[PRP] Lying & lying. (Nátʼoh & Shika-Nijiino) [FIN]

It's not that Nat was ever bored, it was more like he occasionally craved some event or some individual to fill his time. He was pretty much free, like, all day...so he had loads of time for someone to come over and share some leaves, or to eavesdrop, or to witness someone getting the crap kicked out of 'em...

The stallion had set himself up under a huge tree on a wide hilltop, enjoying its shade while he slowly chewed on his favorite herbs. His chicken buddy was busy eating at the bottom of the back of the hill someplace out of sight, the muncher. Maybe if he'd hurry up, he could help Nat figure out a way to fill--

Hello...

There was a colorful mare just at the bottom of the hill. Maybe it was just him, but she seemed a little...stressed. Perfect!

"HEY!" Nat called out boldly. "You lost?" Yeahhhhh, that sounded all friendly and chill. He had this. Bye-bye boredom. Not that he was bored...

Shika had heard a voice as he looks up at hill under a tree. A colorful stallion but one missing some of the colors of the rainbow. The missing colors were Green, Yellow, Purple, and Blue. Not that she really had purple on her either but this one wasn't a family member of hers. There were clues about her past she had uncovered. Her father was a flutter cerynei mix and her mother who is dead was a full cerynei. Her old herd was of Flutter Cerynei mixes as well as full Ceryneis. No other breeds were part of the herd at the time it was attacked. She has no clue if the herd is still together or how many survived the attack from the purewalkers that night. Shaking her head a bit as she watches this stallion. "Hello and no not really. I am traveling but not lost."

She said loud and clearly as she bends her head down to snack on some grass as she is going to be on her way if this stallion couldn't help her with a clue or lead. Her mother is dead and she recalls watching that. But news about a brother and her father being alive got to her start traveling again to find more clues about the two. Her mate and adoptive family has given her their blessings to head out on her journey and that if she ever needs them that they will come and find her. So she is marking her path with flowers her adoptive family grows. A hybrid flower that they created on their own. So that is how they can find her if needed. That and her adoptive sister Tsumetai's familiar Aoi Yuri is staying hidden but following Shika to keep her safe if something dangerous. Tsumetai asked Aoi Yuri to do this for her and that is why Aoi is following Shika.

Knowing that Aoi Yuri is close by she feels more at ease when she goes up to others to ask the questions in order to see if they knew of clues to her past herd and family. Once she got her snack she headed up the hill. "May I ask you a few questions? Mister." She wonders as she stretches a bit. Her dream to find her brother and father as well as any other members of her old herd wasn't just a dream anymore. It was more of a reality now with news of at least the two that are alive. So if this stallion has answers then she will listen to him and figure out just what he might know if anything that will give her hope to finding at least her father and brother. It doesn't matter which one she finds first as long as she finds them.

The carefree attitude of this mare was deflating Nat's hopes for an amusing conversation. She seemed a little too sure-footed. Or was it sure-headed...whatever.
So, a traveling mare who took a meeting with a stranger as something completely casual. So casual she could bend down and eat some grass like it was nothing. No social anxiety whatsoever? Huhhhh. That wasn't as fun to play with. Still, maybe...

Rotating the herbs in his mouth from one cheek to the other, he watched the girl approach him and straightened up a bit where he was reclining. "Sure, go ahead," he replied to her question, taking a moment to observe her markings. Dang, his eyeballs were going nuts.

Maybe something interesting would come out of this after all?

"Why Hello again now that I don't have to speak so loudly like I did before. I am traveling to find clues to my past. I know that my family herd was attacked by purewalkers when I was a filly. I have found that My father and at least one of my siblings survived this attack as I did. I was wondering if you have seen anyone that might look related to me? They would be either Flutter Cerynei mix bloods or full Cerynei." She points out being calm and collective as she has seen traveling over the years and use to this.

Also it helps to know that a mountain loin is traveling with her as well even if she is staying hidden and out of sight from others. Shika smiles towards the stallion. "Oh how rude of me. I am called Shika-Nijiiro. But you can call me Shika for short."

EUGH.

