Directions!

Okay every body, this is the short and simple list of directions you can follow so you can set up your role playing character fast! First off, you decide what type of soldier you wish to be, meaning you choose your profession. As you progress through the story and participate in many battles you will get to be promoted and at certain ranks you can learn more types(how active you are, and how well you rp will deem your promotion). There are many weapons based in this game and when you find them you will be able to use them, but each type that you choose will only help you know what you are proficient at. For example: Bob deicides he wants to be a sniper. So he starts out with the sniper rifle, smg, and standard side arms. During the roleplay their is an explosion and his sniper rifle is damaged. But luckily he finds a wounded marine who give him his rocket launcher. Now just because Bob is a sniper doesnt mean he can not use the rocket- what it does mean is that he can not start with the rocket launcher and he is not as skilled in the use of that weapon as he would be with a sniper. Being it is not on his weapons list. But it all starts on the character you want. So think hard in making your character and have lots of fun. Thank you for joining Halo: Rise of the Marines!

More Rules:

1- No godmodding! If you do you will get hit and wounded possibly killed-that's why we have commanders playing as NPC's in battle!
2- Please keep this role-play at a moderate level. No cybering or porn or stuff like that allowed. You are aloud to cuss to an extent only because it is war.
3-Be respectful to all crew and other members and if they don't know how to Rp then help them out and show them around! Look out for your battle buddy!
4-No Txt talk! I would rather have people type English please. Proper spelling is preferred, now that does not mean if your character is from spanish decent, that you cant use spanish when your character talks, but when writing actions of your character please keep it English.
5-There are no Spartans, you are a normal human. So don't even post your profile as one! If you want to be a hell jumper, do a few missions and be an amazing RPer. Once their are enough Roleplayers I will send out an announcement and their will be an application process. If you want to be one, then apply only when the announcement says so.
6-Although it is preferred that no one goes anywhere alone, it is allowed, but not preferred. Especially snipers, A sniper is supposed to always have a spotter, but sweatdrop what can i do, i cant stop ya. A follow on with this rule, if you are a command type, you can not send your second rpc into another or different area, you and you 2nd rpc must be in the same area with two exceptions, wounding and a character cannot go on, or death of one of your characters.
7-We are on the honor system, so trying to keep things as realistic, or real life as possible.
8- Not everyone will be a sniper, or a heavy weapons specialist. On the character application i will tell you how many people are in each profession type.
9- You must continually update your profile, for example, if Bob gets his arm shot off and replaced my a robotic one, under appliances and under his bio, he should change that. If Larry gets promoted, he should change that.
10- This is a free flowing Role Play meaning your character CAN die
11- For the sake of all the readers and role-players, please BOLD your characters dialogue. Posting formats are highly welcome! Please just don't make it too complicated.
12- Make sure that your posts are at least 10 lines long.

New Rule about posting
13- Inorder to increase activity, you only have to wait 2-3 posts from different people in order to post again.

Squad rules:

1-listen to your commanding officers! (For they are trying to move the role play along.)
2-never leave a man/woman behind! Unless dead, or if it is inhibits the completion of the Mission. Good Rule to live by, "Mission First, People Always"
3-don't bullsh*t with anyone! If you have a beef, just drop it, cause I eat idiots for breakfast.

Not including NPC's--but below is all commander dependent--
-Human Squads/ Units- every one will be divided up into fire teams, and when a fire team is full it moves to the next fire team. A fire team is 1-4 people. Each fire team will have at most 1 sniper. At most 1 rocket launcher. So an average team will have a sniper/ or heavy or etc., a team leader, and 2 rifleman. These will all change when more players join, the point of this is to not have every one a sniper.

-[ACQ]- Assault and Close Quarters
These are the every day soldier the fighters and main infantry unit of the UNSC. Also known as grunts, these troopers specialize in nothing more than the main infantry role of fighting, although the can be used as spotters for snipers and also assist gunners for machine guns. They have a basic knowledge of all human weapons and basic First Aid skills.
Weapons able to start with include only the following:
BR55- Battle Rifle
MA5B- Assault Rifle
M7 Sub Machine Gun
M90 Tactical Shotgun
Side-arms include a standard Combat Knife and a M6C Pistol (Non scoped)
-------------------------------------------

