The sun was just barely peeking above the trees, giving the world its first golden glow. The birds were waking and beginning to chirp and little creatures were rustling and foraging. Aiesha had made a little nest in long tall grasses and piled some large nearby leaves to make herself a cushy bed. Usually the sun rising was her wakeup call but this time she was verrrrry sleepy! She had been searching all day and night for a particular ingredient for a basket and mustve gotten determined, she didnt sleep until far into the night! Silly girl! So instead of her usual exploring and gathering she was sweetly fast asleep, her spiky tail curled delicately around herself and her mane falling over one side of her face.

Seren was tromping through the woods, with no real destination in mind just thinking of getting somewhere that he could rest his hooves and relax. As he was turning a corner through the trees he saw something on the forest floor.

Creeping closer he realized it was a mare, a most beautiful mare, fast asleep with her most interesting tail curled oh so delicately around herself and a beautiful mane draped over one side of what looked to him like a very lovely face.

"Wow" He said, abruptly stopping in his tracks and staring down at the peaceful form he had come across.
"Should i wake her or just be on my way?" He wondered aloud watching her breathing patterns, as she slowly inhaled and slowly exhaled in a leisurely pattern.

Aiesha was too used to her childhood of having to fend for herself if she wanted to stay alive so when her subconscious picked up the nearby sounds of whatever was on its way it roused her from her slumber. Her long lashed eyes fluttered open and she slowly lifted her head, preening her feathers in half sleep and yawning cutely.

After readjusting to the morning light she looked about, "Oh dear I must have slept in." She commented amusedly, "Guess I worked too hard last night." She was about to rise when she looked very close in front of her and found what appeared to be a Soq, but it came eye level with her even tho she was laying down! What sort of creature was this? She blinked confusedly since she had never seen anything like this creature before.

Tilting her head with a smile she looked at this small equine with curiosity, is this what woke her then? Was it speaking? how interesting! Instead of rising to her claws she decided to stay at its level, maybe it would be friendlier that way. "Hello there." She wasnt sure if the normal tongue was its forte but wanted to test the waters to be sure.

Seren watched her slowly awaken and felt a little nervous, what if she thought he was being creepy standing so close to her previously sleeping form? He took a slight step back as she seemed to be gaining more of her consciousness.
He noticed that she seemed a bit confused as she looked at him for a moment before smiling a rather radiant smile that almost knocked the sense out of him, after a moment he realized she said hello and gave a small start "Oh hello! Sorry if i woke you, i was just passing by on my way through here and saw you from afar but wasn't sure if you were asleep or what so i came to see if you were in fact okay.."
'Great ramble on like that, now she really will think you're crazy' he thought to himself as he looked down at his front hooves and fiddled with a branch that was laying in front of them.

The mare blinked and let out a soft giggle at the little equine creature. "Oh good you can speak, I was beginning to worry!" She stayed where she was, unphased by the distance between her and the male. Flashing one of her sweet smiles she preened a few feathers and flipped her mane. "Oh you were checking on me? How sweet of you sir! Not many would check on someone like that, I appreciate it." Curving her neck she tried her best to cover a waking yawn.

"Where are you off to sir?" She found this male quite amusing, he seemed nice and quite colorful of character. "I was gathering ingredients for a basket that I am crafting for a friend. But I wanted to find special ingredients for it."

Seren chuckcled a little "I am sorry to make you worry lady, I was just a bit taken by your beauty and lost all elequency of speech. Forgive me if this seems forward but anyone who fails to stop to make sure you were truly okay is severely missing out."

He watched her stifle a yawn noticing how very elegantly she did so, as she asked of where he was off to he looked directly into her eyes and decided on pure truth in his answer as opposed to making up a location. "To be honest I am not really off to anywhere terribly specific this day, I just felt the need to wander I suppose. You say you are crafting a basket? What sorts of things are you searching for?" He was truly curious as he had never seen anyone craft a basket before.

Then suddenly it hit him that he did not even introduce himself, sometimes he was an idiot. Bowing his head to her he said "Oh I'm so sorry I forgot my manners in all this excitement, my name is Seren Silver-Mane, but seren alone is fine, what may I call you?"

Aiesha blushed at his compliment to her beauty, she had heard it alot from others but it always took her by surprise everytime. "Oh my.." She hid half her face in her mane and shifted in her spot shyly. This little male was very suave with words, poetic even and she enjoyed that.

