincing at the light, and taking a step back for her eyes to adjust, deciding to let him take the lead from there, since he was the Master of the house, what would the people say if they saw them holding hands and her walking ahead of him?!

((Sorry for the shortness))

Zack blushed slightly and chuckled at what Isabella had said. "Hey, don't worry. I know what you meant. It's alright. I... I really thank you for what you're doing." he told her with a soft smile. "But,.. I am all yours any day." he told her. He wasn't sure how she would take that, but he would leave that to her. For him, it was his way of telling him that any day she wanted company, he would be there for her, and... maybe even a way to tell her he liked her. Either way, it was left free for interpretation. When she took his hand and led him to the entrance, a small smile appeared on his face. "We shall." he told her. Zack usually didn't smile on this day of the year, but Isabella had always managed to make him smile even on the worst of his days.

"Isabella..., after visiting my parents,...I was wondering if you would like to go eat somewhere with me? You know... as friend?" he said. He wanted to make that clear for he didn't want her to think that he saw her as something more. He did, but he wasnt' sure if she would return the feelings so he rather play it safe. Unless she had gotten the hidden message on one of his previous statements about him being hers any day. I know the day she gets a boyfriend... it will be the day I die in life.... he thought as he sighed quietly. He sighed again when she let go of his hand when they had reached the door. Why did she let go? he wondered. He took her hand again, and led her outside. He blushed slightly but hid it by turning around so she wouldn't be able to see him blush. "I-it gives me support." he told her trying to make up an excuse for him still wanting to hold her hand. He continued to hold her hand as he walked with her towards the exit of the house. Zack had always been fond of walking. He wasn't a materialistic person. He always loved observing nature. He only used the cars when going to a long trip, which was rare. The was partially sunny, with some clouds and wind. It was a pleasant day, or at least Zack thought so. He liked nature, but he wasn't a particular fan of sun. At night, he could always be found by the lake throwing rocks or just walking around. His favorite days where full moon nights, with a starry sky, and wind and clouds. He just loved them.

The graveyard wasn't that far away from the manor. They had been buried nearby on the forest. His parents wanted to be buried close to the house so they could always be close to Zack. Actually, they were buried close to the lake. The walk was only about ten minutes long. Zack remained silent the entire walk for he was remembering his parents. He had a lost look all over his face. Like a lost puppy or child who's looking for a refuge. He didn't cry, but he did stay silent in respect for them. In past years, this day had been worse. Now he acted a bit more accordingly. He usually just knelt by the gravestones, close his eyes, look down at the floor, and stay like that for at leat five minutes. It was like he was paying an omen to them. Once they reached the graveyard, Zack let go of Isabella's hand and looked at her. "I.. I'll be right back." he told her as he walked towards the tombs and did what he usually did quietly.

Isabella gave a nod, watching him go to the marked sites of his parents, sighing softly as she stared out at the lake. Her parents were here as well, but they were on the lake. Their ashes had been scattered on the lake they loved so much, after Isabella had asked permission to do so from the previous Master and Missus. She herself, wandered down the the dock that went out upon the lake and took a seat, removing her heels before letting her feet dangle in the cool water, sighing with contentment. It didn’t take long before she fell into her usual routine of chatting with her family to let them know what had gone on for the day. ”Well, today was certainly not any other day. As I’ve told you before Master Jake gives us the weekend off from cleaning but it doesn’t stick in my mind, and so I was caught by him this morning cleaning.” Chuckling at the memory she shook her head. ” It all ended in this big mess, because I slipped in my hurry to get away from him, I hate it when he sees me sweaty and dirty, and ended up throwing my bucket water all over him and myself! Thankfully, he wasn’t too mad though. Then he told me he was coming out here, and so….I thought to join him. You know how I feel about him, but I can’t bring myself to tell him so.” Looking down at her feet she sighed sadly.

Within in the water the small fish had made their way to her toes and were pecking at them playfully, bringing a smile to Isabella’s face as she began speaking again, completely oblivious as to whether or not Jake had finished. ”He’s just so amazing…he’s gorgeous, he’s nice, caring, has a sense of humor, plus everyone else at the house says he has a crush on me, but what if I tell him and he makes me leave. He may have a girlfriend already. Everyone knows it’s wrong to dream big, perhaps I’d be asking for too much to believe that he had feelings for me.” Tears had welled in her eyes, and she sniffled, blinking them back. “If he rejects me….I’d feel horrible. Plus then he would know, and if he made me leave, I’d never be able to come back to the lake. I’d be….alone. That’s why I can’t tell him. There’s too much at stake… and the odds aren’t in my favor!”

