Voices. Movement, lots of noise, it caused set of pale ears to swivel backwards. Bright green eyes looked around as small hooves carried the owner through the bushes. Jamaica peered out from her hiding place as the sounds of others grew louder the closer she got. Who were these others? Were they friendly? It sure sounded like they were having a lot of fun, who ever they were. Taking a few steps out of the bushes, she looked around in the bright area before skittering to the shade of a tree. The bright colors of two bodies caught her attention before their voices came to her again. They were talking like they knew each other, quite well in fact.
Tail flicking slightly behind her, the small flutter mare took to a larger size, coming to be almost the same size as those near her. Timid she was as she crept forward remaining as close to the shadows as she could. Stopping a moment, her wings flicking at her sides, these faces looked familiar, but she didn't know from where. Wanting to ask she did, but could she find the courage to do it? Nope, she wasn't about to make the first move, this was their domain, she was the trespasser.

As the clouds lazily moves across the skies, there's a occasional bursts of red along with orange and green popping in and out of the clouds with laughter filling the air while two soquilis are soaring across the blanket of the trees, heading to the unknown destination. "Where are we going, mama?" Malibu swoops through the cloud and ducks under her smaller mother whom squealed with laugher before fluttering away from the larger wings. "Are we going to see the family again?" Malibu sang the words out while she spreads her wings out, dipping across her mother's body before floating next to Coventina. "Or are we going to go and laze around on the beach, hunting for seashells?" Her green eyes dances with amusement because her mother have a thing for seashells and have a small cave decorated with the seashells from all over the world.
Her mate is out and about with his sibling Eirian so the flutter decided to seek out one of her children and go exploring and it just happened that Malibu was already in the immediate vicinity looking for her. A loving and warm smile spreads across her muzzle as her eyes lands on more larger female trotting/dancing up toward her and next thing she knew, they are already off into the skies with their wings spread out, soaring and enjoying the sun and wind. "Where are we going?" She echoes her daughter's question before she grins at the parrot looking female. "Beaches! I think that's where we will find your daddy and aunty Eirian!" She says with a laugh before she hastily flutters out of the way when her daughter swooped down under her with a loud laughter. "Careful, my little one. you don't want to knock me out of the air!" She scrunches her muzzle up at Malibu, drawing another exuberant laughter from her daughter.
As she swoops down near the trees, she spotted a very familiar figure lurking near the trees right before she noticed her mate and her sister in law frockling in the clearance. "Jamaica?" She audibly whispers to herself while the hope that have been in her heart starts to blossom more. Ever since Jamaica got lost when she was a little one, Coventina never gave up searching for her daughter.
"Jamaica?! My sister? Where is she?!" Malibu sqawked as she excitedly starts to swoop lower to the treeline, looking for a sister she never met before. "Jamaicaaaaaaaaaaa, come out! I want to meet you" She calls out as she tries to find her sibling. Her hooves paddles the air as she floats over to her father and the family that is starting to appear. "Is Jamaica here? Or is she hiding again?" She frowns at them sadly.
-------------
Eirian perks up as she hears the disturbance along with the familiar laughter and squawking and her hooves starts to do a little excited dance while her eyes lights up with joy when they meets her brother's. It looks like an spontaneous family reunion is happening right here in the clearance when she sees her sister bursting through the treeline along with her nephew trailing behind. "Tahiti!!" She squeals as she trots over to her sister, nuzzling her excitedly before she peers at Key Largo with a huge smile on her face. "Judging from the grumpy pant looks on your face, You are Key Largo." She winks at her nephew before another familiar red body bursts out out of the skies with hooves paddling the air.
Her heart stutters as her niece starts calling out a name she thought she would never hear again- "Jamaica" and she cranes her neck, looking around because her family might be big when it comes to pranks but they will never pull this kind of cruel joke on each other. So that means.... Eirian's eyes connects with her brother's eyes while they widens with hope and excitement.
As the small flutter female lands down next to her mate, Eirian could see the thin sheen of unshed tears in the female's eyes which means either she really did see Jamaica around or its just mirages playing tricks on them. "Oi! No crying. I am sure Jamaica is around1" She noses Coventina whom just leans against Cocomo briefly. "Let's go and find her! If both of you guys see her then that means she's nearby." She glances at Cocomo and he could see the concern yet barely restrained excitement in her eyes.

