Sharrkan's head lifted at the sound from the door. It took a moment for his weary mind to make sense of the words from Mikilay, but when the words registered he sat straighter in his seat. The Mer male offered to leave the report on his desk, but he wanted to hear the smaller males thoughts on it so he spoke up, mind waking more fully with renewed vigor.

"Later. First I want to hear your observations and personal thoughts on the contents of your report. If you are not too overly tired from your trip?" For as important as locating Tua'ren was, there was little point to over-working themselves to ill health and such.

Yuei was in his own little world as he pulled apart and fixed up the massive, by current Atlantean standards, ship that he and Maltiv had agreed upon as being the only one not only in decent enough condition to be reparable but also large enough to handle the trip down and back. He'd need to completely, or near-completely, disable the weapons systems to a more basic level of defensive and offensive ability because it was designed to be a beast in battle. The kind of ship that would wipe out cities with one blast of a behemoth. Heck, it could probably vaporize a mountain.

They would instead use all that power to enable the ship to travel to the surface and get them all back up to Atlantis in one piece. He was currently working on that part actually, rerouting the weapons to the engines and flight stabilizers. They would very likely not need any kind of weaponry, but he felt vulnerable with nothing and so left a low-energy gun for offensive purposes if needed after all. Their shield would be kept as is due to the need for it when passing through the ozone that separated them from the surface. The city was within the last layer between outer space and the earth, far enough in to be protected and still considered part of the Earth, but not so close as to go down there without shielding themselves.

Luckily Tua'ren was Royalty and his crystal would house the power needed to protect him from the heat of entry into the innermost layer of the Earth's atmosphere. He'd have probably looked something like a falling moon or something, so that would be the best way to check for him. Ask after any large 'comets' that fell around the time of his disappearance. Yuei was not really looking forward to that conversation or part of the search. Who knew if the surface was even advanced enough for them to communicate? What if some primitive race thought him their deity and refused to let him go or worse, thought sacrificing him was the way to go about it?

Yuei was one of a few too many that didn't keep any sort of an eye for the progress made by humanity.

The Mer Folk paused and looked at his feet. "I'm not too tired. My thoughts are that the Kiiris leader is very strong and very caring. He is running the entire operation to find Tua'ren. It didn't take very much to get his agreement to work together with the Tribe to find him. I'm not even sure if the man sleeps. His presence is so powerful that even though the Atlantians do not really like Kiiris they listen to him. And out of everyone in that Palace, I believe he is the only one of two who truly wishes to find the young prince alive. The other being the prince's Partner," he said.

He paused and looked up at Sharrkan. "I also do not think Tua'ren is still on Atlantis. With how extensive the search has become there would have at least been sightings at this point. Those are my thoughts and observations," he said.

Tua'ren's distress eventually woke Adam up. He was confused at first. Who was crying? He came out of his room in a half asleep haze and looked around. There was Tua'ren on his cot, looking distressed and in pain. And there was Shinichi looking over at Tua'ren with concern.

Adam's long strides ate up the room and he knelt by the bed. He placed a reassuring hand on Tua'ren's forehead and then looked at Shinichi.

"How long has he been like this?" he rasped in a sleep hoarse voice.

"..." dark eyes slipped closed as the leader of the Mazoku sat back with his head tilted upwards."Perhaps too caring, if he is pushing himself so hard. Then again, I do not blame him for it. Tua'ren's very life is in danger the longer it takes to retrieve him from wherever he is."

Sharrkan spoke up after a moment of silence to simply process the report. His gaze was sharp in anger at the last part about how few truly wished the prince's return. Surely there were more in support of the prince though? Well, the traitors would receive just punishment in time. Sharrkan contemplated asking permission to reopen their 'prison' for those fiends that plotted harm on the prince.

He thought for a moment, before nodding in agreement that it was unlikely Tua'ren was up in Atlantis. That could only mean...

"The Surface." Sharrkan had a grim expression upon his face as he spoke the word. If Tua'ren was on the surface, they might have a long search ahead of them, as there was a great deal of land to cover on the surface, not to mention all the water that would likely result in the Prince's death and the Fall of Atlantis for good.

Shinichi's head whipped around to see Adam approaching the distraught male. He shook his head and replied.

"I don't know, I woke up only a few minutes ago and he was already like that. I thought it was just a nightmare or something... But, he... he looks like he's also in pain." Shinichi was unsure what to do, and remained feeling useless while watching the two others.

Tua'ren slowly became aware of other's nearby, due to the shock of a hand touching his forehead and cooling the mild fever he was also suffering from. The voices washed over him, more understandable now than they were before. In fact...

"You could ask me directly... I am not so far gone that I cannot speak for myself.... I-I am fine... I just... feel so [lost] without [my-partner-/-my-pack]" Some of the words were still in Atlantean, but he was surprisingly fluent in Japanese now. There was also a slight pained slur to the words.

Mikilay understood the anger in Sharrkan's eyes. Tua'ren was a dear friend of their leader's and probably the only person that Sharrkan could be anyone besides 'the boss' around. And now Tua'ren was missing and only a tribe of Kiiris were really putting any effort into bringing the Prince home.

"I also think that some of the resistance is because the man is Kiiris and there are still many in the Palace who do not like them even though their past Queen and their Prince are part Kiiris. Atlantian politics at their finest even though this is an emergency," he said quietly.

He walked toward the young man on the throne and his expression was urgent. "I think we need to go aid Maltiv now. He agreed to your offer of help. There is no reason not to go now," he said. Though he had moved closer, he had stopped a few steps away. He didn't want to crowd Sharrkan and the closer he got to the white haired male, the shyer he became.

Maltiv was alone and twitching from the effects of the Tohan. Well. Alone except for his and Tua'ren's partners. The lion was curled up around the wolf, offering her support and comfort as she suffered from the effects of separation. And the lion suffered from the effects of worry for his own partner. No one had ever had as much Tohan in as short a time as Maliv had had recently. He wasn't sure what would happen to Maltiv if he kept it up.

Adam frowned. Both of them were just hovering around the small male at this point. And then something shocking happened. Their alien spoke Japanese and quite well too.

"What the hell? You can speak Japanese now?" he asked in shock. He looked over his shoulder at Shinichi. "Shinichi, could you get a bottle of water for him out of the fridge?" he asked. He rested a hand on Tua'ren's forehead to feel his temperature.

Tua'ren lifted his golden gaze to the male that spoke first. His head tilted to the side as he was given a name for the new language. Tua'ren nodded in agreement then in disagreement before he spoke again.

"Still learning. Missing much. Will take more time." The choppiness of his sentences reinforced the statements. He would take a little longer yet before he would be able to converse fluently. This would not help in reading the written form though, for Atlantean Magics only enabled one to learn foreign languages quickly as it had once been necessary to be able to speak with other nations for trade and such.

Not that any of their old trade partner nations remained, having fallen into obscurity with the passage of time. Some of the languages of the world today were born from tongues that Atlanteans had once known, so some were easier to 'relearn' than others.


Shinichi was surprised to hear almost fluent Japanese from the, for lack of better term, alien boy. True, there were some words that were like nothing he'd ever heard before, but mostly it was perfectly understandable Japanese. He nodded and made a sound of agreement to the request to fetch water and stood swiftly to fetch it.

OOC: ugh.... >.> sry, almost totally forgot about posting this again... Got side tracked and then was all 'I'm soo sleepy....=_=' but i got this one post for you... Sharky and Yuei will likely be done tomorrow after work at the latest... will see if i can get something typed up in the morning.
