In the open plan that was the Captain's office, the commander sat sipping lightly on tea, gazing at the open doors to the outside. She sipped and glance down at some papers before her. Her face tense, taught, tight. Something obviously bothered her. A frown planted against the wrinkled face, adding others to it. Bringing the papers closer to her face, the sound of it wrinkling with every movement she made danced against the quite room.
Nervous murmur outside her doors, nearly everyone feared to enter the lair of the Commander currently. She was shaken. When shaken.... no one has yet figured out how she handles it, every time is different. Tension was there, she could pick it up and cradle it. A small sigh escaped the Commanders lips, head tilted to the nigh sky, eyes glancing toward the far distant stars. Just perhaps they could bring her back. A knock at the door struck the star down, Moriko lowered her head to the papers, contemplating for a moment.
"Do enter, Kigaru." The Commanders voice reeked of old age. Her voice rang out softly and sadly to the women. A small cough indicated the wish of better days. Moriko took another sip before lowering it down to her lap, clasping it gently in her palms. Moriko turned her head toward the women entering her lair, the every sly grin on her face. It made it quite hard to read the women, just why she was needed. "Can I offer you some tea?" Moriko raised her glass "Or perhaps something stronger?" her head nudged to an unknown place, offering others on the table. Allowing Kigaru to enter and take a spot next to Moriko, she gave a quick glance at the women.
"Suppose that doesn't quite matter for our secrete keeper. You've tasted better things, no?" Moriko lightened the air.... yet made it heavy at the same time. Her lips sealed around the cup she brought up to her mouth, taking another sip, studying. "You know why I asked you here?" Her eyes narrowed slightly, scrunching her face subtly.

《 Kigaru Zetsumei 》
Location : Captain Commander Office Company : Captain Commander .. Feelings : Interested...
I just so happened to notice something you did the other day...
Kigaru closed her eyes gently to take in the voice of the Commander, seemingly enjoying the tone and audible tells it was giving off before letting her eyes flicker open to rest on the Commander once again. The cough and indication of her rule was an easy thing to grasp before the offer of tea was presented to her. "You are as kind as ever my Captain. I must decline the offer of strength but I will gladly accept some Oolong tea." she said, ever present to indicate her little favorite vice she always enjoyed when given a chance. She lifted herself slowly before her visage became a blur, a minor display of Shunpo given as her hands grasped a kettle of water and the mixture she desired.
In another jarring motion she was beside the Commander, her own cup in hand before taking the offered seat beside her, pleasant as ever grin showing as she raised her cup and nodded her head respectfully. "Your health. " she spoke before sipping softly on her tea, an exaggerated rumble of content given before her eyes followed the Commanders."Always better but never the best. There are bound to be more things to explore and acquire. I've heard rather favorable things of a new tea mixture." she commented before the inevitable question was asked. Kigaru had no tell or indication aside from the gentle sound of the tea meeting it's holding cup.
"Interesting question. If it was for tea I'd assume we'd also be having it with a certain lieutenant that was investigating the western village outside the walls. Getting the usual rundown of the current state of affairs with the village elder and how they are copeing with the recent rumors of hollow sightings. Or perhaps with the follow up party that was sent, including one if my own charges that has yet to report?" she posed, head shifting over with her grin now baring teeth, the downright sinister smile of hers showing. "Or was it on the matter of the influx of sightings in general? The human worlds abundant vanishing of souls without a trace? I do believe miss Ueda has a handle on such a task along with your own lieutenant Aurora if I'm not mistaken?" she mentioned before a small sip of her tea once again sounded.
"Or is this regarding the failed attempt on another soldiers life in the eleventh branch during a sparing match? I do trust we have the attempted under safe eyes. " she mentioned before turning her face to fully face Moriko. "...Well. Which issue am I to inquire on this evening with such a lovely twilight approaching?" she asked as the last bit of tea slowly slurped from her cup, the rattle of it sounding as she set it aside with her full attention on the Commander now.
...It would be a shame if everyone knew about that...