Commotion, banter and a lot of fast movements, colors a blue before her eyes as family started bounding in, in droves. Shrinking back a little, rustling the leaves as she went. Head lowering she watched one stallion wander towards her. He called her sister, but she didn't remember anyone of these faces. She knew them as blurs, faint images from her past but she didn't know the importance about them. Shuffling away from the larger stallion that wandered her direction, his mood a bit grumpy causing her to shrink in size a bit to be smaller then she already was.
Looking back towards the gathering drove of bodies. There were many colors, shapes and sizes. One with wings like her own, rest either had no wings or feathered ones. Tilting her head she watched them for a moment before more noise came from the gathering.
Jamaica, Jamaica.
It was coming from all directions, how did these ones know her name? Pressing forwards a little, her tiny hooves carrying her the distance more slowly then it had been moments ago. Pass through the bushes that had been used for her safety. She looked up at those that were gathering, her size to be about that of a foal, maybe a little larger. Her bright eyes looking at them all.
"How do you know my name?" Was the only thing she could ask, greatly confused as to how those that gathered felt so familiar, but so alien to her at the same time..
Nahele followed behind his fast paced mate, her actions that of a crazy mare as she taunted her nephew into following her. Shaking his head, he followed at a slower clip, still within sight, but far enough back to not strain himself. Nahele wasn't one for really moving too quickly, being laid back and watchful. He was pleased that he didn't have to chase his mate. Well, not at full banter, when she was trying to leap off cliffs and try to fly. Those were moments he had to go full out and catch her before she leaped to her doom.
A sigh escaped him as they reached the gathering force. Key being able to take his treasure back from his aunt. Did she really have to such a thing to the poor guy? But that was what he mated into a pack of playful souls who were full of energy. While he wasn't so much. His pace slowing, Nahele looked around at the faces that were now his family, at least part of it. His own blood family a large one as well.
"Have you had your fun for the day Tahiti dear?" he asked as he came up beside her.
Then there was the commotion of someone named Jamaica? This was news to him. The green stallion with the wild orange hair looked around as the others started getting excited. But he had learned that Parrots, like these, got excited about a lot of things. Standing back on the fringes of the crowd he watched. This was going to get interesting to say the least, with a group this big.

Tahiti's ears flicked forward curious to all the banter her family was making all around her. It hadn't been this lively since she was a foal even then it wasn't a parrot convention. So much chatter and curious notions toward her niece Jamaica made her grin in spite of herself. Gearing herself to an introduction she stopped short noting Nahele had followed her the whole way to this location. Even though he'd lecture her on safety she still was amused by him taking some days to relax only to have to chase her till she tired of her game. Hooves steadfast and quick she regarded wings as crutches in the family line.
"Nahele....." she spoke with a grin, "Glad you could make it". It was almost comical the way she dipped her head toward her family placing her fight for outward toward them. Then a wiggle of her rump shimmied her back to her legs to bring her upright again. Winking at her green-edged mate she giggled, "Standing on the sidelines is not in any way meeting the family silly". Playfully she nipped at his muzzle trying to get him to budge and be a little more conversational. Secretly, Tahiti pondered how she'd get her mate more active but never aloud in hearing range. It was her little perks carrying out her shenanigans that clearly made the stallion get motivated. Seriously though she planned one day to jump off that high peaked cliff south of the grazing ground. The exhilaration of falling while the wind gushed against your face was just too inviting. Repercussions they asked in which she'd answer "sure" but the feeling that was where the satisfaction came from. Who knows maybe she would jump and sprout wings just for attempting such a crazy stunt. Noticing Eirian coming her way she grins, "Heyas sis!" then nuzzles her back, "Long time no see huh?" A family fest of colorful banter and over lively critters. Now this was definitely what she was missing in her life.
Rolling his eyes in regards to his niece he made a grump noise then returned his gaze to his scared sibling, "We're parrots. The flock knows their own somehow. We have decent memories". The stallion looked at her trying to not be intimidating this time around. He wasn't a mean spirited stallion like the others thought him to be more so he was a serious creature. Silliness wasn't something in his nature he paused in his thoughts. Though his mate full of youth and bright character made him a much better stallion. Looking downward at the ribbon he smiled in spite of his normal nature. Zorian was the one thing that balanced him in a cynical world of disrespect and laughter. Clearing his throat he looked at his sister again, "It might do both of us a bit of good to see the family again". He couldn't believe his words betraying him in a "cracker family feast" moment of sincerity.
