Welcome to Heartfire! post #4 & choose banner code.
Posts #1 and #2 explain the 3 Basic Rules in detail:
Show up, have fun, support zOMG.
Post #3 has the Birthday/Gaiaversary list.
Friend your Captain and anyone you regularly work with.
- You will see a friend as a moving dot if in your area of zOMG.
(Colors for you, your friends, and your crew depend on browser used.)
Click on a dot and you will move to their layer, if you see them on the map
and not in the actual area (first check for lag, the dot may also just be laggy.)
For details on layers (like virtual servers), see Welcome to Heartfire, 1st post.
Minimum Participation
Each month post in clan forums or log a crew twice and do a zOMG support activity
(attend a dev meat, do a clan task, bring news back to the clan, etc.).**
Each clan member is responsible for tracking their own participation.
And please, if anyone knows inventory control, contact me! heart
What is Still Needed - 3rd post in zOMG Crewing thread
Goals
Goals: Networking phase through late May - Crew rest of clan members.
Identify and train new crewleaders. Create 'buddy system' training network,
Crew down, until all members are crewed/partnered by late May.
Inactive members will be removed/membership kept low
as all members become active. (100-110 is usual.)
RP and Japanese will resume if there is interest.
Summer - Beginning weekly crewing in EuroZone. (Open to members in other areas.)
Anyone interested in AsiaZone? Will you be ready for themed crews?
Parties, zOMG outreach, joint events, more contests.
Probation
Lasts until first posts are made. Any member not meeting MINIMUM
participation requirements or requesting leave MAY be removed.
Every member should now know the rules - and, really, if you
don't enjoy the clan enough to spend a couple hours a month
in forums or crews, it probably isn't the right clan for you.
(If there is something you prefer not to have posted, tell us.)
Crew your officers and frequent players, especially in your area of interest,
for easy contact and 'blue dots' to jump layers (needed for crews and meats).
For more info, contact your crewleader by CL or
read back in the Communications thread). - jelly
Your crewleader by CL:
Crew Leaders
Field Lead is Parodius-Daryl, beta tester.
1.0 to 6.0 jellykans
1.0 to 10.0 Darkness_Consumes_Within, John Columbo
5.0 to 10.1+ Parodius-Daryl
9.0 to 11.0 Hashtable (Ze3k)) - SS/DMS, summer
You may also be assigned outside of your CL for specific lessons.
If you 'only want to finish the game' then leave, now.
Tips
Do not use the word NOOB unless you want the captain to twist your ear.
Everyone was new once, and if you are not willing to be a newbie, you will
not learn very much. You may also be - gasp - bored. (And boring.)
Anyone who states they are bored or puts 'boring' in their status
will be given work to do.
If you are too random to show up, this is not the clan for you.
****Why is poultry hanging out on the Orientation page?
The answer lies here: Geh geh's Chicken (Our Clan Mascot)
Henrietta is on the left, then Chicky (mislabeled as Cheepy in the MP),
then the guy with the eyebrows (mislabeled as Chicky in the MP),
then the guy who just wandered in with the small flock on his own...
QUESTIONS? Post them in this thread, and we should get back to you within a day.
If they are not specifically clan-related, savvy has a popular thread for zOMG:
Ask me anything about zOMG - and she has a clan thread by the same name.