User Image
-- Sniper
A Sniper-spotter team (also referred to as scout-sniper team) consists of two people, a sniper and a spotter. Both the sniper and spotter are often fully qualified as a sniper, but have different duties. These duties are often rotated for various reasons, such as to reduce eye fatigue of the spotter during observation and to reduce arm fatigue of the sniper. The sniper takes the advice and commands of the spotter, changing and firing on targets. The sniper is very vulnerable to attack when sniping, which is why snipers will have their spotters providing security. The sniper, of which there is only one, is armed with a long-ranged weapon. In this role play, if you choose a sniper profession, some one will volunteer to be your spotter, you can ask who you want to be your spotter, or some one will be assigned to you. If there are two snipers in the RolePlay then there will be two sniper teams, unless both RPers are willing to be each others spotter and switch off every other mission, just like a real life team would. The spotter detects, observes, and assigns targets and watches for the results of the shot. Using a spotting scope, they will also read the wind by using physical indicators and the mirage caused by the heat on the ground. Also, in conjunction with the shooter, the spotter will accurately make calculations for distance, angle shooting (slant range), mil dot related calculations, correction for atmospheric conditions, and leads for moving targets. The spotter is also usually tasked to ensure proper communication with adjacent units, adjusting how the indirect fire and close air support will work for the team. The spotter is also charged with team security. Because of this, they are usually armed with medium to close-ranged weapons.
Weapons able to start with include only the following:
S2 AMB Sniper Rifle
or
BR55- Battle Rifle
or
M392 Designated Marksman Rifle (limited)
along with
M7 Sub Machine Gun
Side-arms include a standard Combat Knife and a M6C Pistol (Non scoped)
meaning, a trooper can have a sniper with SMG, and sidearms or a DMR with SMG and sidearms or a BR with SMG and sidearms.

-[M]- Medic
Combat medics (also known simply as medics) are trained military personnel who are responsible for providing first aid and frontline trauma care on the battlefield. They are also responsible for providing continuing medical care in the absence of a readily available physician, including care for disease and battle injury. Combat medics are normally co-located with the combat troops they serve in order to easily move with the troops and monitor ongoing health. Trained as a regular marine first, these men were given extra schooling to become life savers on and off the battlefield. Medics are able to flash clone organs on the battlefield given the right circumstances and surgically replace them in wounded marines.
A Bag- A combat medic will typically carry a backpack styled bag known as a "Unit One Pack". Aid bags are available from many different manufacturers, in many different styles. Depending on the unit and their standard operating procedures, the medic may have to follow a strict packing list, or may have the liberty of choosing their kit depending on the mission at hand.
Weapons able to start with include only the following:
MA5B- Assault Rifle
M7 Sub Machine Gun one or two
Side-arms include a standard Combat Knife and a M6C Pistol (Non scoped)

-[C]- Command
The Command application is not so much a profession so much as it is a type. If you choose the command type you increase the number of people you roleplay as, so you start out with you and another marine who you create his profile, his personality, and background, as if he was you main character...but he's not. While you make your profile with the command class, you also make it along with your new 'battle buddy' that you earn while choosing the command type. The command type is the only type that allows you to use the scoped pistol, but unfortunately your 'battle buddy' can not being any other type marine except for assault and close quarters profession, except for the shotgun and battle rifle. Also your 'battle buddy' does not get the scoped pistol, only you do.
Weapons able to start with include only the following:
BR55- Battle Rifle
H-165 FOM- Target Locator
MA5B- Assault Rifle
M7 Sub Machine Gun one or two
Side-arms include a standard Combat Knife and a M6D Pistol (Scoped)
------------------------------------------

-[HW]- Heavy Weapons
These are the big guys in the marine corps, not much difference in training from the normal grunts that make up the main fighting force except for the rule of thumb that these marines were assigned to carry, learn, and use more unique weapons for their skill set. Although not much is different from the ACQ bunch, these gentlemen carry the heavy weapons to rid the battle field of enemy vehicles, aircraft, or other hazardous obstacles. They are generally slower for the fact that their weapons and ammunition weight a great deal more that their ACQ brothers in arms. The HW (heavy weapons) marines can only carry one special weapon at a time, for example you can not carry two rocket launchers or a rocker launcher and a flamerthrower. You can carry one special, ex: a rocket launcher and a standard, ex: SMG
Weapons able to start with include only the following:
M19 SSM (Jackhammer) Rocket Launcher
or
M247 General Purpose Machine Gun
or
M7057 Defoliant Projectile (Flame-thrower)
along with
M7 Sub Machine Gun
Side-arms include a standard Combat Knife and a M6C Pistol (Non scoped)
------------------------------------------

