Kana, some kanji, basic words.) beginner: hiragana, some katakana. some kanji (recognizing english counterpart- i understand that there are onyomi and kunyomi. very basic sentence structures (watashi wa suchirru desu. sushi wa sakana desu. ect..) I have terrible luck with learning to conjugate verbs and adjectives.

List your study habits: I typically learn by incorporating what I know into my free time. If someone can chat with me IN japanese once i'm more proficient, that is how i can learn. to study, I typically like to make my own "examples" and see and observe examples. if memorization is necessary i need to form mnemonic devices :/


Do you plan on taking the JLPT (Japanese language proficiency test) or have you: I will take it after I finish my college basics. it determines the level of classes to start out in- so i want to learn much before taking in!

List your study habits: I use Japanese 5 days a week for an hour straight per day no english allowed... i guess that's a lot? I spend about 7 hours a week on homework.
Do you plan on taking the JLPT (Japanese language proficiency test) or have you: Someday maybe. but I know with a little vocabulary study I'm good for the lowest level of it with no Qualms. I know all the Kanji for level 5

List your study habits: They aren't very good. I learn better when I'm actually talking with a person or interacting. Just reading or writing doesn't do much for me, so it has been a frustrating process.

I have always wanted to learn Japanesse and i have My Japanesse coach, but i keep forgetting to try and learn from it. You dont have to teach me or anything, but if you want, i am more than willing to get on Skype and learn!