His curiosity about her basket made her quite happy, anyone interested in her hobby was worthy of indulging in their time. She would be sure to fill him in on all he wished to know but introductions were in order at this time. She slowly rose and stretched her stiff muscles, spreading her small wings and working out the kinks and knots from them. "Well its a pleasure to meet you sir Seren," She smiled, "I am Aiesha. Some call me Ai...some dont, it just depends on what you wish to call me." Nodding she looked down at him, not on him to make him to feel small, But truly at him. "And as far ask my baskets.....i was looking for particular gemstones in this area........." She pondered for a while, "If you arent really doing anything, would you wish to join me in ingredient collecting?" She offered the invitation, not really expecting him to agree but wishing to be polite still. I mean, others dont usually wish to DO things persay...but company would be good and make the time pass.

Seren saw her hide in half of her mane and wanted so badly to tell her to please not hide from him, but, as he had just barely looked upon her lovely face could not justify doing so.

Watching her rise up and stretch out was a magnificent thing, and he hoped she didn't think that because he was so small in size that he would be small in heart because no matter what happened in his life he was always big and strong of heart, albeit clumsy..And sometimes rather idiotic, he had to admit..

She did not seem to really look at him, as some did, thinking of his size, and he smiled and said, "Aiesha is a lovely name, and i would absolutely love to escort you to gather your ingredients, and help in any way i can. Should you permit and wish me to do so" Grinning wildly he bowed low to her again and hoped it was not too odd of him to do so, admittedly losing balance just slightly as he did so. "Where to?"

She looked around at her area and pondered where she was off to before she fell asleep, then looked at the sky to check the time. "Ah plenty of time....yes." The mare didnt notice his little balance issue, "Yes that would be great! If you wanted to collect some nice grasses on the way, I miiiight just have the right pouch for you to use." Without any warning she was rummaging through one of her many bags she managed to procure a dark shoulder basket with bright feathers on it, and just as quickly she had it comfortably fastened to him to where he could use it easily. She smiled brightly, satisfied with herself, "allright I think I was heading this way!" Turning she indicated he follow her with a nod.

Aiesha would definentally enjoy his company and help, since he was closer to the ground he could see things better that she may miss. She also hoped his height difference didnt hinder him too badly in his life. But that was just her worrying about things. "also maybe some strong sticks too...mmm yes." She was muttering as she started walking a slow pace.

Seren grinned at her acceptance of his offer, giddy at the thought of helping this lovely mare and getting to know her better.

As she found and draped an extraordinarily lovely dark and feathered basket around him he looked up at her and was once again taken aback by her beauty. He was glad to see she either hadn't noticed or was too polite to say anything about his balance issues.

She had already gone a few steps before he realized that she had motioned for him and started moving, he shook himself, chuckling slightly, and excitedly trotted after her, anxious to see where this adventure was going.

"Is there anything in particular we are looking for m'lady? Are there any specific colors or textures you need?"

Aiesha was pondering what other things to make the basket out of and turned an ear to his questions. The thought about the specifics to the questions and smiled with a nod, "Maybe just the darker strands of grasses of the smooth texture type? I think...You should pick ones that feel "right" hehe you will know when you see them." She giggled and picked up her walking pace a bit, but not too badly.

She took in the surroundings with a happy heart. It was the best time of year, when the laves changed to bright lovely colors and the air became crisp and clean! Even if everything was slowly dying she till found beauty in all of it! The ingredients found during this time of year always produced quite spectacular baskets and seasonal ingredients for her brews! Which reminded her, "Oh and let me know if you get thirsty....I have some homemade brew if you wish to try it when you do!" Her eyes glistened enthusiastically as she spoke of her hobby.

Seren nodded and started to look at all the colors of grasses and noting all the textures plucking some here and there on his way by and putting them in the basket around his neck. Trotting enthusiastically after Aiesha he noted how gracefully she moved over the earth seeming to be as much a part of it as anything they were searching for.

After awhile of searching and picking Seren was in fact feeling parched and remembered her offer of a homemade brew, trotting closer to her he asked "So this brew, is it something you were taught to make or something you created yourself on a whim? I would very much like to try it and you can tell me all about how it is made and such, I admit I am very curious. You seem to be a very crafty lady." He said happily smiling up at her.