-[P]- Pilots/ Technicians/ MechanicsUser Image
This class is more for roleplay purposes rather that class bonuses, they can however be very very useful if roleplayed correctly. These are the fixers, the computer experts, the combat engineers of the UNSC. They know the inside and out of almost every single UNSC vehicle and device, and if given the right equipment and parts they can take apart a tank and put it right back together brand spankin new and shiny at that too. The Pilots have training in multiple aircraft, from close air support of a vulture to the rapid deployment of a Pelican. These men along with the technicians are more alined with the UNSC Navy rather than the corps, none the less, a pilots, mechanics, and technicians on the battle field can drive a Warthog, Scorpion, or any other human vehicle far better than any Marine could, and better yet they could fix it too! There is not much difference between the Pilot, Tech, or Mechanic except for their uniform and previous job, yet their skills remain pretty much the same. The Pilot wears the UNSC flight suit, while the technician wears the Navy's jump suit, both of which, if given a helmet are air sealed and can survive in space for a limited amount of time. On the other hand the Mechanic is aligned with the Marine Corps and wears the same battle dress uniform that all marines wears.
Weapons able to start with include only the following:
MA5B- Assault Rifle
M7 Sub Machine Gun
Mechanics Toolkit
Schematics Datapad
The spoofer (referred to as the "lockpick") is used by the UNSC forces to force open doors and override certain pieces of equipment by sending in an electrical current that stabilizes the door that may be locked, damaged, or otherwise unable to function.
PG000E Portable Electricity Generator- It is used to provide a portable electricity source for radios and other electronic battle equipment.
Side-arms include a standard Combat Knife and a M6C Pistol (Non scoped)

UNSC Marine Weapons
User Image

MA5C Individual Combat Weapon System (Assault Rifle) User Image
The MA5C Individual Combat Weapon System (abbreviated MA5C ICWS), more commonly known as the MA5C Assault Rifle, is a standard United Nations Space Command firearm. The MA5C Assault Rifle is an air-cooled, gas-operated, magazine fed weapon designed for automatic fire. The Assault Rifle is the workhorse of the UNSC Marine Corps that has been in service for more than 50 years. The MA5C has an attached electronics suite that provides information on rounds remaining in the magazine, compass heading, as well as several other "housekeeping" functions. The rifle performs well in a variety of environments especially given the perceived delicacy of the attached electronics suite. The magazine capacity has been reduced to 32 rounds from the original 60 in the MA5B, and the rifleā€™s range and accuracy has been substantially improved over its predecessor, making it a more formidable Assault Rifle.

32 rounds magazine, 352 rounds total, 11 magazines

M7/Caseless Submachine Gun User Image
The M7/Caseless Submachine Gun, more simply known as the SMG, is a United Nations Space Command infantry and special operations weapon. The M7/Caseless Submachine Gun is an automatic UNSC submachine gun that fires from a 60-round magazine which is placed horizontally on the left side of the weapon. The SMG has a polymer handle, folding fore-grip, iron sights, and collapsible buttstock, as well as a titanium body. The SMG must be cocked before it can fire the first round. The charging handle is located on the right side of the gun and does not move during operation. Once the first round is fired, the gases from previous rounds force the breech to rotate and chamber a new round.

60 round magazine, 240 rounds total, 4 magazines

BR55HB SRBattle Rifle User Image
The BR55HB SR Battle Rifle (commonly called the Battle Rifle or BR) is a UNSC infantry firearm that is a select-fire rifle that has been in service for over 27 years. The UNSC employs the Battle Rifle as a medium-range marksman rifle; it fires new 9.5x40mm ammunition from a 36 round magazine, which fits flush in the receiver. The magazine housing is built directly into the underside of the stock of the rifle and is located behind the grip. This titanium alloy weapon is gas-operated with a rotating bolt and therefore must be charged before the first round can be fired. The charging handle used to chamber the round is located on the left side of the weapon and does not move during operation, but is pushed back during reloading. The rifle has a housed magazine in the stock. The ejection port is located on the right side of the weapon.

36 round magazine, 144 rounds total, 4 magazines.

M90 Close Assault Weapon System (Shotgun) User Image
The M90 Close Assault Weapon System(abbreviated M90 CAWS), is the United Nations Space Command's primary shotgun, and is one of the most effective infantry weapons used by front line forces. The M90 Shotgun is a pump-action, magazine-fed, dual tubular non-detachable type weapon. The Weapon System Technologies DTM series shotgun is the most common shotgun employed by UNSC Special Forces, law enforcement agencies, and sportsmen. The M90 has been in service for over 27 years and its design has changed very little. The M90ā€™s immense power, ease of use, and reduced capacity for puncturing the hulls of spacecraft over many other UNSC weapon systems with standard 0000 ammunition are greatly appreciated. The M90 is often employed in urban conditions where the tight spaces are conducive to the shotgun's wide spray for defensive purposes and CQB combat. The military issued DTM series comes standard with an adjustable stock and pistol grip. The M90 Shotgun uses the Soellkraft 8 Gauge Magnum Shotgun Shell. This is an incredibly large round, not used by any modern military. Recoil has been said to be relatively low. It fires 15 spreading pellets per shot. The combined force of each relatively weak pellet does a significant amount of damage against almost any type of infantry, and the shells wide spread in certain situations can inflict shrapnel damage to multiple infantry. The M90 Shotgun's powerful 8 gauge shell can punch through armor and Energy Shields easily, making the M90 a great weapon for taking on heavily armored infantry and lightly armored vehicles. The M90's top loading system allows a user to reload the shotgun with speed and ease for quick firing.

