Hello everyone! It is I your dear guild captain, Echo Penn, hard at work, moving things around, making things happen. Sort of, lol!

As an artist, I am working towards building up my portfolio as much as I possible can. But as your guild captain, it is my job to inform my guild members on what all of my work involves.

With the paychecks I receive from work, I plan to invest in some equipment and software that I need to help develop my art. One important item that I am going to purchase is a software called, " Photoshop CS5 ". It has been years since the last time I used Photoshop, so once I purchase the program, I will have to re teach myself on how to use the software. I was originally looking into buying Manga Studio 5, but a friend of mind informed me that if I truly wish to go further in my animation and design career, learning how to use Photoshop will benefit me greatly in long run. After I gain mastery of Photoshop, I will look into Manga Studios just to see what that program is all about, lol. After doing some research on Photoshop CS5, I read that the program can be difficult to use if you are a beginner. Plus, the program is really expensive so I might have to look into purchasing an older version of Photoshop. I could just as easily look into online tutorials and " How To " videos on learning how to develop the skills I need to know how to use Photoshop.

The next thing I am looking into investing my money into is and " Epson Workforce All In-One Wireless Printer, Scanner, Copier, and Fax " will become very useful for when I want to transfer the drawings I have sketched onto paper onto my hard drive.

I am definitely looking into buying a new Microphone. I heard a lot of good things about the Blue Yeti and I likes what I see so far, lol 3nodding . It's time for an upgrade on a lot of the software and equipment I am using anyway.

Well, what do all of my guild members think? I'm mostly interested in hearing your ideas about the Photoshop program, seeing as I will be using that software, extensively.

If anybody has any opinions to add about artist investing in equipment, software, and art supplies to further their indie career, post a comment in the forum below and lets start a discussion about it.
