There was one who predicted Vale's next move. While he was currently working with the city watch, he was not part of the city watch. If they knew they were merely a distraction, one likely to die, so that Duval Sander could get what he needed they wouldn't have been so eager to charge in. With one hand he grabbed a fist full of Vale's hair and with the other he sliced the white locks free. Why didn't he merely stab Vale through when he so clearly had the chance one might be asking? In the years Duval spent training he learnt that people who worked in violent business of murder gained a sort of sixth sense for those with malicious intent. With no intention to harm Vale he presented none. Besides, when he did go in for the kill he would make sure the assassin would not be able to escape. What he didn't expect was for the naked female to come out into hall with a bloodied dirk in hand. The guard seemed hesitant in cutting down the naked female which lead to his death for she did not hesitate to cut him down. It seemed he had a second target to collect from. The guards in the back would turn towards Vale with swords raised, while those in the front tried to back peddle from Azril until they were back to back with their comrads. Provided Vale kept himself busy with the poor guards trapped between the pair of assassin, Duval would simple retreat down the stairs with his prize. If Vale tried to attack him he would have no choice but to defend himself.

Vale Do'urden

There was no heat of battle so great that Vale would not feel a man grab a fist full of his hair and cut it. But Vale found himself occupied killing the bigger fish, the guards still attacking with the intent to kill. He kept the guards trapped between Azril and himself until there were no guard remaining alive to fight back. "I suppose this is where we part. Easier to avoid them if we separate." Vale said through deep breaths as he began to put the rest of his clothing back on. He assembled all of his weaponry and then made his way towards the door. Vale figured trouble would soon be coming for him. Three people in his life had made specific efforts not to kill him but to hurt him and of those three two of them had cut his hair. One was a witch he encountered in the woods. She seemed placid enough but at night cut a lock of his hair and trapped his mind in the body of a gingerbread man who she kept in a cage for a year before Vale got free and killed the woman... while still in gingerbread form. It had been quite the process to reverse that. Even more of a process to ensure it didn't happen again. You could only protect yourself from so much by carving wards into items you kept with you. It wasn't as if he had enough trouble, he still had two rulers to kill.

Azril Nalaam
"Moonhunter"

Azril slid the last of her daggers back into place. The two assassin's had made incredibly short work of the guard, but it was times to leave before more showed up. She avoided killing for free whenever possible. Better to simply vanish, and move onto her next contract. She pushed the window open and sat on the ledge. “We'll have to finish what we started next time. See you around Vale.” She said with a flirty tone, and a half wave before hoping out the window to land gracefully on the cobblestone below.