Pulling himself away from Jamaica he took the initiative letting her to rest upon her thoughts on her own time. She had herself so hunkered down in the grass it was a wonder anyone would have seen her anyway. Gritting his teeth he walked toward his family knowing his father's eyes were watching upon him in a supervised body language. Grumbling to himself swiveling his ears he noted just how many of the flock had arrived. His other aunt Eirian of course pointed out who he was in lovely manner. It seemed they all were in this state of ambrosia filled with sugar as they bantered quickly always saying his sister's name.
Using a voice not so extreme he tried avoiding the hard-edged response, "She's here yes. You might want to dial back the banter a bit though. She's scared out of her mind right now."
Cocomo raised a brow watching his son talking to their youngest. As hardcore serious as Key was he was pondering the notion of his eldest son scaring the living daylights out of her. The flock had scattered over the years so relief was in order just seeing his daughter again even if she shied away from them all. Then he paused as his own mate arrived with Malibu in tow. He couldn't help but grin with a toss of his head forgetting his son to greet his mate in a squawking serenade he was known for, "Coventina... and Malibu so good you could join us!" Sauntering over he lipped her muzzle then nudged Malibu, "Your sister is here yes. She's a bit nervous I think". Personally he thought he'd leave out the idea of Key Largo bullying her but seeing his son walk away toward them he perked a brow. The response of Key Largo wasn't as severe as his tone usually carried but he was still his own serious self. The brightly colored winged stallion was a bit dumbstruck but he laughed it off silently to himself, "Alright then. I think we should let her come out to greet us on her own". It seemed strange heeding his son's advice and yet it was factually the best course of action.
Stepping forward he spoke outward in a normal voice, "Jamaica when you are ready you can join the flock. Your mother and I have missed you very much as has the family". Dipping his head he looked at the others hoping they'd wait till the scared flutter donned her bravery willingly joining the flock. Most of them were giddy with joy right now so asking for a toned down version of the family line could be asking the impossible.

As her daughter's tentative voice fills the air verifying her idenity, the older flutter was overcome with unadulterated joy and love while her eyes fills up with tears that starts to spill down her cheeks when she stares at the meek flutter that is edging closer them but still maintaining the distance. "Oh Jamaica..." Coventina's wobbly voice says as she floats over to her daughter, tears constantly rolling down her cheek but anyone looking into her eyes could see that those are tears of joy. "My little one..." She knows that Malibu and others are starting to circle around her.
"...You are safe, Jamaica. I won't let anything hurt you ever again." She sniffles as she tentatively reaches out with her muzzle to try to connect with her daughter's muzzle when she desperately wanted to cuddle up with her and nuzzle her all over to make sure she wasn't dreaming once again.
Eirian laughs joyously as her family seems to be gathering together, drawn in by the invisible bonds that connects all of them together and she dances excitedly in front of her sister Tahiti before her eyes peers at the green stallion curiously. "Oooh!!!!" Her eyes goes wide as she slowly starts to realize that her sister was bringing a mate home. "You got a mate, sis!" She squeals as she flutters her wings out excitedly while she goes to inspect the green stallion without asking for permission so random nuzzle, pokes and inspection went underway.
"Hm... He seems acceptable." She tries to sound serious but the laughter in her eyes betrayed her mood before she turns her head toward the small scene that is happening when Cocomo quietly extended the invitation to the niece she only saw once when she was a filly. Her heart clenches painfully as she sees the pain and joy in her sister in law's eyes when they connected with her long lost daughter. "Jamaica..." She decides that the long lost family member needs to remember where she came from. "Hiiiii!! Welcome back to the flock, niece. I am your aunty Eirian. I was the one that was sneaking in sweets for you." She winks at her conspiratorially while she moves up to right side of Coventina, not stepping over the invisible boundary line that the mother have set up.
