Nikki sat by the water fountain looking around boredom. There really wasn't much to do the lot of them were just cutting 4th period and killing time before they went to hang out at the club.
Her group of friends was not big ( there were only 5 of them) but all had one thing in common. They were all human(something that, in a place like Blue Moon, set you apart all on it's own) and while not exactly the "in-crowd" they were known for being party kids, popular by reputations they had no real control over.
Casey glanced around no doubt looking for someone to occupy her time with, Eliot was making eyes at every girl that strolled by and Saida was smoking a cigarette and looking somewhere between 'zen' and 'bored to hell' and Lizzie was rolling her eyes at Casey and looking like she wished she was somewhere.
Understandable, Nikki thought, she wasn't really part of the group. She was only here because she was Casey's sister.
Her attention was suddenly on Sean as he walked near them, partly because despite the rumors that surrounded the guy (and the fact that he ran the check at her sisters dinner ) she couldn't help but think he was easy on the eyes. (the guy walking with him was no gargoyle either)
Then there was the fact that there was a wolf walking alongside him.
"Would you put your eyes back on before he gouges them out" Saida said rolling his eyes.at the pink-haired girl. Nikki for her part turned to her friend giving her a look that clearly asked for elaboration.
"That guy stays at Brycewayl" Saida said in a low voice referring to the hotel off-campus she and her brother worked in "says his name's Aaron Doyle, doubt he's tellin the truth about it. He's all sorts of weird"
Nikki rolled her eyes at the gossip and returned to her drink, Lizzie didn't even look up from her book.
Casey was the only one interested "everyone in this school's a freak" the older girl said but leaned foward obviously asking for more.
"Not like him" Saida said sharply her eyes darting to Sean before returning to the conversation at hand "he has all these symbols and pictures of dead people in his room, recent ones too. The people who keep going missing. Their pictures are all over his walls,"
"So maybe he studies them" Nikki said with a shrug, though she had to admit even that sounded creepy.
"Yeah, I bet he studies them real nice" Eliot drawled with a smirk causing the girl to smack him on the back of the head.
"Ow! Nik!"
"Don't be gross"
"So he's like, some satanic freak?" Casey said to Saida who just shrugged.
"All I know is, I'm stayin' away from him" Saida said taking a drag of her cigarrete "he's trouble, I'm sure of that"
Lizzie rolled her eyes keeping her eyes on her book and trying to study, she glanced at Sean, her eyes resting on his friend (Fang) for a moment. then onto what she knew was a werewolf. Her hand reached for the silver knife she kept with her, hoping she wouldn't have to use it. The werewolf didn't look aggressive, though it(he? she?) did look agitated.

Kyo glanced at Fang with something between a whine and a growl as he mentioned 'undergarments' her ears flat against her skull. If she was in human form she knew she'd be blushing right now.
Why does this always happen to me, she thought annoyingly, half-thinking of just grabbing whatever clothes she could find and running for it. ( hey, it worked for Sean!)
Hearing voices her ears perked forward as she tensed at hearing what the humans were saying about Sean, she felt righteous fury at the fact that these people knew nothing about her friend and still made assumptions and spread rumors for no reason. They could just ask him about the pictures, she thought baring her fangs in their direction.
Though knowing Sean he'll probably lie about it, she said, taking advantage that as a wolf, humans couldn't hear her.
She then looked up at Sean, who seemed unfazed by what was being said and felt even more annoyed.
How can that not bother you! She near-growled nudging his hand.
((Sorry bout the wait. Been busy with school and stuff))

| Fang laughed at Kyo's response. "Well consider this Sean. How many stores would let two boys walk in with a wolf? Now subtract that number of how many would let us buy girl clothes? And finally subtract the number of stores that would let us two boys buy girl under garments?" He said. Fang shrugged. "That number may be small making it harder to find." |
"I'm proud to say I have no idea" Sean drawled in response to Fang's 'store equation' after all, what man would? He wished he could just take what they needed and make a run for it but if dine n dash didn't sit well with Fang there was no way shoplifting would.
He frowned as Kyo seemed to go from wary to downright hostile. (which the werewolf seldom, if ever, was) and looked over in the same direction that seemed to have her attention,
It was a group by the water fountain, being human, Sean couldn't hear what they said but could guess it managed to upset Kyo.
Looking at the kids though, Sean did have an idea.
Shoplifting might be out, but there were other..more subtle ways to get what they needed.
"down puppy" he said to Kyo flicking the wolf in the forehead "come on I got a plan" he said to both Fang and Kyo giving them a 'follow me' sign before making his way to Nikki and his group.
"hey you lot, got a sec?" he said to one of them as he finally reached the fountain.

Lizzie looked up at Fang's remark feeling something between anger and frustration. Anger because who the hell was he to yell out assumptions about whether or not they wanted them talking to them.
Frustration because she knew he was right.
"Inside voice much" Casey muttered, making Saida and Eliot snicker.
Lizzie rolled her eyes
"Case give it a rest" she said keeping her eyes on her book. She glanced back at the boy who had spoken. She wondered why he had gotten so bent out of shape, they hadn't talked about him really, just Sean(yes she knew his real name, she hadn't said anything to the others because..well, she HATED gossip)
Fang (though at this point she had no clue of his name) seemed older than her, though maybe younger than Sean.
Wonder if he takes any of my classes...
"Tell me you're not looking at him" Casey said giving her sister a look "you're already friends with vampires and that looser you call a brother..."
"He is not a looser!" Lizzie said "would you just shut up and leave me alone already, I didn't even want to come"
"She's just sulking cuz that guy thinks she's like you" Saida said to Casey exhaling as smoke tendrils went upwards, she then talked to Lizzie "he's not the one with the fake credit card and the gun, Lizzie if you wanna talk to him you can"
"She can not!"
Lizzie rolled her eyes at the two girls annoyed at being caught staring at Fang and turned her back on them sitting the other way and keeping her eyes on her book. Sean was trouble, her brother had warned her about him, She'd help him out but trusting him was another issue.
Fang looked like good company.
"H.H. Holmes 2 o clock" Eliot whispered as Sean addressed the group.
Then again, she thought, a horde of ghouls looks like good company right about now.
"Leave?" Casey said her eyes slanting. Nikki rolled her eyes at the girl who seemed to just like to be a b---- like it was some sort of sport. "don't you have a grave to dig?"
The group's reaction to Sean's approach was as varied as it was instant. Eliot looked at Sean like he both wanted to run and ask him 20 questions. Saida's eyes were slanted as she moved closer to her brother though hers unlike Casey were in suspicion and distrust rather than open disdain(like Casey's), though both were judgmental in their own right,
Nikki looked slightly annoyed thou not as wary as Saida or as hostile as Casey. Lizzie had turned her back to them all and was pointedly ignoring everyone.