12 shell load, 48 shells total.

Close Quarters Combat Weapon System (Combat Knife) User Image
The Combat Knife, occasionally referred to as the, is a multi-purpose knife used by the United Nations Space Command. The UNSC's multi-purpose combat knife has a 20 centimetres (7.9 in) blade made of high carbon steel, an anti-flash non-reflective titanium carbide coating, edge coated for corrosion resistance and is 43.3 centimetres (1 ft 5.0 in) when sheathed. All UNSC troops are issued a combat knife for field and utility uses, as well as a backup weapon for desperate close combat situations. It is also balanced for throwing.

Infinite, one throw

M7057/Defoliant Projector (Flamethrower) User Image
The M7057/Defoliant Projector, more commonly known as the M7057 Flamethrower, is a UNSC heavy ground weapon. The M7057/DP, is a standard chemical flamethrower, which projects and ignites a stream of a volatile, semi-liquid fuel. Flamethrowers are cumbersome and relatively difficult to tactically employ. 'Defoliant Projector' ā€” was to be used to rapidly clear away heavy foliage for in-theater construction projects and to destroy new or persistent growth from emplacements and/or hardened military assets. It is normally used with a cart, instead of being carried. It has a built in failsafe system that stops the weapon firing when it reaches a certain temperature. If the weapon could be fired while overheated, it would melt or explode, and the heat and the flames would harm the user. The Flamethrower is very powerful, laying waste to any opponent in close quarters. It can be used strategically to put flame in front of entry ways as a denial of entry, or to shoot it while running backwards around a corner (giving you the ability to damage them but denying them a direct line of sight to you).

100 fuel units, 700 fuel units total, 7 canisters

M6D Personal Defense Weapon System (Pistol Scoped) User Image
The M6D Personal Defense Weapon System, otherwise known as the M6D Magnum Sidearm, is a United Nations Space Command sidearm and is one of the variants of Misriah Armory's M6 handgun series. The M6D is a semi-automatic, recoil-operated, magazine-fed, large-bore handgun that is controllable even during rapid fire, although at the cost of accuracy. It fires M225 SAP-HE (Semi-Armor Piercing, High Explosive) rounds from a 12-round magazine. The weapon is very accurate out to its maximum effective range. This accuracy allows incredibly precise target engagement at long range. This, combined with its decent damage against Energy Shields, makes it a viable option when faced with shielded opponents, such as Elites. It is, however, even more effective against unshielded infantry targets, being able to kill most targets in one shot to the head or two to three shots to the body. The M6D is a very basic pistol compared to most 26th century technology. It is a large handgun, having an overall length of 26.7cm and possesses a rifled barrel, improving accuracy by spinning the bullet. It is issued in a hard chrome finish color and operates like most contemporary pistols. It has rear sights but it does not have a forward sight blade, which is replaced by the smart-link scope. It features a KFA-2 2x optical, smart-linked scope. This scope links directly to a user's HUD or a Marine eye piece. It also has a large grip guard, which helps prevent the user from dropping it and a chrome barrel which helps prevent corrosion.

12 round magazine, 60 rounds total, 5 magazines (sidearm)
12 round magazine, 120 rounds total, 10 magazines (main)

M6C Personal Defense Weapon System (Pistol, Non-Scoped) User Image
The M6C Personal Defense Weapon System, otherwise known as the M6C Magnum Sidearm, is a United Nations Space Command sidearm and is one of the variants of Misriah Armory's M6 handgun series. The M6C Magnum Sidearm is a short-medium range UNSC handgun that was distributed to members of the UNSC Marine Corps, particularly members of vehicular crews. The M6C is a semi-automatic, recoil-operated, magazine-fed handgun. It has DA, or double-action only trigger and fires the M228 12.7mmx40mm SAP-HP round (Semi-Armor Piercing, High Penetration) from a 12 round magazine. It has a considerably high rate of fire (6 rounds/sec or 360 rounds/min) with a limited maximum effective range, being able to hit a target accurately at only about 20 meters. The M6C is considered to be the weaker of the currently usable M6-series models in that it has reduced accuracy, a shorter effective range, and lower efficiency rate against shielded, armored, and soft targets.