Moriko gave a soft frown as the women turned down a favorite of hers, liquor. Right about now, the idea of that burning sensation.... sounded extravagant. Many knew of Moriko's love for the strong stuff. Though who could blame her? She had been through hell and back, litterly. Majority of her Captains and whole squadrons had not seen what she had seen. Moriko was the strength of peace. She fought so others may have this peace that rests now. So far the Gotei hadn't had any serious inquires or battles. Moriko would drink to that.
Taking a sip of her tea, she felt a gust of wind, Kigaru grasping at the kettle before her. A small eyebrow lift to indicate a questionable look. Sitting in silence as Kigaru poured herself a glass. "I can raise to that" Moriko offered a gentle smile as the other women offered condolence on the old ladies health. Everyone seemed to be on the edge as the Commander reached a new age every year. Perhaps they expected her death to come sooner than later. The Commander took a sip of the tea and pondered for a moment, surely later? The older lady lowered her tea and set it beside her, hands positioning themselves against her lap.
Eyes wafted over to the the cunning women, her grin nearly always present. She was a cleaver one, that's for sure. The older lady couldn't help but want to figure out exactly what the women was thinking. Just why did this lady join us? Why did she have such interest in anyone... and everything. The older lady gave a sly smile as the younger women reported back to her. Moriko raised her sleeves, flashing the mass amount of tattoos, before folding her arms. Kigaru was seen studying and attempting to figure out the context of Moriko's words before speaking once again.
Her eyes narrowed as the women went off her check list of things that weren't necessarily secrets... but weren't out for the open. Moriko licked her lips and let her expression go flaccid for a moment. 'Sure am glad she's on our side.... If it was a comic, go ahead and insert the the sweat bloop. Snapping out of her comical relief, Moriko faced the lady fully now. "You do sure keep tabs on...." Moriko paused for a moment, attempting to think of more articulte words... "everything." perfect.
Moriko clasped her hands together before speaking "However none of that is relevant to why you were brought here. Rumors are spreading that a lieutenant has gone missing however... that is not true." Moriko brought to Kigaru's attention a sheet of paper that wore a picture along with some scribbled writing "One of the highest nobles has been kidnapped."

The smile on Kigaru widened, making her appearance even more eerie. Moriko's eyes wafted on the females appearance as she raised her right arm to press against her chest gently. A small chuckle cam forth from Kigaru's mouth, making a small joke. Moriko's flaccid face turned to a small smirk, glad the women didn't take offense. Her composure relaxed a bit, a small shake of her head. "Very true."
Her arms crossed against her chest, tattoos slightly present as Kigaru glanced over the picture that was present rather quickly yet memorized it easily, as seen by her tense face. Her hand drew and retracted the picture with sharp motions, as if these few seconds mattered, every second mattered. Moriko's eyes followed the paper, as Kigaru rested it back on the ground, her eyes examined the picture again. "Demanding money." Moriko stated, continuing to look at the paper "And information on things we cannot give up." Her eyes moved to look at Kigaru.
"We're not bargainers, beggars, anything of that such. They gave a location to drop off the money." Moriko pulled from her lap another paper that had been folded, passing it off to Kigaru. Her hands would then fold against each other once more, eyes set to the night sky for a moment. "Public punishment will do nothing besides show a dark side to the Gotei. Thus why you were brought here." Her gaze set back on the women. She was sure eager on using this as a public play. "Things will be kept to the utmost secret. Use that location for your will. Perhaps it can lead to the real location." Moriko gestured to the air "Stealth is more up your ally than mine. Obviously I'm best going straight forward into battle... however the information this noble has cannot be spread. Once finding the noble, secure them. After that, everyone in sight is to be executed. Clean, simple, leave no evidence." Her eyes set to the picture once more "Perhaps you can get information on this new bandits as well. Payback perhaps?" Her voice inquired a little dirty play. It could never hurt.

