[OOC] Weekly Pride Announcement Rules and Form: New Update!

We have opened up a thread specifically for our metaplots! This is where we will be keeping track of our yearly metaplots. Old and new members will have a nice, organized place to read up on the happenings of the pride to familiarize themselves with the history of the pride.

That said- we are plotting this year’s metaplot! If there is something that you would like to see in the next meta, please let us know in the pride’s OOC discussion area and we’ll see what we can do about arranging something that everyone can enjoy.

Announcement: The Tokakinji open pride event will be kicking off soon! Anyone interested in joining should check the Tokakinji event thread in the pride's section of the guild! It will be taking place largely in the rogue lands, and is open to everyone! Pride recruitment is open to lions! Any prides that wish to plot with the Tokakinji are more than welcomed to contact Lithia_Brandon.

There is also a custom contest open for the pride in the Events forum of the guild!

Also, the rank of 'soldier' has been changed to 'knight' as it should have been from the start, but Lithia derped.

Just a reminder to pride members. Be sure that you are reading all the rules regarding breeding within the pride before posting those forms! Right now, we want to make it easy as possible without that many loopholes to jump through. All we ask is you follow the rules so we can maintain the owner's list.

• Remember- the rules for cubs have changed! ALL cubs must stay with their mother until they are old enough to leave. Once a cub reaches his or her adol stage, you must make a note of their leaving or of their gypsy name in the member update list. Your kizi cannot breed until they have a gypsy name!
• Please remember that if your Kizi member has cubs and you do not post the litter in the member update thread, the couple will be restricted from breeding again.

All this info is clearly posted. If this continues to be a problem there will be in-character consequences and perhaps restrictions on hit-and-run breedings. Remember, the Kizi are trying to remain somewhat elusive. They need their numbers and they would not just let cubs get past their patrons to go play in the wild with rogues and possibly expose them.

Due to my own life becoming a bit unmanageable, I am having to disband the Makini.

ICCly: Just as the Makini was slowly beginning to reach out and expand into the outside world, a malicious group of usurpers found their way into the lands, playing on the new-found trust of strangers to bypass most of the mistrust surrounding them. Soon after their arrival, the seeds of darkness and unrest were already beginning to be felt; even the old blood was beginning to doubt the royal line. The usurpers slowly weaseled themselves closer and closer to the royal line, hoping to finally 'dispose' of them and take the pride as their own. In the final confrontation, the entire royal line and its supporters fought against the usurpers and their new supporters; the battle was bloody, and some of the royal family was lost. In the end, however, they maintained their position, running the usurpers and their supporters from the lands.
In their recovery, the Makini decided that it was wrong of them to trust those from the outside; while it brought new blood in, it also almost caused the very death of them all. Now, they have decided to completely withdraw from the outside world; they also decided, however, that in case the usurping group were to return, it would be best for the lineage to be separated, so they sent off their members (along with some others) to continue the lineage away from danger.

OCCly: As there was a large conflict, members can leave for a few reasons: on the premise of them aligning with the usurping group, leaving out of fear of the group returning, or leaving with a royal family member to find a new home. The Makini will remain an ICCly idea, though, so if you still want them to be 'apart' of it, that's fine as well.

(( Don't include in note: Could all of the rps in the lands be moved to the Rogue lands? ^^ ))

Much to our sadness, it is time to say goodbye to Roxy_roxanna2 and Tanakako as pridal co-owners. They will be missed. On the bright side, Talencia will be seeking a new co-owner for the pride! Keep your eyes peeled for this in the plot thread forum.

Also, a small meta is in the works! There will be destruction, chaos, and tragedy. Friends and family will be lost or killed, and there will be a big change in how the pride is ruled! This will include contests as well. More information will be available later concerning this exciting event.  

[Whimsical Blue]

Announcement:
The Amazons are getting a change in leadership! After some thought, Blue has decided to bring on Depawsit as IC-owner of the pride while she becomes an OOC owner/consultant. She doesn't want the pride to get disbanded because she isn't being active enough.

ICly, Hippolyta has decided that with all these strong daughters running around, its time to retire and spend more time with her consort and grandchildren. Calypso has mysteriously disappeared from the pride's lands, and while its not publicly known why she left or that she won't be coming back, its rumored that she had a huge fight with her mother and has abandoned the pride. When approached to become the new heir, Ariadne declined the honor. Some say its because she's ashamed of her infertility and inability to carry on the royal line.

After much thought and discussion, Hippolyta has decided to pass on queenship of the pride to her daughter Aella (owned by Painted Moose). Umeme (owned by Depawsit) seems to be the favored one for becoming her consort and ruling the pride with her, with Hippolyta and Ebere as advisors.

Its exciting news and the pride is buzzing with rumors and gossip. With the change in leadership could come other exciting new changes. Only time will tell!

OOCly: This is also a reminder to PLEASE post new member and breeding information in the appropriate thread so the memberlist can be kept up to date! We've seen cubs running around on Antianeira certs with no breeding posting, so the guilty parties are getting the evil eye.

