[PRP] Out and About (Attn. Nova Cracker)

Marinette bounded around the pride lands like she owned the place it seemed. She had seen quite a lot of it, usually with Jr. at her side, but there was always something new to see. She had found that there were lots of relatives to Hakuna and Jr to visit too. Not all of them seemed to like her, but that was the way of things.

She had been grumbled at by the sitters more than once for causing trouble, but they never seemed to want to tell Roth about it, least not so far. And thus she was out and at it again. Where Jr. was at the moment, she wasn't sure, and she thought she'd left Hakuna not too far back. Of course she wasn't the best at telling time or distance at night just yet.

She was not at all surprised to see another lion in the distance. Who they were or how old, she couldn't tell yet, but at least she could see that someone was there. Her bouncy cheerful voice called out to them, "HELLO!" She continued to approach, hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst.

Marinette bounded over and pounced the male playfully. "Do you want to play with me?!" The excitement in her voice was pure and everlasting. Hakuna had taken her in, mostly because Mari acted so much like Jr. The two of them were such a stark difference to the pride that most of the pride looked at them funny. Cheerful and bubbly was just not the way of the pride and yet these two cubs that were very decidedly demon colors and demon blood were so bubbly and cheerful it was not even funny.

Marinette pounced the male and sat on him. "How about, tag?" She licked his nose and gave him that cheery little grin of hers. She didn't care if it annoyed him. That was rather the point of doing it around her father after all. But she did want to play and her normal partner was not around. "Or we could go catch bugs to kill." She took a moment to lick his nose again. That was just fun to do as far as she was concerned.

Marinette let the male up and purred at him. "Bugs are fun... They scurry away so quickly, but never quickly enough." The little lioness bounced in place, waiting for the male. JR probably would have picked tag or just adventuring, but one had to make due with other company. Mari was just happy that someone wanted to play. This pride could be so stuck up, and down right mean about playing. Like Roth. Stupid Jerkface. She shook her little head to clear it and followed after the male cub with his blue markings.

Mari poked her nose down at the logpile. It looked promising for bug hunting. She hoped it would turn out to have something fun to chase. Algol might be more fun than she thought at first. He certainly had an eye for picking out his prey. The female cub waited and got as close as she thought she could without crowding the male. "Wonder what we'll find..." Her eyes were shining brightly as she watched the logpile.

Mari may have preferred playing with JR, but she was going to give this male a chance and see what happened. If she could get another friend it would be nice. She liked having JR around, since she was much better than her Mari's brother to play with. The little female had been adopted into JR's family by the other cub's mother and it was nice to have a family that she could be herself with instead of dealing with her Jerkface father all the time.
