 Diamond Dust is an altruist by nature. Her true calling is charity, and she likes social work or volunteering her free time to good causes. One day she wants to run a donation center or a Lost & Found so she can more easily help others. She's sort of the embodiment of a secular winter holiday spirit, someone jolly and passionate that wants to spread the love.

Crypt Keeper is stoic for a phony so young, which can make him seem condescending or disinterested when actually he is quite open to others and their opinions. He wants to be helpful to disenfranchised folks, the meek, misunderstood, and mistreated where they cannot stand up for themselves. He also just really loves some dang urban legends and cryptozoology.

Mint is a serene bab who appreciates the calmness of the natural world. She's going to be an aromatherapist some day and help all of the phonies around her learn to relax, find their center, and achieve inner peace. Well, that's what she hopes anyway. She's a responsible girl who sometimes bites off a bit more than she can chew when it's in service to others.

Forward and outspoken, Mandrake is a girl who knows what she wants but doesn't always know how to get it. Rules suck when they aren't in her favor but she isn't always bold enough to completely disregard them; she may whine and prod at them but, most of the time, she finds more merit in seeing how far they can bend. When she gets excited, Mandrake has no volume control to speak of and anyone in earshot is subjected to shrill squeaks and screams of joy. The same can be said for if she is unhappy, peppering the air with shouts and wails. While there is no question she can be abrasive, Mandrake is still a well meaning and loyal phony at heart who wants to do what's best for her friends and loved ones.

In contrast with most of the bright and happy atmosphere the Phonyland Amusement Park and all of its inhabitants carry, Gloom Heart feels an all consuming apathy. Where other phonies feel joy, he is indifferent, lethargic, and when they get excited he gets annoyed. He's always at a low point in his life, even when things are going well. It's hard to impress this phony and, most of the time, he'll just pass it off as “okay” and move on to the next worse thing that's happened. Though he is a nihilist by nature, Gloom Heart still pursues his interests and cozies up with the rare like minded individuals (or at least those who can tolerate him). To him, he just thinks the world would be better off with less blind optimism.

She lives only to have fun, to be entertained, and she will do whatever is necessary to enjoy herself. Simple things can often derive this for her, attending night clubs and partying all hours of the day, even a little rough housing gets her blood pumping and she'll be sure to tell you so. No matter what she does, Night Flyer is sure to give it her all but is sure to look her absolute best while doing so. Unfortunately, she is prone to boredom and tires of things quickly, especially if they provide no challenge. As such, she enjoys games of intellect just as much as trials of strength or agility, and Night will not hesitate to tell you if you've disappointed her by going easy on her or not being good at what you're doing. Night can be mysterious and intentionally vague at times, but for the most part she means well and is just having a little fun.

However, please understand that Night Flyer is polyamorous and does not take romance seriously. She will not marry or be a devoted partner, but she has no interest in stringing other phonies along through misunderstandings. So, if you aren't interested in a mutually casual thing between them, please do not pursue her. I'm not interested in romantic drama with her.

She's definitely not interested in pregnancy, or the responsibility of being a parent, but she doesn't mind the idea of her genes traveling around. She is picky though. At the moment, she is breed-promised to someone so it might be a while before she's actually free.

A phony of quiet repose, Dark Water surrounds herself in the dank and dreary because this is where she finds herself most comfortable. The harsh light and excitement of most phonies, their colorful nature and enthusiasm is exhausting and she would much prefer to be steeped in the macabre. Despite this, Dark Water is surprisingly nurturing in her relationships with a natural instinct to care for those lost and wayward, lonely souls like she and her siblings. She tries to hide it behind a mysterious air, something that she comes by naturally but exaggerated and forced as a defense mechanism. She is dutiful and puts the needs of those most important to her before her own. While she has a lack of appreciation for the sunshine and rainbows side of relationships, Dark Water does not wish for the opposite either; she prefers calming ripples and tides to a torrential whirlpool and so, in the face of adversity, she acts as a peace keeper. However, at her heart, she is still a lonely girl desperate for attention and cannot always bite back her own negativity even as she tries to be a good influence and a calming presence like the mother she never had.

Just keep in mind that this isn't a major goal of hers and she's difficult to impress upon. It'll be a very slow burn, so patience is required. More likely to jive with similarly dark phonies but generally gets along with anyone calm that can appreciate dry humor.

If his name were not obvious enough, Dangers Untold thinks himself quite the mysterious fellow. There is a curious allure to danger that he believes everyone holds inside of themselves, a pull to excitement, and truly he is no different. He lives to entertain – himself, that is. Boredom is perhaps the one thing he detests most in life, so he treats it like a game that the whole world is playing whether they know it or not. Proud and arrogant, Danger carries himself like an idol entitled to everyone's time and attention. He is armed with a sharp tongue and a dry wit, backhanded compliments, and exaggerated half-truths. For all of his pomp and circumstance, Dangers Untold thrives most on validation from outside sources. Without the people he treats like mere pawns to bolster his already over inflated ego, he would quickly buckle under the pressure of loneliness. A conniving, rule bending, and spoiled “king” who derives great pleasure in asserting his moral and intellectual superiority, it certainly takes something special to impress upon this unicorn – but, if you manage, he will bend over backwards trying to keep your favor. Just fear him, love him, do as he says, and he will be your slave.

On the outside, Riptide presents as reserved and well put together. He is practical, resourceful, dependable, and ambitious. On first meeting, he can come across as quite the serious phony with his self assured attitude and assertive nature. The truth is, he's not as stoic as he seems. Much like the tide, his emotions have more power than he lets on; Riptide is a surprisingly passionate phony that isn't always sure how to keep his head above water. He can be a bit moody and unpredictable at times but he means well, always ready with a sincere apology when he goes too far. At his core, Riptide wants to help people and that's why he acts as a Lifeguard around the Lagoon of Phonyland. He's taken up the responsibility of keeping non-merphonies safe as well as making sure the mers aren't too infringed upon by land-dwelling folk. Most of the time he's in job-mode, which means he's alert and on guard -- this is the image most have of him and it's a hard one to shake because he takes the responsibility to heart. However, once he's clocked out, Riptide's ability to relax and socialize comes easily; jokes pour from him like a calm stream and his smiles are genuine. He bears no anxiety or self-consciousness when it comes to conversation, an honest phony who always says what he means and lets his actions speak louder than words. Rip is also a bit of a collector, particularly of seashells. He knows the benefits of delayed gratification and will take the time to invest himself in hobbies or new friends if he feels the effort is warranted. Quality over quantity is his motto. Riptide is never one to rush into things, preferring to take his time, but once he is able to immerse himself wholly into something there is nothing that can turn him away from it.