12 round magazine, 60 rounds total, 5 magazines (sidearm)
12 round magazine, 120 rounds total, 10 magazines (main)

M19 SSM Rocket Launcher User Image
The M19 SSM Rocket Launcher alternatively called the Jackhammer, or SPNKr is a United Nations Space Command heavy ordnance weapon. The M19 SSM is the UNSC's primary anti-vehicle weapon that is often used in ground engagements. It fires a 102mm Shaped-Charge High-Explosive Surface to Surface Missile. The launcher has a 2x scope and can fire rockets over long distances with devastating accuracy, although it falls in altitude and moves at a very slow rate if fired from a long distance. The weapon consists of two disposable barrels and the weapon unit, allowing two consecutive shots. When reloading, the spent barrels are discarded and a new pair is inserted. With this mechanism, a Marine can greatly reduce the weight he carries without throwing the weapon away, and reduced production costs as only the barrels are thrown away. The Rocket Launcher spreads a huge amount of damage over a large area. It is capable of taking out entire groups of infantry at any range and can kill both the passengers and crew of nearly any vehicle with limited ability of tracking or homing in on vehicles.

2 rocket disposable tubes, 8 rockets total, 4 rocket disposable tubes

SRS99C-S2 AMB Sniper Rifle User Image
The SRS99C-S2 AMB Sniper Rifle is an anti-matƩriel/personnel rifle in use by the United Nations Space Command. The SRS99C-S2 AMB is a semi-automatic UNSC sniper rifle that fires 14.5mm x 114mm APFSDS (Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot) rounds from a 4 round magazine. It is designed in the conventional layout, so the mag and operating system are located in front of the trigger. The SRS99C-S2AMB has some notable changes from the AM model. First off, it is fitted with a 5x and 10x scope that shows real time images. When looking through it, the scope (Oracle N-variant) seems to be down-graded considering the AM model's scope showed the target's elevation and distance and showed when the scope was leveled. The AMB also has an altered foregrip and stock as well as an altered body. This weapon does not possess a safety and has a frame that serves as a carrying handle as well as a scope protector. A folding bipod is located in front of the magazine on the underside of the gun.

4 round magazine, 24 rounds total, 6 magines

M247 General Purpose Machine Gun
User Image
The M247 General Purpose Machine Gun, formally known as the Machine Gun, Caliber 7.62 mm, M247, is a machine gun used extensively by the United Nations Space Command Defense Force. The M247 is a very effective weapon against enemy infantry and light vehicles. The weapon's tracer rounds are far less visible than the projectiles of the Covenant's analogues. While the 7.62x51mm round it uses is effective against armor and flesh, unlike plasma-based weaponry it is not particularly effective against shields. Despite this, the M247's high volume of fire makes it a very potent weapon. The M247 GPMG has been fitted for numerous roles on the battle field including the following:
Fixed - This variant of the turret has a slab of armor plating to protect the operator from incoming fire, and is used as a defensive weapon by the UNSC Marine Corps.
Portable - This variant is man-portable and is equipped with a folding tripod or bipod for rapid relocation and setup in the field. To lighten the load, the protective plate is removed.
Other known uses are Pelican mounted and Elephant Mounted.

200 round bandoleer (magazine), 1000 rounds total, 5 bandoliers (magazines)

H-165 FOM (Target Locator)
User Image
The H-165 FOM or Target Locator is a United Nations Space Command artillery fire designator. The Target Locator is a compact, handheld laser emitter designed for acquiring and designating targets for small-scale percison rocket artillery support. While similar in function to the UNSC Laser Designator, the Target Locator is much smaller and can be held with one hand. The Target Locator also has both 2x and 4x magnification. When the trigger is held down for several seconds, a green laser beam marks the targets, and a red circle is projected on the ground around the target area. Once the target has been locked, 7 missiles strike the designated area from above, doing a large amount of area damage.
The Target Locator can also lock onto an individual target, with the projected circle following the target until the strike commences.

1 artillery strike, 3 total artillery strikes

Weapon/Anti-Vehicle Model 6 Grindell/Galilean Nonlinear Rifle (Spartan Laser)
User Image
The Weapon/Anti-Vehicle Model 6 Grindell/Galilean Nonlinear Rifle[1][2] (abbreviated W/AV M6 G/GNR), also known as the Spartan Laser, is the UNSC's ground-based, man-portable, anti-vehicle, directed energy weapon.
It is the only known battery-powered UNSC weapon, and is the most powerful infantry weapon fielded by UNSC forces. It is capable of penetrating multiple targets, including tanks, unlike the Sniper Rifle, which can only penetrate infantry. Despite the name, the Laser can be used by regular humans, such as UNSC Marines and ODSTs. The name could have been derived because of its weight, cost, or sheer destructive power. The M6 Spartan Laser is a man-portable, shoulder-fired, directed energy weapon used by the UNSC. When the trigger is pulled, a red targeting laser is painted on-target accompanied by an audible whine as the weapon cycles up. The Spartan Laser will then charge for approximately two to three seconds before discharging the main laser. As the Spartan Laser charges, the charging tone gets noticeably louder and increases in pitch up until the laser is fired. The firing sequence can be aborted without discharging the battery as long as the weapon is not actually fired; for example, if the target moves out of sight or the operator needs to displace. The laser is capable of penetrating several enemies or vehicles, and has a small blast radius, injuring targets within two meters of the point of impact and toppling light vehicles.

