"What the heck!" Said Xuza a bit outraged that things were already so crazy this early.
"Takeshi, come on!" After things had sort of settled, Xuza calmed down a bit. Also sobering was the sound of the word "homeless" coming from someone's lips. It wasn't so much that she was terrified of what Takeshi thought of it, because she'd told him already--obviously!--but rather what Takara would think.

"Yeah, just go ahead and broadcast it..." She shuffled anxiously in the gyro of her ankles. "I mean, I don't have a home per se--but that doesn't mean I'm a bum!" She shook her head, trying to rattle out a rational way to say it, the eight-ball of her mind coming out with a cloudy outcome. Xuza moved to switch subjects instead.

"Anyway, I'm glad you're up on your history," a clean segue. "Now... Let's have it." The whole time she couldn't face Takara. Having a fan was harder than having no one ever was on her.

She truly was Xuza's number one fan. Xuza? Is this true? Why didn't you say anything? You are welcome to stay with me when we get back to our time. Or better yet, I can help you find a place of your own." "Don't mind younger me. He is just forgetful of the most important details. After all of these years he still does it, forget important stuff I mean. One day he even forgot that he had work." "Hey! Stop referring to me in that way, it wasn't my fault you missed work. It was yours!" Welcoming a new subject to talk about, he welcomed the past Xuza's distraction. "Ah, yes, well..." He began thinking for a little while. "I should start with," Takeshi explained to the time travelers the first meeting they had with Paradox, and where it should be, if everything was going correctly.

"Urr-damnit, yes, I'm homeless! Can we please make a bigger deal about it!" Xuza stomped around and quickly jumped over to Takeshi to put him in a headlock. They looked like brother and sister fighting.

"You like that, huh, Pony Boy!" The rage continued for a minute until the future Takeshi agreed to take the subject Xuza'd suggested. Xuza took a seat to better bare the heavy truths of future past.

"...I see. So that's how it is. She--she does this on purpose!" Xuza was standing now. "That witch always does this! She targets the one's closest to me, but never shows herself. Typical. That's why," she summoned her rapier to her hand, "this time'll be different. I'll cut down Paradox before she has a chance to do any harm!" WIthout warning, Xuza darted ahead and slid through the air a foot in front of her. She could be found outside through the kitchen window.

➟ "Ow ow ow! What are you doing?" To the adult in the room it was clear that Xuza had the upper hand on him. "This is just embarrassing. If you are going to finish me then please do so, I welcome you putting me out of my misery." Everyone in the room had eyes on Takeshi and Xuza for a moment, all of them laughing silently. "You had better not let her show you up kid." "Look at her go! Kick his rear into next tomorrow!" Now that everyone had their fun laughing at Takeshi and Xuza, the adult went further into this Paradox business. He should have been happier that all of his previous mistakes would be corrected, but instead he just seemed...tired. "You should go after her, but come back later. I still need to explain a few more things, like Mina." Takeshi turned to him partly confused, but also worried. "Don't worry about it for now, just go." The boy nodded and gave chase to his friend.

And while the bible reference may or may not hit here, especially as time carries us into a sea of secular entropy, it did make her point. She bowed and walked up to Takara.

He was treating them as if they children of his own. Both Xuza and Takeshi were seated on the couch as Takeshi was waiting for a reply. It was vital that before everyone leave, he would inform them of Mina and some other shady dealings. "Alright! Sheesh...you don't need to be so strict. I'm you, remember? You should know more than anyone that I don't respond well to yelling." The adult held the palm of his hand against his face, clearly doing what the younger ones may call, a "face palm". "Hey! Don't yell at Xuza like that! She is an icon! A powerful female hero that doesn't need to be talked down to!" The vested man let out a sigh, his daughter never seemed to talk at the right times. "Not yet she isn't. Now quiet down, please?" With that done he was back to focusing on the two sitting on the couch.
