Kard let out a sigh as he moved across the dessert at a much slower than a pace he had hoped for. He had set up another meeting with his sister and was eager to get to her camp. Well... set up isn't quite the word. He wanted to surprise her with a birthday gift.

Every one in the gang knew Kard, so he wasn't worried about showing up. It was the getting there that was troublesome.

It was more of a relief that Knight's glitch was fixed. Knight didn't freeze after his sonic roar...

"well... this is great..." He sighed and ran his fingers nervously through his red hair. "Knight... where are we?"

The Giga Gojulas mumbled, but left him no comment on his screens.

Little did they know they were quickly approaching Marcia and Catastrophe's position...

Fortunate for Kard he looked just to the side of Marcia's location as she lept from the cliff. No doubt seeing something like that would have given him a heart attack.

Knight had been dozing off, without his pilots knowledge, to notice Marcia either. However, he did pick up the feint signal of two Dr. Fox brand Experiments.

Lazily he signaled Kard. The beep caused the oblivious adult to nearly leap out of his seat.

"Ack! What? What is it?!" Kard huffed as he looked around. Though their signature was displayed on the screen, their exact location was not. The regular radar was used for that, and it didn't show much.

Knight was equipped to sense and and all Dr. Fox experiments. Kard was often out finding them and checking up on their status and taking notes for his father. It was his 'job' around the house.

Kard's eyes widened as he watched the slow rise of the aggressive bio ZOID. He recognized that wild experiment. In fact he had added a few touches to it before it escaped.

"Uh... N-Knight..." He studded and pulled back on the controls.

Knight, on the other hand, 'yawned' at the display. He than continued on his path, showing Kard the usual checklist on his monitors when they saw an experiment. Casually check marks begun to appear over some of the listed items.

"T-thank G-god Cross isn't here...." He eyed the bone creature than the list.

Kard gripped the controls tightly and shook a bit. It was very convenient that Knight had opposite the personality of the pilot...

Knight turned toward the ZOID lazily when it readied its missile. The two arm extensions on its back readied themselves in case the missile was launched. Like the berserk Furher, these extensions were capable of firing a powerful beam. Detonating the missile before it left the ZOID would have consequences for the bearer.

And if that wouldn't do it, there was the usual method of dealing with experiments. Though, it was only to freeze them while the escape was made. Knight did not like to fight...

Kard glanced to the screen as "core shot ready" appeared. He frowned. The red headed pilot -hated- battles more than Knight did. And honestly he wasn't very skilled at it, fixing and upgrading ZOIDs was much different than actual combat... Knight did all the fighting.

Kard recognized the voice over them com... from the bar? He over heard something about a chance game or something.

"Uh..." Kard blushed as well reconizing the voice to be female. DARN his father and his sheltered life... "Y-yeah... um... just doing a routine um check.." Knight shook his head at the response and Kard responded by slapping the controls. "f-fine here... and you?"

He face palmed. Well, this was smooth.

"W-what?" Kard's eyes widened. No one was supposed to know about that. "I'm an only child... I said I w-was doing a routine check. For work..." He hated to disown his sister, but he had promised her that he wouldn't associate with her with people other than the gang. It made him feel like his father, disowning her.

Knight watched the ZOID back up. Slowly his arm extensions folded to his side, but the core shot was still armed and ready to fire in a moments notice.

Other than that the ZOID showed no more aggressive gestures toward the bone ZOID.

Kard leaned back in his chair and shook his head. It was hard not to act as he did around his older sister. He missed her all the time and was excited to see her when he got to...

He let out a sigh. Lying to a lady was not very gentleman like... She didn't seem like the kind to talk to his father anyways, perhaps he was safe.

"W-well..." He bit his lip. It was like talking to an over bearing mother, or a nagging older sister. "W-why were you watching us?"
Perhaps a spotlight reversal would work!

Knight glanced at Catastrophe with his display. He still seemed the least interested and even gave another yawn.

At this point Kard wished for something to happen, anything, that would get him out of this awkward situation with this rogue. He wished that maybe Fox would show up and bail him out of these 'hell's 20 questions'. Not to mention he was still blushing.

He tapped the com controls, softly so that it wouldn't affect anything. He was debating just fleeing. He would be late at this rate in any case.

"I-I..." He frowned. He started the response and now he had to finish it. "I sent some equipment out to survey the area..." He pressed hard against his seat. Hopefully that would be all the questions.

Knight's tail swayed once, but fell still once again. He had a few of his own tricks that could be used to take down the beast long enough for escape... Knight just did not want to fight. And he was prepared to defend his pilot. It was his job.