1 blast, 5 total blasts

AIE-486H Heavy Machine Gun User Image
The AIE-486H Heavy Machine Gun (abbreviated AIE-486H HMG or simply HMG), more commonly referred to as the Heavy Machine Gun Turret, is a United Nations Space Command ground weapon effective against infantry and light vehicles. The AIE-486H Heavy Machine Gun is a standard Gatling-style medium machine gun, used by the UNSC for offensive and defensive purposes. It is also more powerful than the UNSC's stationary turret, the M247 GP Machine Gun. For defensive purposes, it can be mounted on a tripod, but when used for an assault it can be irreversibly and quickly detached from its tripod. In its unmounted form, the weapon has a limited ammunition capacity of 200 rounds and takes about a second to "spin up" before reaching its highest rate of fire. Pulling the trigger once will cause the gun to fire a maximum of two rounds at a moderate rate; holding it down builds up the rate of fire to a higher rate. The gun slowly climbs during automatic fire like the M7 Caseless Sub Machine Gun, but its recoil is lessened by the gun's weight, which makes it hard to move around as well as decreasing the user's speed.

Mounted 2000 rounds, Dismounted 200 round belt

M319 Individual Grenade Launcher
The M319 Individual Grenade Launcher, more formally known as the Individual Grenade Launcher, Caliber 40mm, M319, is a single-shot, break-action explosives launcher used by the United Nations Space Command, specifically the UNSC Army. Due to its simplicity, ruggedness, and firepower, it has been a mainstay weapon in the UNSC Army since its adoption in 2263, and has seen action in several armed conflicts during nearly three centuries of use, with the Human-Covenant War as the most prominent. It saw use during the Fall of Reach. The grenade launcher has two firing modes. The first launches a single grenade at around normal grenade speed: after hitting a surface, the grenade detonates on impact with an opponent or after the time of a frag grenade's detonation, in which case the grenade will explode after bouncing off the ground once. The second firing mode shoots a grenade that explodes when the user wishes. This is performed by holding down the trigger, which fires the grenade but merely primes it; it will only explode after the trigger is released.

1 magazine, 15 grenades total

M392 Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR)
The M392 Designated Marksman Rifle, more formally known as the Designated Marksman Rifle, Caliber 7.62 mm, M392, and commonly abbreviated as the DMR, is a select-fire rifle used by the United Nations Space Command. The M392 Designated Marksman Rifle is an air-cooled, magazine-fed, gas-operated select-fire bullpup rifle that fires 7.62x51mm ammunition. It takes a fifteen round detachable box magazine, similar aesthetically to the BR55. The weapon has a mounted optic capable of 3x magnification, and it possesses a fire selector switch located above the grip of the weapon. The M392 also has a magazine release button which is located directly above the magazine well, behind the trigger. The weapon has two ejection ports, one on the left and right hand sides of the weapon respectively, so that a left or right-handed shooter can fire the weapon. The M392 DMR's intended battlefield application is similar to that of the BR55 battle rifle, fulfilling a role as the most effective medium-to-long range weapon in the UNSC arsenal. It is intended for experienced operators with proficient skill in shot placement and "controlled firing" since the recoil from multiple shots must be controlled to effectively deliver maximum damage to the target and to ensure that the target is neutralized at the fastest possible rate. Due to the introduction of an expanding reticle, the DMR requires a considerably higher proficiency in controlled firing and precision than the BR55 to attain successive hits. In order to deliver hits to a target at medium-to-long ranges, a pause after each shot with the DMR is required to allow the reticle to contract to its smallest possible size. Immediately firing upon reacquisition of target maintains the maximum rate of accurate fire. While at close-to-medium range, it is only necessary to allow the reticle to shrink enough that it is roughly equal to the size of the target before firing again. At extremely close ranges, it is unnecessary to allow the reticle to contract at all, and it is most effective to fire the rifle as fast as possible. Although it saw more widespread use throughout all branches of the UNSC prior to 2548, it had since been superseded in use by the BR55 Battle Rifle in all military branches of the UNSCDF but the Army.