Malibu stares at her sister with wide disbelief when the location of her sister were pinpointed out by her family members and she tilts her head to side staring at Jamaica in mute shock. "You are Jamaica??" was the first thing that came out of the parrot's mouth and she gets a reprimanding glance from Coventina and Eirian because it seemed rude to ask a soquili that kind of question. She spreads her wings out as she flashes them all an contrite look before she moves up toward the meek sister and smiles at her widely. "I am Malibu or Mal if you remember me. I am your sister." She moves closer to the flutter with an excited smile.
"Oh my goodness! You know what we should do?! Play tag. I am sure everyone would love to play that game. Are you up for it?!" She squawked out the words excitedly and she does a little silly dance in front of Jamaica before her eyes looks up over the smaller flutter's head, spotting another familiar body approaching them. "YAY!! More of the family is joining us!! I think we should do introductions. We are perfectly harmless, Jamaica.. I promise!!" ----------
A ripple of golden and sea foam colored body could be seen through the relatively thick foliage as the large stallion runs through the jungle, feeling a particularly strong pull toward the clearing near the beach and in an usual rainbow parrot manner, he is answering that call. Orange-reddish eyes flicks all over the place as the stallion maintains vigilant while he moves through the jungle because his father and mother always have drilled it in their heads that even though jungles are fun but dangers always lurks around the corners. As Tropical Oasis moves closer to the destination, he notices a sudden surge in the number of parrots hanging around in the trees and a huge smile spreads across his muzzle because whenever a rainbow parrot family converges, there will always be parrots hanging around.
As he draws closer, he could hear the familiar laughter and voices filling the air and he couldn't help himself so he leaps across a thick bush separating him from the family and squawked loudly to announce his arrival. "Let the party start! Tropical Oasis is here!" He trumpeted the words out just before he noticed that the situation is somewhat solemn and almost everyone is focused on a particular shy flutter.
Since he is a young one, he haven't seen or met any of his nieces and nephews when they were fillies so he wasn't sure if the shy flutter is the long lost daughter that he hears about a lot from his family. "Is that Jamaica? Is she finally back home or is it a mirage we all are experiencing here?" He frowns, not sure how to react to this while he moves closer to the flutter. "If you are a real thing.. then I am your uncle... Tropical Oasis and its my pleasure meeting you, my little one."

Nahele looked at the one that came close to him, her wings at her sides. Most his family had wings, he was blessed without the feathered appendages. But all the same, he liked watching those with wings dance and frolic in the large expanse of the sky. Then there was his mate, she didn't have wings like himself, but she was always trying to fly. Phantom wing syndrome he had had concluded, to himself at least. He wasn't about to put this out on the table. When this new mare started poking at him, Nahele moved away a little turning an eye towards her.
"Mind where you're poking, there miss." was all he said before turning back towards Tahiti. "do you think I could leave you alone, to tease the poor stallion? Really, that would be rather uncaring of me. Don't you think?"
Flicking his tail slightly his attention turned towards the small mare that had appeared. Frightened as she was, she seemed to be holding her own for the most part. This distraction didn't last long before the mention of a game of tag started ringing about the ranks. It sounded fun at the very least, he was sure to be it for a while if he took part. He wasn't exactly the most speedy of creatures on any given day.
Everyone started moving towards her, the larger flutter mare came first before a more colorful mare. Stepping back slightly, she didn't know what to make of these two. The flutter looked familiar, she had the same wings as she did. The more colorful mare had wings like a bird, were they really related in some way? When Malibu appeared at the other side spouting about being her sister, everything was still a mess and confusing. Then there was the stallion.. Then again there were many of them here. There was the grumpy one that had walked past her, then there was the one that looked like the colorful mare.
Shaking her head, Jamaica made herself larger, one that didn't seem as dauntingly small. She was almost nose to nose with the one with the flutter wings. Jamaica was still a bit smaller then the rest, but she wasn't foal sized at the very least.
"i don't remember names, faces are hazy. Been too long." she looked away as if she had made a mistake. "Feelings are there, but... i can't reach them." She was feeling the most lost, wanting to run away again. Then there came the trumpeting voice of another from behind her.
A harsh cry came from her before she instantly shrunk and scampered forward towards the line of mares to hide behind the hooves of one. Her wings a quiver as she peeked out towards the gold colored stallion with the black markings on his face. Was the sea of bodies ever ending? Ears falling back, she all but whined as she looked up towards the belly of Malibu, hoping she wouldn't step backwards and squish her