Life wasn’t fair, everyone knew that, so why should she think she should be the exception. Refusing to cry, after all, today was a happy day, she stifled her cries and took a few deep breathes. “ I’m just going to enjoy the day with him. Aprovechar del tiempo. It’s not every day that he asks me to go to lunch with him. Plus….he said he was always available for me. That’s got to count for something right?” Smiling softly, she wiggled her toes, scaring away the small fish and closed her eyes, letting the small waves lap against her feet, imagining they were the arms of her parents, embracing her and telling her, ’ Everything’s going to be okay.’

Zack had praid for his parents. He spoke to them, though not outloud. He did it mentallly. This time he has lasted longer than usual. Mom... dad... You know I love you and that I will always keep you in mind and in my heart. I miss you so much.... How I wish you were here... At least I'm glad Isabella is here with me. She's as beautiful as ever. Dad was right. She was and is the most beautiful flower in the garden. I still can't come to tell her how I feel about her... I woudln't be surprised if she already had a boyfriend. I... I'm also afraid that if I confess I'll ruin our frienship... That is the last thing I want... I have to find the right moment to tell her.... Anyways, I probably bored you guys with my annoying love problems. I just came to tell you that everyone in the mansion still thinks about you and misses you greatly. I shall keep on praying for you. Rest in peace... mom and dad... Zack said as he stood up and stretched a bit. His emotionless face getting some emotion slightly. He cleaned his parent's tombs and placed some fresh flowers next to them.

He then walked towards the lake where he recgonized the silluete as Isabella's. A small smile appearing on his face. The only thing he had heard her say was , "That's got to count for something right?". Zack removed his shoes and sat besides her as he gently placed his feet in the water just like Isabella. He managed to get a bigger smile on his face. "What has to count for something, Isa?" he asked her casually. He decided to leave his sad emotions behind for now for he was about to spend the rest of the afternoon with Isabella and of course he wouldn't want to ruin it with his sad and melancolic mood. "Are you okay?" he asked her. He noticed her silence and her almost emotionless face at the moment. "I hope you're hungry." he told her smiling at her as he stared onto her eyes. He could stare at them all day and never get tired of them. He loved her blue-violet eyes. So much beauty contained in a single person. I have to tell her how I feel.... I-I'll tell her after lunch how I fell about her. Defenitely. Yeah, that's what I'll do. he thought as he admired her beauty and every single detail in her fair and beautiful face.

Isabella stared at him, stunned for a moment. ’How much had he heard her say?’ Fearful, and flustered, she found herself with her jaw dropped, and quickly closed her mouth, smiling nervously and tucking her hair behind her ear. ”Umm…Nothing?” ’Yeah right Bella…..Nothing counts for something? Come on! Think.’ Clearing her throat she decided to change the subject. ”Oh…Yeah, I’m fine. Sorry, I was just talking with my parents, you know I scattered them on the water after your parent’s gave me permission. Sometimes I think they’re one of the only reasons I stayed here after they passed.” The other reason being able to see him. Looking up at him, she caught him watching her, and her own deep blue eyes got lost in his dark ones staring at him, wishing to see some clue as to how he felt about her, and finding nothing.

Blushing as she realized she had been staring back at him, she lowered her head and felt a bit faint. Who knew a day could get to be so hectic so early? Tracing back she was sure she’d heard him ask her a question. ’If she was hungry…’ Well if she had her own choice she would sit here with him all day. Nodding her head she smiled gently. “Yeah….I’ve got an appetite. What are you in the mood for?” Keeping herself distracted to not get lost in his black eyes again she grabbed her shoes and pulled her feet out of the water, letting them air dry for a moment before sliding on her shoes, waiting for him to stand before offering her hand to be helped up.

Once they were on their feet she dusted herself off slightly and cleared her throat, staring out at the water for another moment longer before blowing a kiss to the air. ’ Miss you guys…Cross your fingers for me.’ Grinning she turned around and stared at Zack, and grabbed his hand, quickly making up an excuse as to why she wanted to hold his hand. ” I’m your support, remember?” If only he knew how much she truly wanted to be his support and he hers. Beginning to walk she brought him along with her, and leaned against him slightly, smiling, at him wondering if the sensation he was making her feel was truly meant to be told. In fact, she was feeling as if the moment was now, and she wouldn’t be surprised if her parents had something to do with it, she stopped walking and tugged him back, a different look in her eyes as she stared at him, amazed at his features and black eyes every time she stared into them. They were never ending and full of understanding. “Zack…..I….I have to tell you something before this goes any further.”But would she lose her nerve before she could tell him how she truly felt?

