Joining the pride is a complex process, unless you meet a colonist. Traditionally, most species end up sent to the Sanc or the Colonies, however, all will usually be brought to the Aristocracy to review-- not for the sake of mockery but to be studied for looks.
Lions, and only lions except in few cases, are studied as new family possibilities and to contribute to the Aristocracy. Families will not be seperated, unless there are hybrids involved. Only fertile lion hybrids may be aristocrats. Only lions may breed with lion-hybrid aristocrats. Ever. Hybrids are viewed as 'contaminants' otherwise and as such non-lion hybrids, fertile or not, and the non-lion parent are sent away so the children can be carefully bred back into a 'pure' line of lion.
Aristocrats are also not above cubnapping from any kind of pride to further their family, arrange mates, and other means. If it is a guarded pride, manipulation or large groups may be employed. Really, the Aristocracy has no scruples.

Bio: Born the youngest of two, Usagi lived a rather pampered little life under the watchful eye of her brother and parents. While they were hardly the most well-off family, the attention they lavished on her certainly instilled a sense that with the right amount of sweet smiles and batting lashes, almost anything could be obtained in life. And if that didn't work, get a strong-body (ie, big brother) to threaten it out of life for you. In turn, this most definitely taught her at an early age violence was an answer for everything, despite her parents' best attempts to convince her of otherwise. Recently, she decided to leave behind her childhood home and find a new place for herself. See just how far sweet smiles and batting lashes could really get her...
Personality: Quick to burn, quick to simmer, Usagi is a girl with a temper boiling under all her sweet-talk. Always one for the direct approach, if she has a goal in mind there's very little she'll let sit in her way of accomplishing it. Even if such a mindset does often get her into more trouble than it's even worth. If she needs to flirt to get what she wants, so be it. In fact, that's typically her preferred route, liking to have others do the actual work for her and still let her reap the rewards. But if push comes to shove, she'll get down in the muck herself... you'll just hear her snarling about it the whole time. She'd rather not trample all over you to get the shiny behind you, but don't doubt that she won't try if need be. Or if you were to help her get it, she'd be most appreciative~

Bio: Wondering alone for longer than she can remember, Ngetal was an orphan herself, without family or true friends. Because of this she's always watching out for other orphans in her proper English way.
Personality: Neta is your strict English governess, or at least to those under a certain age. She loves children and believes that the only way to show that love is to be more tough than sweet. She does not remember any family, or even having any family. She is the result of a fling between a noble and a priest.