Purewalkers...?!

Nat's expression seemed to literally melt downwards with disgusted apprehension. He realized his mistake quickly, however, and settled back into a relaxed smile. If she'd noticed it, hopefully it had looked more like sympathy towards her, errr...unfortunate...past? Damaged fillyhood? Whatever.

"Shika! Not a problem at all," he said, chewing slowly, "I'm Nátʼoh."

Huhhh, wait a second...the be-a-jerk gears in his mind were turning...

"You know, I thought you looked familiar!" Nat piped up, tail sweeping. "I was noticing your markings earlier, yeah...I was thinkin' you looked just like someone I saw not too long ago," he weaved.

"Really That is wonderful. Do you recall where you saw this soquili that looked like me?" All hyped up now as she prances and dances in place watching Nátʼoh. This could be a clue that she was hoping for. Something that would take her one step closer to reuniting with her long lost family. So this was a reason she is all cheerful and hyped up.

"Just telling me where you saw them and when will be of so much help."

Haha, wow, this was amusing. She seemed so excited. Finally, something entertaining.

But ugh, he had to do some thinking now. He hated that part. He usually got caught in his lie once he started getting into details. It was much easier to just make up a story and have someone believe it without question. Why was there always this where-were-they, who-were-they-with, what-were-they-doing stuff? He was way too out of it to come up with that kind of thing right now...

But still, with a gallant smile, the stallion replied, "I actually can't remember exactly," SMOOTH.

Sighing as she couldn't believe that this stallion couldn't recall what to her is the most important thing in her life. But to this stallion it wasn't important and she knew that so she tried to remain as calm as she could. Because there is no reason to get mad. After all she has been lead on before and it has taught her to just move on. So what she is to do now is see if he can recall anything about the one he saw that looked like her as she looks about and then at the stallion again. "Not even the type of area it was in? Because what could be just as helpful." She points out as she watches him closely to see if he can remember anything. The smallest of clues would still be very helpful to her.

With all of travels she has been lucky to get little hints and clues that have lead her to where she is now so even if this isn't what she is hoping for. She could still get something maybe. "After all any little clue or hint no matter how small would be very helpful. I have come this far on such small things as it is." She is still getty and prancing in place because it is hard for her to hold back that maybe she will get closer to her missing family. A family she wishes to find. One she wants to know more of. Are they alive for one thing? How many are stay about and around to this day? She wanted so bad to find them even if she had to do so one at a time.

There was nothing more important to her in this world right now besides maybe her family now and her mate. After all they are also her family even if not by blood they are where her heart is now. Home is where the heart is. This is something her adoptive sister says all the time so it has stuck it's self into Shika's mind and that was just fine because it was the truth no matter how she looked at it. Her home is where her heart is and that is where her new family is because she doesn't recall her blood family.

Stretching a bit as she is finally standing still now. Calm and relaxing her mind. "This might be annoying to you. All these questions of mine but they are very important to me. I can't help but get happy even if it is only a small clue to where what I am looking for might be." She pointed out as she bows to him. "So thank you for taking your time to answer my annoying questions."

Well, he felt a little...bad, now?

How the hells was that possible?

The mare had seemed like such a ditz initially, but this whole long-lost family member thing seemed to be absurdly important to her. What was so great about family, anyway? It wasn't something he understood, not that he really wanted to in the first place. But still, the girl was obsessed with her family, so whatever...maybe he should just end the prank and let her be on her way. It was starting to be a real downer.

"Yeah, I can see that it's...important," Nat replied, shifting in his position. Why was it so important? Agh, whatever, though...it was too tiring.

"Not a problem, Shika. Sorry I couldn't really help you more. I hope you find who you're looking for," he said coolly, mostly lying, although there were some truths in what he said. He actually did hope she found who she was looking for, strangely enough, but it didn't have anything to do with him.

"Take care of yourself," he bid with a toss of his head and a sleepy smile. Well, that was a bust prank, but at least she was pretty. Yeah, he hoped she found her family. He actually did...

Nodding her head as Shika also says her goodbyes and heads on her way.
