"Ach! Sorry, mein freund ..."
It was 6 A.M. at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The sun was just barely beginning to peek out from over the horizon and cast its orange glow over the landscape. The damp, cool air outside caused a light dew to form on the grass and the windows of what the students living there affectionately deemed the "X-Mansion." Unfortunately for two of those living there, this morning began less than pleasantly.
"Get off of me, Ansel!" said an older woman with dark skin and pale white hair. The students there respectfully called her Professor Munroe, but to her team mates on the X-Men, she was Storm. Her eyes began to turn white and thunder was heard not too far off, a sign that Ansel should probably remove himself from her lap immediately.
"My mistake, Professor!" Ansel said, and with a loud BAMF, he disappeared in a cloud of dark blue smoke, reappearing in the room right above him. Clutching his head with his three-fingered hand, he moved towards his closet and began to look through his clothes for an outfit for the day.
"That same dream again ... mein gott, I must be going crazy" he said to himself, pulling a gray and black-striped hoodie from the closet and throwing it onto his bed. A pair of slim black jeans soon followed, with a white t-shirt completing the set. "I suppose it could have been worse, I could have sleep-phased through to Logan's room..." he said to himself, a small grin forming on his fuzzy blue face.

"Mornin' already? Damien sleeps less and less..."
The sun shines through Damien's window, on to his bed. The room itself seemed rather messy, clothes thrown around, cards laying all over the place, and his jacket laid over his desk. The walls seemed rather blank, and no books seemed to be ever open. The room was rarely used, it would seem, if it weren't for the clothes. Upon his bed, Where he laid comfortably, it seemed made, like it was not used the night before. Even though it was early in the morning, he seemed fully dressed. His black shirt was tight on his body, leading down to casual dark pants. Like he was half prepared for his lessons, and half too carefree to mind. Damien laid peacefully, with his boots hanging off the side of his bed, and one arm behind his head.
In his right hand, lifted slightly above his torso, held his lucky deck of cards. He would lift half the deck with his thumb, while his fore-finger would push the bottom half on top, cutting the deck a few dozen times. Then, bend the deck, shooting out the top card into the air. Catching it, he stared at the Queen of Hearts design with a small grin.
"Wonder who else is up... Or maybe Damien take a personal day, no?"
He sat in bed, cutting, shooting, and catching his cards, each time smiling at the Queen of Hearts as it lands between his fingers. Finally, Damien did his trick one last time, as he caught it, he sat forward, without looking at it. The young teenager stretched, while he stood up, and cracked his neck to the side. Walking closer to the door, he grabbed his jacket with his left hand, and threw it over his shoulder. Getting to the open door, he looked down at his card. A different picture than he had expected greeted him.
"Joker? No, no, no, this does not bode well for Damien..."

A few minutes later, Ansel was showered and ready to take on the world. He grabbed his messenger bag filled with doodled-on textbooks and slipped it over an arm before heading out of his room. Thankfully his early and abrupt awakening gave him some down time prior to class; time for a hearty breakfast.
"Scheisse, it feels like days since I've ate" he said, rubbing his growling stomach.
The kitchen at the Institute was thankfully well-stocked and always open, a fact Ansel took full advantage of on a regular basis. The room was similar to an office-style board room with a large table in the center, surrounded by a dozen or so chairs, but on the outside of the room were the glossy black kitchen counter and appliances.
Once he opened the graciously-sized refrigerator, Ansel was faced with a dilemma: fruit and yogurt (as his mom would always suggest), or sausage biscuits. Looking down at his watch/image-inducer, he saw he still had more than a half hour before he would be late for class ... he could have both! In just seconds Ansel had grabbed an apple and carton of strawberry yogurt and then snatched up a sausage biscuit with his tail, lobbing it into the nearby microwave.
"Sehr gut..." he said, biting into the apple and starting the microwave. Today would be a good day.

Walking down the hall, Damien now wore his long jacket, as it trailed on the ground behind his feet. While turning the cornor, he continued playing with his deck in his right hand, and humming a song to himself quietly. Suddenly, Damien sniffed the air. He could smell something being made, which made his stomach grumble. Slipping his deck into his inside jacket pocket, he kept one card in his hand. Queen of Hearts. And kissed it softly, as he flipped it between his fingers nimbly.
"Well, suppose Damien shouldn't pass up a meal. School or not, dis day be long."
Opening the door into the large kitchen, he noticed it to be a tad bit empty. He figured most people were still in bed, or already out the door. Although it was deserted, a blue fuzzy creature stood, preparing food, and eating. Damien instantly knew who it was, and decided to see what he could get out of this. Even though, since Damien already decided he was not attending class, and had all the time in the world. He didn't want to make him own food.
"Ah, so Ansel be up already."
Damien smiles, stepping closer to the blue elf. Though, he did not know Ansel too well, Damien knew who he was, and what his abilities were. From the sight alone, you could guess he was Kurt's son. Sniffing the air, towards the microwave, Damien smirks, and points towards the sausage with his left hand, while his right hand remained at his side, still playing with the card..
"Dat for Damien, yes?"
