Quote: While making your way through Destiny City, you wind up taking a path you’ve never taken before. Maybe you’re following directions, maybe you got lost, maybe you were just looking for a shortcut—things were going good, until you wind up needing to pass through a graveyard. It seems normal enough—until you pass by a grave and get powerful chill down your spine. When you stop and look at it, you see the gravestone has your name; beneath it, your birthday and today’s date. If you leave and return, the gravestone remains, but the name and dates look like they’ve been clawed off. Ptolemy was all for exploring new places, especially when out collecting energy. The way he had wandered was entirely unfamiliar to him, however, and he wondered how he had gotten lost. Hopefully it wasn't Mirrorspace or some other outside force causing him to be disoriented or leading him astray. He'd had more than enough of that after the time spent in the Mirrorscape of Altea's castle.
Everything looked pretty much the same until he eventually found something that looked like a good landmark. Eerily, it turned out to be a graveyard, but a landmark was a landmark. Who was buried there, though? Former residents and loved ones of Destiny City? Perhaps if he took a look, he would get a better idea of where, exactly, he was at. One never knew when it came to the strange happenings that regularly seemed to occur to the city's occupants.
Speaking of occupants, just as Ptolemy was making his way among the headstones of the yard, he thought he caught a glimpse of movement and stopped. Standing very still, he tried to make out who or what was there with him until he realized why he hadn't been alerted to a foreign presence. When he examined the energy signature of the being, he discovered it matched the nature of his own. Were they a Dark Mirror Senshi, too? Or simply another Mirrorspace being like the wraiths? He waited and listened in silence, ready to use his magic if necessary.

The piercing shriek caused Ptolemy to tense and he immediately ducked down behind a few of the larger grave stones, shrinking back from the sound. Was it truly a monster? Was someone hurt? It was a shame he couldn't use his magic if no one else was using theirs because of how his worked off of the magic of others. He didn't know if it was wise to reveal himself just yet, either, so he didn't want to go blindly charging through the graveyard to try to physically attack whatever it was. It wasn't as if his physical combat skills were anything to brag about, anyway.
Taking out his pair of mirror shards, he began to concoct a rough idea of a plan. If this presence really belonged to a being from Mirrorspace, then his mirrorwraiths would likely not do anything to it. However, he could use them as a distraction to lure it away from himself and whomever had made that shriek by keeping its attention on them. Silently summoning the pair of creatures one by one, he let each lose in a different direction.
Hopefully it wasn't too late for whatever poor, unfortunate soul had cried out in fright. It was possible that such a sound had merely been made to scare, alarm, or concern him, but Ptolemy was fairly certain the shriek had been one of real, pure terror rather than one made for a prank or played from a recording. There were other possibilities in regards to the situation being a trap, of course, but he couldn't be positive as to what it was until he got closer. At least it didn't seem like it had been a cry of pain - not yet, anyway.

Despite its proximity, Sadalsuud was unaware of the other aura, as her green eyes continued to stare horrified at the inscription that had been carefully chiselled onto the tombstone–
In Loving memory of Mi-Hi Harrington 20 March 1999 - 23 October 2017 May she rest in peace.
An inscription that was seemingly innocuous - or at least would have been if not for the name and the date.
Because that was her name and her birthday and the final date inscribed on the stone was today's date–
And maybe it was someone's idea of a joke - of a very tasteless joke - but the tombstone looked...
Looked real.
She wasn't aware of backing away from it, until she had backed up a good few paces causing stones from the path to go skittering away from underneath her feet, but even when the tombstone was no longer in direct sight Sadalsuud could still see the words, as the words inscribed on the stone continued to play on replay in her mind.
Nor was she aware of the wraith darting in her direction - or of the way it skittered its way past her as it continued on in search of better prey - but she did catch sight of its flitting shadow as it darted further into the graveyard–
And combined with the other aura that she had only just become aware of, it only served to have her even more on edge.
Her head lifted up, green eyes turning wary as they glanced sharply about her as she took a step towards where the flitting shadow had gone - or where she thought the flitting shadow had gone as she called on her magic, keeping her voice as quiet as she could.
"Clover's Luck!"
There was another dart of flitting shadow and Sadalsuud turned again, green eyes trying their best to track the movement even as she called out sharply "Who's there?!"
And for all the fact that the aura - whilst stronger - was one that apparently one that belonged to her Court, it wasn't enough to stop the two simple words from being uncharacteristically on edge.
xxKitomyx apologies for the delay - yesterday turned out longer than planned. Hope this tag back's okay, but happy to tweak if not :3