"Ah, I see. I like talking with my parents too... Makes me feel they're still around. The only reason I don't sell the mansion is because here's where I grew up and lived with them... and also because it is here where I met you." he told her with a shy smile as he blushed slightly. "I wouldn't want you to go away." he confessed. He couldn't believe he was telling her this, but he had to give her hints somehow that he really did like her and would want to be more than friends. Even if she doesn't return my feelings... I have to tell her like I feel. I have to let this emotions out. It feels as if I were hiding something really bad from her. he thought as he looked at her with a soft gaze.

When she asked him about what was he in the mood for, he had to think about it. Zack was quite picky when it came down to his food. It was a trait he wished he didn't have, but he couldn't do anything about it. He had tried eating anything and everything, but at the end he couldn't do it. When he was a toddler, his parents and the chefs always had a hard time with him when it came down to eating. Italian? Nah, we had spagettii last night. Lobster? No. Hmm,... I know! Sushi! he thought. "How do you feel about sushi? I heard it was very good." he told her as he looked up at the sky and placed his hand right over his eyes in an extended form to create some shade. It was a bright day after all. Once Isabella stood up and placed back on her shoes, he did the same. A smile spread across his face when she held his hand. "Right. Thank you." he told her when she said it was for support. Even if this is just for support, I get to hold her soft hand. he thought happily as he was ready to start walking. He was slightly surprised by it, but what the hell. They were holding hands! He remembered when Isa and him used to be younger, everyone in the manor teased him about liking Isabella. Back in that time, he hadn't fully realized his feelings for her so he had denied them and even had called Isabella stupid. He chuckled slightly at the memory for he had even told her she had cuties.

Isabella's next sentence catched his attention and had him quickly snap back to reality. What could it be that it had caused Isabella to be so serious now? What would she want to tell him? "W-what is it?" he asked her. He was slightly for what it could be. Would she tell him she was going to leave the manor and go build her own life somewhere? Was she getting married? Was she sick? Was she gonna die? Did she hate him? What was it? That single statement she had told him was already killing him. What could it be?! he wondered as he looked at her with a baffled and concerned face.

Isabella stared at him, her heart fluttering in her chest as she stared at Zack. She felt she could see every emotion that passed through him with the simple phrase she’d made. Feeling her chest rising up and down the sun, bearing down on her she took a few steps and held his hands in his, hearing the lapping of the waves of the lake against the dock, encouraging her. “I….I’ve been keeping a secret for a very long time from a lot of people.” If there was one thing she remembered more clearly than anything else about Zack’s mother it was that she always said it was never good to keep secrets, because if you didn’t tell anyone, no one could help you, or share the same feeling. That was her goal, for his to share her feelings. Sighing she stared at him, sure he was probably dying inside with his nerves and curiosity. “You have no idea….This is something very important to me, but I’m so…scared to tell you.”

Smiling at him, she decided to take a chance, after all, he didn’t seem like the type to kick her out if he didn’t feel the same. “ You see, for a really long time….a really long time I’ve been in love, well what I think is love, I’ve never loved someone before with a certain person who resides in the house. He’s so cute, and respectable, funny, compassionate, he’s the perfect goy.” She knew that wasn’t going to be enough to be considered a confession, she knew plenty of other male servants who Zach could easily think she was talking about. Smiling at him, she took a small step closer, never letting go of his hands. “ We’ve known each other forever Zack, and I remember so many things, but I don’t want something to slip by that might have been my chance at happiness. I don’t want to always wonder what if. I want you to know that I have feelings for you. More than just friends Zack, I…..I Love you.”

Her eyes widened, shocked she’d been able to say it so easily, and at the relief she felt after saying it. Her grip on his hands loosened as she felt slightly light headed. “ I understand if you don’t feel the same way. I just, I couldn’t hold it in any longer.” A blush rose up on her cheeks, and she chewed on her bottom lip nervously, a bad habit she had, as she awaited an answer, the seconds seeming to take forever as the constant lap of the waves against the dock changed from encouragement to ridicule, her heart beginning to race as she grew nervous, she’d been so sure of herself, and now she’d possibly ruined the best friendship she had, the very thought causing tears to well up in her eyes as she awaited his response.