M274 Ultra-Light All-Terrain Vehicle (Mongoose)
The M274 Ultra-Light All-Terrain Vehicle (abbreviated M274 ULATV), commonly known as the Mongoose, is a United Nations Space Command light ground reconnaissance vehicle designed by AMG Transport Dynamics. The Mongoose lacks weapons, but can carry a driver and a passenger. The M274 Mongoose ULATV is one of the fastest and most maneuverable ground vehicles in the arsenal of the UNSC Marine Corps. It is a highly effective vehicle for reconnaissance, rapid transportation, swift tactical versatility, and for shooting between positions. A smaller cousin to the ubiquitous M831 Troop Transport, the Mongoose is a small ATV capable of carrying a driver in the middle of the vehicle, and features a rear platform that can be used to carry one additional passenger. Because it carries no armament of its own, having a passenger is usually essential if engaging in a combat zone. Due to its smaller size, the Mongoose is a difficult target for both slow and fast moving enemy weaponry, as opposed to the Warthog, whose size is somewhat substantial. The Mongoose's high speed, light mass, and practically non-existent armor make it unwieldy and difficult to control at high speeds and/or over unstable terrain, making the ULATV vulnerable to destabilization, crashes, and flips. To make matters worse, the design of the vehicle and its lack of armor leave both the driver and passenger completely exposed. Furthermore, the Mongoose does not incorporate any offensive or defensive capabilities, making the Mongoose's only practical defenses an armed passenger and it's speed. Thus, the standard UNSC Marine Corps operating protocol in engagements against Covenant forces is to place a M41 Rocket Launcher-armed Marine in the passenger position to fire rockets against slow-moving hostile vehicles, while the driver uses the Mongoose's superior speed to evade enemy return fire.

M12 Force Application Vehicle (Warthog)
The M12 Force Application Vehicle, more commonly known as the Warthog or simply the Hog, is a United Nations Space Command ground vehicle. The M12 FAV Warthog is the UNSC's primary ground vehicle, used for its scouting and reconnaissance capacity, or as an integral part of a mechanized infantry unit; the M12 has been a part of the UNSC's armored vehicle fleet for fifty years, and is the most recognizable vehicle in their arsenal. It is a highly mobile, all-wheel-drive, all-wheel-steering, ICE-powered (Internal combustion engine) vehicle equipped with a manual transmission. The M12 is a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle capable of going over any obstacle without difficulty; under the hood the M12's power is generated by a forward-housed low-profile liquid-cooled hydrogen-injected ICE I/C plant, coupled with an automatic infinitely variable transmission (IVT). According to a marine's quote, it has a 36-inch ground clearance. The M12 features a Graf/Hauptman solar/saline actuator, and will convert up to twelve liters of fresh, brackish or salt water into hydrogen on the fly, detritus is compacted on board, this allows the Warthog to travel 790 kilometers or 490 miles before it needs to be refueled. The M12 is a huge, unwieldy, difficult to steer vehicle ā€“ until a user learns how to drive it properly. With proper application of the hand, or "e-brake" the M12 can actually turn on a dime. Massive disc brakes and its automatic braking systems allow the vehicle to come to a near immediate, but controlled stop should the driver be ejected, or choose to leave the vehicle. The Warthog's tires have moved away from previous inert-gas pocket inflation with equally burst-proof single unit nanotube skeletons. They provide the buoyancy and ride of gas-pocket tires, but are almost indestructible. The relatively massive tires are a joint project between Michelin-Vance and AMG. The mounted M41 chain gun can cut down heavily armored infantry within seconds, this also applies to shielded infantry as well. With enough controlled fire from the 12.7X99mm armor-piercing rounds, the M41 can easily rip through the armor of a Covenant Ghost and destroy it. The Warthog's titanium armor, though light, is tough enough to take at least one fragmentation grenade and keep rolling and can withstand small amounts of energy weapon fire. It also makes for an impervious scout and transportation vehicle, able to make a smooth getaway or rapid infiltration if needed.

Max Speed: 120 km/h (75 mph)

M12G1 Light Anti-Armor Vehicle (Gauss 'Hog)
The M12G1 Light Anti-Armor Vehicle, abbreviated as the M12G1 LAAV and commonly known as the Gauss 'Hog, is a United Nations Space Command ground vehicle. The Gauss 'Hog is a variant of the M12 Force Application Vehicle and features a mounted M68 ALIM Gauss Cannon. The M12G1 LAAV is one of the UNSC's few dedicated anti-armor vehicles, designed to quickly and efficiently defeat lightly armored vehicles such as Type-25 RAV "Chopper" and Type-32 RAV "Ghost". The Gauss 'Hog is almost exactly the same in every detail to the standard M12 "Warthog" FAV except that it is equipped with a mounted M68 Gauss Cannon which fires 25mm hypersonic speed projectiles by asynchronous magnetic acceleration in the base of the cannon. It takes about a half a second to recharge between cannon shots. Although it appears more rarely in the forces rather than the standard Warthog, its capabilities make it a fearsome, agile and powerful vehicle to use.

