The young bartender, no more than twenty-six, idly cleaned a glass that he himself had dirty an hour before.

He had inherited the bar from his father when he passed and he had hoped to turn it into a good safe place for local gays to have a place to drink and mingle but the place seemed dead. Occasionally a few of his friends would come in and get some drinks but the large bar always felt a little empty.

He sighed and ran a hand through his loose brown hair his green eyes going to the door far down the bar counter to the left with the neon rainbow sign flashing open just waiting for someone to come in.
