____ Jasper got a very pleased look on his face as she saw their pizza coming in. A verifiable unidentified flying meat covered object. It was crammed with layer upon layer of meat on top of delicious melted cheese. He grabbed one of the plates that was set out for them and snatched away the slice closest to him before depositing it onto the plate. "Well thankfully the arrival of this marvel of cooking shall save you from the company of my stomach. He will be satisfied and not become chatty in the least." He messed around with the strings of cheese which were doggedly trying to connect his slice to the whole still. When he finally got them to come apart he looked up from his first course. "So you also are looking for a place. Most places don't seem to have solo bedroom apartments available right now. Saw lots of good two bedrooms though. Perhaps we should look together for a nice but affordable place."

____ The slice of pizza he had claimed ended up being juggled between his hands because it was hot but Jasper was persistent and managed to get it up to his mouth for a bit. Which of course burned his mouth and left him hammer his free hand on the table as he put the slice of hot pizza down with the other and proceeded to attack his drink. Once he had cooled his mouth off he started blowing on the offending pizza to cool it down. "So you grew up on an island as well. We seem to have a lot in common. Talk about your ironic meetings. Or maybe its fateful meetings." He said between breaths and blows of cool air onto the surface of his cheesy meaty opponent.

Emilie smiled down at the pizza placed before them. She chuckled while she reached forward, grabbing a slice of the pizza and transferring it to her own plate. "Well, I guess you'll just have to be chatty enough for the both of you." She smiled and raised her slice of pizza to her lips, blowing on it a few times before taking a dainty, yet large bite out of it. She looked over to Jasper as she chewed, listening to what he said about apartment hunting. She smiled over at him and se her pizza down as she swallowed her bite. "Only if I get the master bedroom. I am a girl, you know!" She flipped her long, blonde hair as if for dramatization before dissolving into a fit of giggles.

The blonde watched as her companion juggled his piece of pizza. It was quite an interesting sight to see. The male beside her finally seemed to get a handle on his pizza and take a bite, which then prompted him to smack his hand on the table repeatedly, creating quite a scene. Golden eyes widened as she watched Jasper put his pizza down and gulp at his beverage. She raised an eyebrow, the corners of her mouth tilting up in an amused smirk. "Bit hot, is it?" The heat from the pizza didn't really affect her. A perk from her powers.

Jasper's mouth seemed to have cooled down enough for him to resume conversation, because that's exactly what he did. Listening quietly, Emilie took another bite of her pizza. She nodded her head once to confirm that they had a bit in common. At least...as far as where they grew up went. The rest of her background....she doubted he had in common with her. She swallowed and chuckled. "I believe, 'coincidental meetings' is the proper term."

____ Jasper chuckled a little and then tenderly worked on picking up his pizza again. He held it on the corners so the crust wouldn't burn him. As he lifted it he blew on, adding a discrete blast of his own powers to chill it so he could eat it without issue. He took a small testing bit to be sure he got it right before replying to her very first comment. "And what if there is no master bedroom?" He asked her. Honestly he had never really spent time around many girls. Especially not as close as living with one. He knew enough to understand the differences in the sexes but he wasn't at all used to the concepts of separation of them. In fact half the times when he had nothing better to do and was close enough to one he wondered why public bathrooms were separated by gender. Emilie seems to have been out and about longer than him so it was very likely she might respond to that with something along the lines of he would be sleeping on the floor then, in the living room, or the couch if he was lucky and they had one.

____ After which he spent a little time working on reducing his slice of pizza down to just a crust. His eyes watching Em as she ate her pizza. He was curious as to why she teased him about it being hot while she herself barely blew on it before her first bite. Was she one of those people like that old guy he met in the coastal town he first arrived in after leaving. He swore that guy drank this flamethrower sauce stuff he called ghost peppers sauce. As he finished his crust he took up a new slice and blew a draft to cool it like the first before taking a bit from hit. Working it down before he responded to her. "I see. Well you never know maybe it is fate after all. Time will tell." He stated before attacking he pizza again. Eventually one would find out about the other and realize how similar they really were.

Emilie watched as Jasper tried to get a hold of his pizza situation, blowing on the slice before taking a small nibble. As if to be sure that it would no longer burn his taste buds clean off his tongue. She munched on her own slice as he did this, attention being drawn back to him when he spoke up in response to her statement about the master bedroom. Her hand released her pizza, the slice dropping back onto her personal plate with an odd 'splat' sound. She gasped and looked incredibly hurt. "No master bedroom?! Well then...." She paused and shook her head for a moment. "We'll just have to find somewhere that does!" She nodded her head as if coming to a final decision before picking up her pizza again and taking a bite out of it, shooting a smirk over toward Jasper to let him know that she was messing with him. Like her overdramatic response hadn't tipped him off already. Though she would prefer a place where she got the master bedroom, if they had to share a bathroom she wouldn't really mind. She was clean enough.

She quickly finished off her first slice before reaching for another, this time not even bothering to blow on it before taking a large bite of it. She finished her second slice shortly before he finished his. She licked her lips, wiping her hands off on a napkin before snagging a third piece, golden eyes flicking from her sustenance to the man beside her. She smiled over at him. "Fate? Perhaps...who knows, for sure, anyway?" She smiled over at him before taking another bite of her pizza. "So, Island Boy. Let's talk apartments. What are you looking for, exactly? Personal bedroom? Community living space? Or..." She smirked over at him. "We could always get a small place and sleep together." She chuckled and winked at him, gauging his reaction.