Max Speed: 120 km/h (75 mph)
Mass: 3 metric tons
Max Crew: Officially 3 (1 driver, 1 passenger, 1 gunner) Unofficially as many as you can fit on the vehicle.
Min Crew: 1 driver

M12R Light Anti-Armor Vehicle (Rocket Hog)
The M12R Light Anti-Armor Vehicle, abbreviated as M12R LAAV and commonly referred to as the Rocket Warthog, is a UNSC ground vehicle. It is a variant of the M12 Force Application Vehicle and features a mounted M79 Multiple Launch Rocket System. The M12R LAAV is one of UNSC's few anti-armor vehicles, designed to quickly and efficiently defeat lightly armored vehicles such as Type-48 LAGC "Revenant" and Type-32 RAV "Ghost". The Rocket 'Hog is almost exactly the same in every detail to the standard M12 "Warthog" FAV except that it is equipped with a mounted M79 MLRS which fires six 65mm rockets per volley every two to three seconds. It's rockets are capable of locking onto aircraft only.

Max Speed: 120 km/h (75 mph)
Mass: 3 metric tons
Max Crew: Officially 3 (1 driver, 1 passenger, 1 gunner) Unofficially as many as you can fit on the vehicle.

M831 Troop Transport (Bus)
The M831 Troop Transport, abbreviated as M831 TT and commonly known as the Troop Transport, is a United Nations Space Command ground vehicle based off the chassis of the M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle. The M831 Troop Transport (nicknamed by marines as the 'bus') is essentially the troop transport variant of the M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle. It contains neither a M41 LAAG, a 102mm SC-HE Rocket Turret, nor a M68 Gauss Cannon. The M831 TT provides supplementary room for 5 personnel in the rear section along with one driver and a passenger in the front seat. The Troop Transport relies on its passengers for defense and offense. Because of this, it is normally considered far less powerful than its counterparts. The usage of a troop compartment instead of a turret is both an advantage and a disadvantage: more allies will die should the vehicle be destroyed, but multiple targets can be counterattacked at the same time (albeit with less overall force). Also, its roll cage appears to be made of several metal beams, unlike normal roll cages.

Max Speed: 125 km/h (78 mph)
Mass: 4 metric tons
Max Crew: Officially 2 + 5 (1 driver, 1 passenger, also 5 marines in roll-cage) Unofficially as many as you can fit on the vehicle.
Min Crew: 1 driver
Armament: none
Shielding/ Hull: ballistic polycarbonate, titanium, carbon nanotube

M808B Main Battle Tank (Scorpion)
The M808B Main Battle Tank, commonly known as the Scorpion, is a United Nations Space Command-employed heavy ground combat vehicle. The Scorpion is used for large scale operations requiring heavy firepower or used as an anti-vehicular platform. The M808 Scorpion is an armored attack vehicle that has been in service for more than thirty years, and serves as the UNSC's main anti-vehicle platform. The M808B is considered "light" by standard definitions but has served as the UNSC's main battle tank well before the Human-Covenant War. Its four-track nacelles design with each track mounted on an independent, computer-controlled suspension system, allows the Scorpion to traverse, climb over, or maneuver around large debris or other battlefield obstacles, and prevents the vehicle from being easily disabled. The central chassis is simple in design containing the main armament at the stern of the hull, and the crew compartment forward of it; and the machine gun at the bow on certain variants. The chassis is covered with heavy titanium-ceramic armor plating, making it incredibly resilient to small-arms fire; however, it's still possible for infantry-portable anti-armor weapons to inflict catastrophic damage. The M808B only requires a crew of one, with complete weapons control allocated to the driver, provided the driver is equipped with a neural interface. Otherwise, it requires one driver and one gunner on a coaxial mounted machine gun. As time has progressed, the Scorpion has been modified into more then a half-dozen different versions, however, despite the modifications the Scorpion's psychological aspect and versatility remain unchanged. The Scorpion is equipped with two weapon systems. The 90mm High Velocity Cannon - the M808B's main weapon - fires 90mm Tungsten Armor Piercing Ballistic Capped Rounds at a high velocity, with a three-to-four-second delay between each round. The secondary weapon system is the M247T 7.62mm AP-T Medium Machine Gun, used for engaging infantry. The 90mm cannon, although the standard weapon on the M808, could be considered "light", compared to the 105mm cannon that can be mounted for greater offensive power. Along with its weapons system the Scorpion is equipped with anti-mine detecting software and electronics to help increase safety while in use.

Max Speed: 54 km/h (33 mph)
Mass: 66 metric tons
Max Crew: Officially 2 + 4 (1 driver, 1 gunner, also 4 marines sitting on treads) Unofficially as many as you can fit on the vehicle.
Min Crew: 1 driver
Armament:
- M512 90mm Smooth Bore High Velocity Cannon
- 1 M247T Medium Machine Gun
Shielding/ Hull: Ceramic-Titanium Armor
