Zindel's eyebrows slid up. "Wow, yeah, that's uh... Pretty specific. Good on you, she's got talent." He rustled his hair some. Odette definitely had the eye of the crown on her. They wouldn't survive, he didn't understand how they even thought they could. Gaze moving to the advertisement, he glanced it over and understood only the basic words on it but couldn't exactly piece them together. Looking up at her, he blinked and nodded. "I'm an okay singer, but yeah, that sounds like my kinda deal." He wasn't that bad a singer, and with practice he could probably get better, but it wasn't something he was actively working on. "Where is this leading up to?" He sort of got what she was implying, but he wanted it laid out so he didn't mistake it for anything more. "Do you want me to spy on her or something?"

"Spy??? Spy?????" Regina looked at Zindel in open, surprised, innocent astonishment. She made sure to look slightly offended as well, for good measure. Maybe the kid had a wire on him, maybe he didn't. Either way, she'd never say something like that out loud.

"Mister Tagino I dunno what kinda employer you think I am, but I don't spy on my employees." Turning from him, she walked over to the table. Putting the papers down, she leaned against it, arms folded, but still smiling. "I just think you could make friends with Odette for me. Take her out. Show her a good time. Talk with her a bit, keep her happy. And let me know how she's doin'."

Zindel wasn't convinced, staring at her in disbelief. She was pretty obvious with where she was going with it, but his lips were sealed. He was thankful he'd refused the mic Chiara offered-- If she knew about it, she'd go ballistic finding out ways to somehow ruin it. It seemed the Queen wasn't trusting her newest employee, and he had to find out if she was doing anything particularly messy. "Yeah, yeah, how could I ever imply that." He voiced, a mere touch of sarcasm on his tone with a slight shake of his head. "Hmm..." He looked at the paper again, finding the offer extremely tempting. Taking this offer meant he had a duty to the Queen to find out what she was up to.

Then again, he'd already abandoned his friends.

"Alright." He said firmly, seeming particularly amused by the idea. If he did become close friends with her, he'd definitely get more attention. "I'll play your game. Consider her happy." Zindel stated firmly. He was getting a good part no matter what. It was time to learn to read.

Clasping her hands, Regina rubbed them together happily. At least he had picked up on the gist of things without any prompting - for a moment earlier she had worried that she might have to sit him down and teach him about subterfuge. After all, this was the redblood who had drawn Gerard's wrath at the party. But he seemed to be a quick learner. "Great. Great. No games though. I don't play games, unless it's bloodfest. This is a job, and it'll pay like one. Nothing too obvious of course, but I find beetles are a better motivator than loyalty, eh?"

Chuckling a little, she went to bundle up the rest of the pages. There wasn't much. The advertisement, the latest draft of the script, which she left behind on the table, and the promotional materials that she hadn't handed over to Zindel already. As she folded them over into a package, she snapped her fingers. "Oh. One last thing. I don't wanna be accused of favoritism, so you'll have to go around gettin' an interview and in on your own. But you seem confident enough in your talents, so no worries there huh? Been nice talkin' with you. I'll be in touch, once I see your name show up in the cast list."