____ Jasper reached over and picked out his own third slice. By now it wasn't anywhere near scalding hot so he was perfectly fine taking a bite from it without even blowing upon it first. He set it down onto his own personal plate and picked out a napkin to clean his fingers a bit a** he thought on her response. "Sorry but I think you're really over committed to that master bedroom." He chuckled softly and shook his head. Her smirk told him that his reaction was fairly well on the mark.

____ He picked up his slice again and worked on finishing it. By the time he had she had gotten her own third slice. He picked up the glass of water beside his plate. Placing the brim to his lips and tipping the cup back. A little more than half the contents were drunk by the time he set it down. He picked out the fourth slice of the pizza which was the last slice his half had to offer. Emilie started to discuss the apartments with him. "I don't think I am particular about it. Maybe a personal bedroom and all. But that was all expectations when I was looking to room just myself." He explained. He sat back in his chair and thought about new expectations for an apartment. "Lets see... Big enough for two to have a fair amount of space. A decent kitchen would be nice. Perhaps a dining area joint with the living area." He met her eyes and smirk and replied back with, "That would work. If we get a place with a master bedroom and share it well then it will be cheaper. It wouldn't necessarily be small either. Bedrooms are what really drive up prices."

Emilie chuckled quietly while she munched on her third slice of pizza. Nodding her head once, she finished off her slice, nibbling on the crust for a bit until it, too, was devoured. She paused after her third slice was gone, instead deciding to sip on her water a bit. Glass almost empty, she set it back on the table and eyed the last slice of pizza on the tray. Her's, since Jasper had already taken his fourth. She happily grabbed it, taking a first bite. She raised an eyebrow and looked over at Jasper while he talked about what he was looking for in an apartment. She looked back to her pizza while she took another bite, barely noticing the fact that she was getting a bit full. She could still finish off this slice of pizza before she was too full. She was mid bite when Jasper responded to her joke about sharing a bedroom. Apparently he was okay with it.

Her eyes widened and she coughed, almost choking on her pizza. She swallowed, putting the slice down and looking over at her companion. Had he not realized she was joking? Perhaps not...But he did have a solid point about price. She frowned for a moment before nodding her head. "Makes sense. I don't have an unlimited supply of money, anyway." She shrugged one shoulder before going back to her final slice of pizza. She wondered how it would work. Them sharing a room. Would they each get their own, smaller beds? Maybe she would make him sleep on the couch. Or would they just suck it up and share a large bed. Her eyes flicked over to Jasper's face while she was absorbed in her own thoughts. True, he was a cutie. She certainly wouldn't mind being in the same bed as him. She shook her head to dislodge any and all of those thoughts. She hurriedly finished her last slice of pizza, downing the last of her water before setting her glass down and looking over at Jasper. "So...we should go and search for an apartment now, shouldn't we?"

____ Jasper gave her a concerned look as she started to cough and hack like she was choking on her pizza. His eyebrow rose slightly as he tried to figure out why. Was it something he said? She recovered fairly quickly so he didn't see any need to worry about her. "Makes sense. I don't have an unlimited supply of money, anyway." She said after recovering from her coughing fit. Jasper leaned forward again to respond. "Well that makes two of us. So it sounds like that really is the best solution." She was eating as he made his comment. Jasper picking up his own piece and starting to eat a bit from it.

____ Emilie was finished before him and once she finished she suggested they head out. Jasper had only half his last slice finished. His duel colored eyes dropping to it as he seemed to be evaluating it. Sizing it up. This lasted two seconds before he took a couple quick bite washed down with the rest of his water then shoved the rest of the crust into his mouth. Getting it all safely down in surprising amount of speed. He used the napkin he claimed earlier to clean off his mouth and hands. "Yeah, We wouldn't want to waste day light." He said as he put the napkin on the plate and checked his watch. "It seems we still have two hours before the housing offices close. There should be one close by actually, I was headed there to see what apartments they have up for grabs when I came in here." Jasper stood up from his chair and picked his jacket up from the back of it. Putting it back on before waiting for Em to get up and get ready to go. Once she was ready he gestured towards the door and then started walking, leading the way to this housing office.

Emilie smiled over at Jasper, watching quietly as he finished his last slice of pizza in record time. She wiped off her own hands, dabbing at her lips before pushing herself up from the table. She nodded her head while she slipped on her jacket, leaving the front unzipped. "Sounds like a plan to me." She followed him out of the pizza place, turning toward her bike before noticing that he was walking away on his own. She rolled her eyes, going over to her bike, putting on her helmet, and tucking tucking her hair up into it. She mounted her bike, turning it on and revving the engine before riding after Jasper. She easily caught up with him, stopping her bike in front of his form. She reached up and flicked up the visor on her helmet. "You know, my way is probably faster." She smirked, winking at Jasper before putting her visor down and waiting for him to get on the bike. Once he was on, she sped off, following his directions to the housing office he was talking about.