《 Kigaru Zetsumei 》
Location : Captain Commander Office Company : Captain Commander .. Feelings : Interested...
I just so happened to notice something you did the other day...
Kigaru was visibly more focused but her smirk was ever present. It was even more so when Moriko gave a small relaxed look and a shake of the head. Kigaru noted all of it. Every second of action when she focused on an individual. But that was enough attention diverted from the real goal, her eyes once more resting on the paper. Money. A monetary goal in mind was far too simple for the likes of Kigaru. What's the point in wealth when you'll be wanted? Can't really spend what you get if your heads on the line. Information however. That was something Kigaru could understand.
"Interesting. Information is of the higher value here. " she stated as her hand slowly began to flick her earrings. Thinking and mulling over options again. When the paper was presented she quickly snatched it, half examining it before slipping it into her attire, her smirk once more growing as Moriko spoke on the public matter. "We used to ensure everyone was aware of the criminal and how we handled their sentence. It gets the point across. But if that's how you wish it to be handled. " she spoke before slowly lifting herself to her feet, giving Moriko a respectful bow.
"You give yourself far too little credit. I'm sure you could easily deal with this. But, I will allow you this lovely evening off. And I assure you. I will gain any intelligence these fools hold. The report will be on your desk when you wake. " she spoke with one last smile before her form seemed to flicker, her feet slipping into her sandals before once again vanishing in a gentle rush of air. Like a dog released from their chain she raced, darting along the rooftops and streets as the night sky continued to rise. Her gaze was intense and her focus had been directed. Someone had eluded her gaze and they would pay.
As she neared the location she slowly adjusted her attire, setting her official coat aside to wear her simple soldier garments. With her zanpakto resting along the small of her back she step towards the target location for money exchange, her hands sheepishly gripping the paper as the smile she always wore vanished, now showing a very nervous and from a glance, inexperienced Shinigami simply sent to deliver the request. "H..hello?" she called out, a mere shell of her usual stature. She had played the role before and was banking on the chances of a carrier to get the delivery. She shuffled about and held her paper tighter, the internal rush of glee starting to build. She couldn't wait to personally address these traitors.
...It would be a shame if everyone knew about that...

The damage was done yet Moriko was expecting Kigaru to reverse the effects of this matter, quietly and quickly. It was far more up Kigaru's ally as well. When the idea of Moriko handling it was placed, she couldn't help but give a side glance at the other women. She wasn't sure if she should laugh or not. Just why in the world would she intervene in a matter that was perfect for Kigaru. The side glance was meant for confusion, questioning. Guess you can never know exactly who you're working with.
Her glance was forward now as Kigaru previously bowed to the women, respectfully placing her input in the matter. Keeping her tongue inside, a small nod of graduated. At least the thought counts, right? Moriko's stature showed comfort in the decision that was Kigaru. Her arms crossed her chest, however meant not constricted. Her spine sat upright as Kigaru was set free to her own pleasure.
A rather tough looking man bore a crest of nobility, the crest of the beloved missing noble... how odd. His stature did not show nobility, but army. A sword hung at his hip, he walked in a parameter pattern, hand constantly on the butt of the sword. His body stiffened as a nervous hello wafted over the area, his eyes darted toward the awkward clutch of a women. He took a powerful stance "State whom you are!" He clutched against the sword tighter.

The man flexed, straightened his posture at the sight of the lady. The older gentleman seemed.... misplaced by her existence. She looked so frail compared to him. Being quite older, he was rigged, body exhausted. Compared to her...... he resembled death. The older man felt his face flush with embarrassment. Such a beautiful lady in his appearance. Completely flustered by the fact she was whom the commander sent. Just why in the world would they send someone like her? Did the Commander think this not a threat?
Relaxing the grip on the hilt of his blade, his stature relaxed a bit. Then again, it was great it was a women, a pretty women at that. The older man took in the women's appearance once more. Before he could enjoy his mind, the women spoke up in a squeaky voice, 'Ali Barlow!'. The older man blinked out of surprise. Holy crap she was sure nervous, why would she be? Did she know? No way... the way she fumbled on her words, surely she couldn't... The man took a closer step toward her.
He tilted his head slightly, glancing down at her. "Why would they send a book keeper to this?" his voice piped up, obviously confused. Brow furrowed as he continued to glance at nervous Nancy. Right hand raised to scratch at the back of his head "Guess handling money shouldn't take a warrior to do. We're too stupid for that sort of stuff anyways." The man began to joke, the split second of worry and doubt on the women seemed to famish by his own will. He took in her appearance, noticing the paper she clutched to.
"Symbol?" The man turned his face downward, forgetting he bore the crest of nobility. Ah, that's right. "Uh-yeah." He spoke awkwardly, tapping the metal plate for a split second as he seemed to forget. "But. Wheres your money?" The man spoke, questioning. His eyes trailed around her body, no way could she be hiding that large amount of money. Was she plotting something? Was it hiding elsewhere? The man seemed awfully confused about this whole matter.