Weather, location, herd movements, and prompts are new and updated! Please see the BASIC INFORMATION thread in the Ithambo subforum for these updates. As well, a new section has been added called "Important Character Movements" so you can keep track of the general status of important-ranking characters and important litters.

If you have a higher ranking character, a simple PM to the mule with status will get you added to this section.

Look for multiple OOC things happening soon and a meta in the future. We're moving into summer, which means free time, prizes, and lots of events! In the mean time, we'll see you in the forums.

Announcement: On the OOC side, there's been RP requirements added to most of the high ranks, to help foster an active pride. Also, Manda has been stepped down as an OOC leader, due to life and inactivity, but please welcome -_Wish of Tevarae_- in her place! She's already done a lot helping Seph and Das Tor behind the scenes, and now she can help with a bit more! Please also post your member info if you already haven't...ESPECIALLY if you don't see your SoA on the memberlist, or their info is outdated!

On the IC side, there's something brewing...please check out the thread titled 'Elysium and the Inferno'. You won't be disappointed.

The Bahari'mtoto and the Kizingo'zaa will soon be having their agreed, annual Mummer's Ball. A symbol of hope, peace and unity that openly encourages those of the Kizingo'zaa and Bahari'mtoto to mingle and enjoy one another's company. Whether it be friendship, romance or simply gossip, there will be plenty of opportunities for members (old and new) to mingle!

Nevertheless, where there are large gatherings there may also be uninvited or unexpected guests! Keep a close eye on the Bahari'Mtoto and Kizingo'zaa for their respective plots and the upcoming Mummer's Ball!

First off, DFA has joined us once more! She will be returning to join Thalion in owning the pride shortly. Please welcome her back, she's really helped hatch up an awesome metaplot for this year.

Speaking of metaplots:

A pair of strangers have wandered the land, one of them claiming to be a powerful fortune-teller. He spoke of the past returning to the pride and the old ways reawakening. Shortly after, a group of cultists appeared at the border claiming that they have found where the muses have gone… could this be the return of insanity, or are these cultists looking to take advantage of the pride? And why does this have to happen just before the mummer's ball? What will the Bahari think?

Five new characters are up for grabs thanks to the colorists. There will also be raffles for edits from Thalion’s shop available for those that actively role play through the course of the metaplot. On top of all of that, new ranks have been introduced. Read up on everything in pride information and in the Metaplot headquarters thread.  

[Baharimtoto Pride]

Joining the Bahari'mtoto and breeding in the Bahari'mtoto have been simplified!

- There is now a joining application thread, this requires less information than the previous form. Once you have been given approval to join you can receive a JRP from any member.

- Breeding no longer requires a member to wait a month after joining, couples and rogue pairings still require approval as normal but there is no longer a delay.

- The "RITES" roleplay requirement has been removed, it will continue to be an IC tradition in the Bahari'mtoto but you do not have to roleplay it out to receive an adult rank and cert!

A new, small-ish meta is also beginning which will have prizes and a short story that will expand the size of the Bahari'mtoto territory ever so slightly. Please keep an eye on the subforum for contests as and when they show up!

Things Are Changing!

King Uther is making changes within the structure of the pride! Gone are the Council of advisers, and the King himself is taking a more direct role in the day to day of the Kingdom he rules. There is a lot more change in the air, as well! The Druids are stirring. There are rumors of an uprising. At night, the pride is becoming a dangerous place. Attacks on Toka blooded homes, or in the paths between provinces, are more common. During the day, the Druids are harder to find, and it is becoming dangerous to travel to the Uliacha province at all.

The King has not made any announcement about things, but the presence of more Knights around the Kingdom is apparent, and the King is opening recruitment. He encourages trips into the rogue lands, and searches for new Toka blood.

Slayers should keep their eyes open, as well, with all these attacks going on.

The God of Chivalry is living in the Castle Mountain, and is known to be Uther's relative, somehow. Most know him as the former King, though the God himself makes no mention of it, and does not seem to be aware of these rumors. There is another Goddess in the lands, though few have seen her and none know what she stands for. She speaks to Druids in the dead of night, and has taken up the ear of Morgana, leader of the Druid uprising.

Things are changing. There is danger on the wind.

IC/OOC Updates:
I've made a few changes!
There is now a ORP/JRP stickied in the pride thread, for easier joining!
The default rank for all cubs and juves is now Squire
The default rank for all adol and adult Toka is Commoner
The default rank for all adol and adult Druid is Druid
You do not have to get recerted if you were certed before these changes!
That's it for now, but there will probably be more on the way, as the pride gears up for an event!

Due to inactivity of key players and a few other technical issues, our metaplot has come to a close. The conclusion is a little different from what was originally planned. We have also updated and cleaned up the pride information thread and the member's list! We understand it was a little hard to read and a little difficult to understand. All this aside- joining is open once again, breeding is open once again, and we are looking forward to moving on! Thank you everyone for your amazing patience. If there are any issues with the member list, please shoot the mule a PM!
