NOTE: This class/discussion is no longer taught/led by a teacher. However, please feel free to read through it and ask any questions that you may have or express any thoughts/opinions you have. Just please don't ask, "Can I join the class?" Because the answer is 'no'. Thank you.

This is cooking class! The only class where it is encouraged to thell the teacher that you ate your homework! You wont have a lot of homework, but you'll learn plenty of things to try at home. Hopefully I'll teach you as well as I teach my friends, but If you don't understand somthing, you'll have to let me know!!

This isn't going to be all recipies and such. You will have to answer a few questions and you'll have a little homework, but It's worth it in the end.

Sauce pan- small pots, usually used to heat liquids or make single servings.

Stew pot- big, deep pots, somtimes use more than one burner.

Lesson 1: Double Boiling

No, thats not when your cooking two things at once. Double boiling is when you need to heat somthing that can't be boiled in liquids or just cooked in a pot. If you dont have a double boiler, you can use an old coffee can in a pot of water.[/size]

Double boiler, that's like for chocolate right?

A glass pot over a boiling pot seems to work as well.

Thank you Zab, and yes. You cant boil chocolate in water, and you cant just put it in a pot, so you would use a double boiler.

RECIPE TIME!!

Spicy Ramen Soup

Ingredient stuffs
1 package of ramen noodles-any flavor(i prefer Maurchan, but it's up to you)
salt
pepper
lemon pepper
onion salt
Mrs Dash-original blend
Chili powder

1. Fill a small saucepan about 3/4 with water. add Two shakes of lemon pepper, three shakes of onion salt, regular salt and regular pepper. Put it on the stove and wait for it to boil.

2. add your noodles and the flavor packet included, as well as half a cap full of Mrs Dash and chili powder. If you want it a little spicy, add one or two shakes. NEVER add more than five shakes.

3.Boil the noodles and seasonings for ten minutes. Dump some of the broth and put the noodles and the rest of the broth in a bowl. rinse the pot and enjoy!

This is one of my favorites. I dont even need the recipe anymore! Hope you like it as much as I do!
