1. it wasnt a appearence change, in the ability i stated you needed to be cut with the blade, i changed it to be cut by any part of the shikai because it also has claws.

no you put soldier in the subject and of course they would affected differenly they are off higher spiritual pressure than you so maybe for them half as much

The only thing that would effect them differently would be they are harder to cut...if they were to get cut then the explosive damage would be the same, as the crystal partially enters the cut and therefore bypasses the skin, which is what the shinigami can harden using their spirit pressure, it would effect them the same once they are cut. the only ones that would probably get full defenses (even inside the skin) are arrangers, as i believe they just posses natural defenses vs everything. so...the explosive outer damage of skin would be reduced, but not the internal attack that causes bleeding.
